Overall Good Music DVD.......2007-08-15
This was from when Manson actually put effort into his live performances. When John 5 and Twiggy Rameriez (who actually co-composed a lot of the songs) were still in the band and play as fantastically as ever. Mostly songs from Holywood but also featuring tracks from Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. The varying locations did spoil it a little but you can still pick up on the atmosphere from the different venues and how massive Manson was at the time with the most dedicated of fans. If your a fan this is a must!! Otherwise this is a great musical performance from the band and Manson was still a good front-man though he was just starting to lose his 'shock factor' for some.

Astounding! Marilyn Manson is truly one of the greatest musical performers of our times. I think it's the fact he actually believes what he's singing about that makes him so compelling to watch. To stand up to Christianty in America is a very brave thing to do and his army of adoring fans prove it's a worthy cause. All goths should own this!

`This will help you see what its like to be nailed to this wrecking ball`
The Gods Guns & Government World Tour punched England hard and I remember surviving the Docklands show with one thought, I wanted to wrap the show up and keep it for myself. I smiled as DVD finally reached the Manson camp.
Ill keep this review simple as any flare for the dramatic can be viewed instead on the DVD.
The DVD experience resembles conjoined-twins. On the left sits an on-stage montage footage. Each live audio track is blurred with a flickering image set of various live visuals that confuse the viewer. The set list is true to the concert, erupting from the subdued COUNT TO SIX AND DIE into the classic, volcanic IRRESPONSIBLE HATE ANTHEM and REFLECTING GOD. Where would we be without those and thats just the start. Trawl through the guts of FIGHT SONG, DOPE SHOW,SWEET DREAMS and then wrench the volume up harder for ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR and let those hairs on your neck shiver!
After the remnants of BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, ASTONISHING PANORAMA and LUNCHBOX withdraw into the DVD.. take a break then meet the other twin: Behind the Tour-30 minutes of Manson seduction.
Follow the band on their visits to Russia, Tokyo, London and reminise with former members Twiggy and J5 (who co-directed this feature). Scenes from the J5 birthday, Mansons backstage surgery and Pogo acting his hyperactive self, throws you to the centre of their world.
If you sweated at the concert or you simply wish for a taste of the sour wine then buy this DVD. This will leave you searching for the next tour dates![Rated 4 out of 5 only because of the video montage effect]
All Hail!.......2003-10-21
I had read previous reviews on Amazon about this DV which said that the cutting from one show to another ruined the overall live experience. However being a huge Manson fan I am not easily put-off and I am glad I wasnt. The cut from one location to another makes NO DIFFERENCE to me at all.
This is an excellent DVD rock show recording of a fantastic live band.
Buy it - turn up the volume and enjoy it.
stimulating.......2003-10-11
if you have never seen manson live, this will give you a fair taste of what's going on in his shows. a video can, of course, never entirely capture the atmosphere and energetic performance, but this video is still very stimulating. the permanent switch between the two concerts can be distracting but also adds some interesting aspect to the entire presentation of the show. another cool feature is the small documentary about the tour showing not just the band as such but also gives a taste of the people who attend such an event. the selection of songs is alright, a good mix between heavy and smooth songs. all in all i would definetely recommend this video.
