The Seekers were (are still?) a group from Australia who made it big in the UK in the 60's. For instruments they used two guitars, a double bass and a tamborine. They had a folk sound and played a mixture of folk music, their own music, covers and gospel music. For modern equivalents think of something like: The Corrs or The Cranberries. They're more my parents thing, but some of it has rubbed off on me.
Their most well known songs are:
A World of Our Own,
Someday, One day,
I'll Never Find Another You
The Carnival is Over
Georgey Girl
and
Morningtown Ride
There are two programmes on the DVD: "Seekers Down Under" and "Seekers at Home" (in the 60's they lived in Britain)
Seekers Down Under:
This programme is filmed in colour. The commentary (what little there is) is very stilted and formal. However the joke about Government would probably have been very risque in that era. Overall it feels like a very long advertisement for Australia. One of the songs was filmed at an incomplete Sydney Opera House.
The track list for this programme is:
We Shall Not Be Moved
Isa Lei (I think this song is in Maori but I'm not sure)
Myra
The Olive Tree
With My Swag All On My Shoulder
A World of Our Own
The Times They Are A Changin'
The Water is Wide
Someday, One Day
Turn, Turn, Turn
Red Rubber Ball
Come The Day
Morningtown Ride
The Carnival is Over
Georgey Girl
Seekers at Home:
This was filmed in Black & White. There's a bit more commentary and it's delivered with friendly humour. It's filmed mostly in the studio but for three of the songs you see early examples of what would be called today "music videos"[1]: Morningtown Ride, Eriskay Love Lilt and Someday, One Day.
The songs are:
A World of Our Own
You Can Tell the World
Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen
Morningtown Ride
Sinner Man
Open Up Them Pearly Gates
Just a Closer Walk with Thee
I Was Born About 10,000 Years Ago
<-- that one's jus a little bit silly
Yesterday
Whistling Rufus
<-- Another piece done for humour
The Eriskay Love Lilt
Someday, One Day
I'll Never Find Another You
A World of Our Own
The Carnival is Over
[1] OK, it could be argued that Seekers Down Under is one long music video but that's another story.

Contrary to what the previous reviewer wrote. . ........2005-06-07
And the song listed as: Yes Ma'ma, is misprinted and misspelled; should actually be: Yes Ma'am
Other than these discrepancies this is a great preformance by the 1980s Osmond Brothers doing some great Country songs.
Along with the other singers on this DVD; Earl Thomas Conley, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Rodriguez, Terri Gibbs & Tanya Tucker
