As a collection of original recordings it's not to bad, there are a few well known tracks on here including, "I Got You Babe" Sony & Cher,"It's My Party" Lesley Gore,"Silhouettes" Herman's Hermits,"A Lovers Concerto" The Toys,"1 2 3" Len Barry and "Price Of Love" The Everly Brothers, the rest are not known much to me, but, are OK. If you are looking to add to your collection of 60's sounds, then get it for the above mentioned tracks as I haven't(apart from Sony&Cher and Herman's Hermits) seen them elsewhere.

A rare chance to see Buddy on DVD.......2006-06-16

This is a DVD from a US tv show featuring live performances by Buddy Guy, and 2 other R&B/blues acts. I guess the majority will buy it to see Buddy, as I did.

Buddy's set is around 40 mins long, and mostly features songs
from the Sweet Tea album, plus Damm Right I've Got the Blues, and Five Long Years (which is incorrectly titled "Mistreated" on the sleeve).

The sound quality is poor, and Buddy's guitar is so low in the mix for 80% of the set that you can barely hear it. Tony Z's keyboards dominate for most of the set.

The performance is very restrained compared to Buddy's usual live style, and the solos are restricted - obviously to meet the TV station's time requirements.

The highlight is Damm Right, where Buddy comes alive and you can actually hear the guitar. On Five Long Years there are some good, but brief, solos from Frank Blinkal and Jay Moynihan.

Ultimately this in another attempt to capture the "live" experience of a Buddy Guy show which falls some way short. But it is a rare chance to see Buddy on DVD so probably worth fans buying for that reason alone.
