Stereophonics have always been generous with their DVD releases - packed with extras, and always with a pretty good concert too. This DVD release is the same - but is one of the more interactive DVDs I have ever watched.

First off, you get a terrific live concert. It helps if you like this kind of music, of course, but Stereophonics were really kicking the night this was recorded. And the crowd seem to be enjoying it too, and really going mad! It does only go up to their third album, Just Enough Education to Perform, but you get all the Phonics classics here (Bartender, Writer) and some others not usually played live.

Also, most of the concert is interactive, where you can choose which angle you want to watch teh show at. In fact, you'll want to watch the concert at least twice, just to see what you missed on the other camera angle!

Extras wise, you get the traditional Phonics behind the scenes documentary. However, during the concert, a star appears. If you press enter on your remote control, the concert will cut to clips of the documentary. So you can either watch it all at once, or interspersed throughout the concert.

Top band, top music, top DVD, this doesn't disappoint, highcly interactive, it should set the bar for what other music DVDs should be like.

Stereophonics have consistently produced value for money, quality music DVDs, but this is easily the best of teh bunch, and one of the better music DVDs around. The reason: Full interactivity.

You don't just have to watch the concert for two hours, being dictated by the director. Most of the concert allows you to pick a viewing angle, giving you multiple cameras to choose from. Different perspectives of the same concert are always brilliant, and allow you to pick up on things you might normally not have.

Once again, this DVD has a decent documentary, consisting of behind the scenes stuff that show the band as their usual selves. But during the actual concert, when a star logo appears, pressing enter on your DVD remote takes you to relevent sections of the documentary, so you can watch it intertwined with the band playing as well. Genius!

Also, this is one of the band's better performances. The crowd is a riot of energy, and Kelly Jones really looks like he's enjoying himself. Even Stereophonic's slower songs are given a zippier makeover, and the guitar's really rock out. It's lively and a great show.

It sure helps to like stereophonics music, and if you are reading this, you probably do, but I found that even people who don't usually listen to that music found the concert to be good. And you can't do better than that!

Stereophonics At Their Very Best!!!!!!.......2002-08-25

Just when i thought live music from the boys could'nt get any better than the superb Morfa gig they done, here comes the fab "A Day At The Races". They really rock while performing at the wonderful Millennium Stadium, the throaty voice of Kelly Jones really fills the stadium as he sings 16 of their mega tracks superbly while Stuart's drumming is awesome and the guitar work of Scott&Richard make this concert fantastic while not forgetting the wonderful keyboard skills of Tony. If you want to be entertained by one of the best bands around who actually write their own material and perform fabulously live- then this is the dvd for you, as well as a massive 16 tracks of the gig which include tracks from all three albums- the crowd really get into "Traffic", singing at full belt when Kelly stops, to them rocking when the lads belt out the classic "Local Boy In The Photograph" there is also oa load of extras including Documentary footage and the Cutting Room floor while the Photo Gallery is well worth a look!! A truly cracking dvd from the boys of Cwmaman that are just getting better and better XXXX

Excellent dvd, Really poor image quality.......2007-10-24

I bought this on region 1 and it is a fantastic concert unfortunately the image source is terrible one of the worst looking dvds I have ever purchased, have no idea if the region 2 will be better but if so I would buy that one instead
