excellent throughout.......2006-10-25
this is a cracking dvd from a band that influenced so much metal that we see today, and its mega value as what you get are three previously released videos from the band on one dvd with bonus footage of the boys show in the monsters of rock in moscow.
the styles of all the shows is documentary like in style but with a sense of fum and frolic and is highly entertaining and is intertwined with the videos from the albums featured, all in all this is essential if you call yourself a pantera fan or indeed a true blooded metal fan.
Good fun- BUT..........2006-03-20
I suppose this is a good DVD. The song videos are good. But in my humble opinion, much of the rest is pointless filler. Whilst not on stage, we see hundreds of very brief clips of the band just clowning around. okay, so the die-hard Pantera fans will argue that this is a valuable insight into the band's off-stage characters. But as the writing in the red box on the back of the DVD case states, many of the actions and activities within "have been staged for the sake of entertainment" and "are not really what they seem". The guys seem to spend a lot of time being childish and doing silly things. Thats fine if you are of a similar mentality. But what we don't get is a real glimpse of is how the band behave whilst they are NOT clowning around. What their real motivations are. Who they REALLY are. How the song-writing works, etc, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Pantera fan too. And I have to admit that boys will be boys, and the "attitude" is almost as important with thrash bands as the music is. Unfortunately. Basically there's not many Pantera DVDs out there, so if you're a Pantera fan, this one is great. But I couldn't help but think that it played a bit like a few Pantera song videos cut in between a very long episode of "Men Behaving Badly".
A DVD of the century........2005-09-05
This DVD is a good insight into the band and a good example of the typical Southern American metal band. It shows the typical stupid things they get up to as well behind the scenes of their videos and how they were done and their historical Russian gig.
If you like Pantera then this is the perfect buy.
Like everyone says "its great" Buy it!!.......2005-02-04
Agreed with everyone on here, really great dvd buy it buy it. What a band Pantera were, WOW Awesome. Got to be the most honest, most real, most in your face, Greatest thrash metal band ever. I never heard a band sound so tight and together. The world's lost one of the greatest power metal guitar players ever. This band sets the standard, never be forgotten.
Just ridiculously funny and inspiring!!!.......2004-12-23
First of all I would like to give my respects to DIMEBAG and hope he carries on playing those crunching riffs in his after life (WE LOVE YOU DIMEBAG).
How can I start this, Mixing a ''Jackass'' type of humour with possibly the best metal band ever is a perfect combination, you've heard the albums and read about them in magazines, but this DVD just tops off your love for this band.
You get to see the guys acting just like you or me and wandering around with video camera's recording pointless but hilarious footage, an example being, the guys throwing burning objects at their recently deceased Bouncer guy ''BIG VAL'' ( R.I.P)
Watching the guys drink, do stupid stunts, act around on stage at live shows, create their own ''cheezy'' advertisements.
You get to see sections of your favourite band member acting around and doing what they do best, mine being the Vinnie Pauls section where you get to see him messing around on his drums and showing him doing that crazy footwork stuff on ''Far Beyond Driven''s ''Becoming'', see Phil trying to play Vinnies drums and being the funny guy of the group, see Rex raving at the camera guy to get the camera off him but best of all, see the LEGENDARY DIMEBAG, playing those speedy riffs live and acting a fool just like the rest of them.
On this DVD you also get most of the music video's they guys have created, meet the sound techs and setup guys.
See digusting footage, such as squeezing spots, the guys naked and worst of all squeezing white blood cells out of a guys ass cheek, It's Pure Filth.
This DVD is just brilliant and if you want to know a hell of alot more about Pantera, this is what you need.
Over 4 hours of footage (i think) and for the price...you cant go wrong. buy this now!!!

A mixture of sometimes repeating clips.......2008-01-22
A friend of mine bought me this for Christmas and it's quite good fun but not very high quality.
Reading the back I thought I'd get to see some full length runs of some of the courses mentioned on the back. For example against the Red Bull Rampage the back says "A look at one of the top free ride courses in the world." It's a bit misleading because what the DVD actually consists of is an hour of very short clips of riders making (or more often nearly making and crashing) incredible jumps on these courses. On top of that many of the clips are repeated through out the DVD a couple of times. Some of the stuff also looks like it's come off very dodgy VHS.
Having said that the DVD is good fun to watch and will leave you wincing as bikes break, wheels bend and riders get a good pummelling. My nine year old loves it and the two year old can't get enough of it.
If you want to find out what courses like Snow King and Red Bull Rampage are like then this isn't for you. However if you want something to put on while the guys are over having a few beers then for the price you're on to a winner. We've been enjoying it but if it was more expensive then I wouldn't recommend buying it.
