great entertainment from Del Amitri.......2007-07-18
This is a really good buy for Del Amitri fans, the only reason I've given this four stars and not five is that a few favourite tracks aren't on this dvd. NOTHING EVER HAPPENS/SPIT IN THE RAIN/STONE COLD SOBER/KISS THIS THING GOODBYE being the main ones. Whether these are available on other dvds I haven't managed to find out as track listings aren't shown. All that aside this is a top quality dvd, with an easy to use format, and really fantastic vidoes. It stands the test of time and is a great introduction to del Amitri music. If you've only heard a few of their songs I would definately recommend this dvd as the more you listen the more you'll love it. Since buying this dvd I've dug out their best of cd HATFUL OF RAIN full of really great tracks. Enjoy being a fan..and indulge in a lot of visual pleasure, as all dvd tracks are top quality and I would say there is only one song I always skip but that's just personal preference.

I am completely at a loss to understand why Del Amitri, or more precisely Justin Currie is without either a record contract or a label. Del Amitri are to me the real soundtrack of the 90s with their superbly composed, crafted and performed songs mainly dealing with that most enduring topic, young-adult-male-lust-confused-as-love!
I normally do not have much interest in DVDs composed of music videos but such is the paucity of Del Amitri material that really there is nothing more to obtain.
Unfortunately, some of the music videos are sadly dated and twee, obviously produced for the US market in an attempt to support a breakthrough into that lucrative market. For that reason, you may be disappointed. If nothing else this is a visual version of a greatest hits album and the interest is seeing how the director translated the song into a short visual story.
For my part I was happy to part with some dosh to have what may be the only visual reminder of a superb band who deserved (and still deserve) considerably more success and following than they currently have.

I love this movie! It's a fine comedy.
I love the romance, the schemes and betrayal, the surrealism of the piece.
Keanu is very good as the clean cut,aloof, yet smitten 'young man'. I especially like the 'dream sequence' with the jealous rage and torment .
Peter Falk does a good turn as Carmichael. He does very good accents. The animal jokes were great.
The Albanian jokes are weird, but hilarious. For example 'You're driving like a one armed Albanian with crabs'. It works though.
A classic film for any fans collection and the boppy soundtrack is a must too.
