This DVD should be done under the trades description act. It's NOT a review of the third Clash album 'London Calling' as the synopsis would have you believe. It's a predictable overview of the Clash's career, done far better on Westway To The World. How Pat Gilbert, Don Letts, Micky Gallagher, Simon Humphreys ever got involved I really don't know. Most of the footage is from the 1983 US concert, there is nothing new here apart from the various interviews which disappointedly shed no new light on one of the greatest bands to grace the planet.

If you got the other DVD Punk Icons..this is more of the same.
Same people , mainly but also Don Letts and Chris Salewicz (hey..how long does it take to publish that book Chris.. it's been on the schedule for years)
Mostly a lot of stuff you've heard/seen before or read in the Pat Gilbert book and others. Live stuff that you've got off Westway to the World/Rude Boy. Some stuff off saturday Night Live ..but edited and more off the bootleg vid of clash in 1983 just prior to mick leaving.
The title is deceptive...it is not an in depth study of the London Calling album..but a very brief review album by album of their career.
I'm a fan so I bought it...I don't think I would recomend it..in fact Joe might be turning in his grave right now...VFM ..not this one .. Not authorised by the Clash ... and rightly so..
