Some interested footage of the early rock and roll stars and a good performance by Lennon, unfortunately the whole thing is let down by Yoko.

Sorry she could just not sing!

Oh no. Its the Plastic Ono Band!.......2004-06-07

Filmed at the Toronto rock & roll festival 1969, Sweet Toronto
commences with powerhouse performances from R & R Masters: Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Bo Diddley(but alas only one track from each).
Then John and Yoko and the Plastic Ono Band (Eric Clapton, Alan White, Klaus Voorman) take to the stage.
They begin with a few very poorly performed r&r covers and after that it's down hill all the way,and it's a big hill!!
A screaming, Screeching tuneless exercise in audience torture, that shows not a single glimpse of the talents of the band members. A truly awful set that had the crowd booing and leaving in their droves.
The 3 Stars are for the performances of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Bo Diddley.

The Best.......2003-02-15

A hidden gem. Lennon doing what he does best -raw rock and roll. The first part is made up of Lennon performing covers - Money, Dizzy Miss Lizzy - then moving on to perform an awesome Yer Blues, Cold Turkey and an electrified Give Peace a Chance. The concert also illustates the gulf between Lennon and McCartney by 1969, when Macca was writing 'Maxwell Silver Hammer' and Lennon being prepared to back a wailing Yoko for 15 minutes, which by the way is the second part of the concert and the only downside to this DVD.
