UNLESS YOU ARE WELL UNDER TEN YEARS OLD DON'T BUY IT !!!.......2007-05-19
One of the most appalling recent films ever! More like a very old horror movie in terms of the quality of plot, dialogue and acting. The plot is daft. Stonehenge has trees round it. Guinevere is from Kensington and most of the cast act appallingly, which only makes the awful dialogue come over worse ... and it gets more awful as the film goes on. It is funny ... but for all the wrong reasons! Let's face it, though, much as I like Rik Mayall casting him as Merlin is pretty ridiculous to start with. The three hour Merlin film really is worth watching (with none of the same actors of course and Sam Neill as a really good Merlin) but not this rubbish. At the end, all you can think is: why didn't Lancelot stick Excalibur through Mordred at the beginning and save us all from having to waste an hour and a half of our lives on this pathetic excuse for a film? Even a bright child under ten is likely to find this film puerile [...].
Magical entertainment.......2004-12-22
This film works its own kind of magic. It is one that both adults and children can enjoy and I suspect that those elements that got it a PG rating, are precisely the ones that children will enjoy the most.
Rik Mayall steals every scene that he is in, his slightly anarchic Merlin, who fusses about which gown to wear, transforms into the mighty magician with consummate ease.
This film was shot in Africa, but the viewer would never know this, every scene seems to have been shot somewhere in rural England, and the sets, especially that of Stonehenge are superb.
The film is well shot, well acted and a joy to watch. It has no bad language, no unnecessary, gratuitous violence, it even manages to provide a happy ending that is belevable. It is not twee nor does it insult the viewer's intelligence and the ultimate test, it is worth watching again and again.
A stellar cast.......2004-03-02
The cast of this film is incredible, drawing out as much comedy as possible, however its is a kids film and an effective one. Ricky Mayalll is great as Merlin the wizard able to be comical and serious when the ocassion calls for it.
The child actors perform admarably and Craig Shaffer shows some great characterisation as the serpent like dark sorcerer Mordred. This is a nice film, with a little less exposition thats needed really and not as much desired character development, but it was executed well.
Excellent family fun.......2002-07-03
This film, is a very nice little movie that has quite a lot of special effects for the children to enjoy. Me and my family really enjoyed it and Rik Myall is excellent as Merlin. You will not be disappointed.

A christmas dissapointment.......2007-12-25
I can honestly say this interactive game was a real let down. It boasts a multitude of rounds in different areas which has some real appeal, but is badly let down in certain areas.
- Firstly the away questions are far easier than the equivalent on TV and with only 3 options available it is easy to guess any you dont know with a reasonable success rate. The addition of the ask Matt is nice, but again makes the away questions even easier.
- Secondly the one minute round is 6 questions of 10 seconds which at times doesnt allow for enough time to read the things before it times you out.
- Thirdly the what happened next and mystery guest that I have seen so far have all be on shows recently so thats two rounds that are a waste if you actually watch the programme.
All in all there have been worse interactive games, but for its pre-xmas price tag it was a rip off really.

Very enjoyable daffy horror.......2007-06-06
You may remember that demonic puppet Chucky went and got himself hitched in the last Child's Play adventure, Bride Of Chucky, a film that shrugged off the second-rate horror aspects of parts one through three and became a dark and very funny comedy instead. In this one, Chucky and Mrs Chucky (Tiffany) take the next logical step - spawning a creepy puppet kid. With gender identity issues.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of horrors, but I do like the silly ones, and this Seed Of Chucky is about as silly as it gets. For a start, the central premise of a murderous puppet family struggling with their 'alternative lifestyle' is as daft as you like, but there's other things besides that add to the inanity. There's rapper Redman, playing himself except here he's some kind of film director, and you've also got a small part for cult director John Waters, who is apparently a fan of the Child's Play series. Best of all, though, is Jennifer Tilly, who displays an impressive sense of self-deprecating humour. Not only does she voice the evil doll Tiffany (as she did in Bride), but she also plays herself as a rather vacuous actress who will do anything for a film role and is Chucky's ideal candidate for insemination. It's a very weird mix of elements, but that's what makes it so enjoyable, I think, and it's pretty funny, too.
If you're like me and you prefer horrors that live on the absurd side of the street (Leprechaun, Idle Hands, that kind of thing), then I recommend you give Seed Of Chucky a go. It's a good one. My hope now is that they make these new, funnier Child's Play films into a trilogy. The next one, of course, will be Mortgage Of Chucky, where the evil puppet family buys a house and spends the weekends pottering around Ikea. Also, killing people.
EXCELLENT!.......2005-07-18
Seed Of Chucky is simply on the most funniest horror comedies i have ever seen ! After the events of Bride Of Chucky, Chucky and Tiffany are faced with raising their child Glen who has no privates. Chucky wants his son to live up to his expectations and kill, unlike tiffany who wants to be a loving family and says glen is a girl and calls him glenda.
This film is so funny ! I think its one of the best out of the chucky series ! 5 ***** !! I LOVED IT!

Great, but could have done with just a little more.......2006-02-21
As everyone knows, theirs no better team when it comes to the champions league group phase, and uniteds history here is displyed, along with the knockout stages. I didnt like the way the games where set out like chapters of a story, and I think to have a simple timeline would have been better, maybe with more off the pitch reaction. However, the players intervies are great, and the footage is excellent quality. A timeless dvd even if it is a bit rushed at places.
United in Europe.........2003-09-06
Excellent history of United in the European Cup. The primary focus is of course,on the years since the introduction of the Champion's League, so anyone looking for detailed footage of the campaigns of 1950's and 1960's will be disappointed. However this is an excellent recent history of the continent's most successful Champion's League group qualifiers. The DVD includes extremely interesting behind the scenes footage from several games, and the extras include all the goals from the 1-5 win in Lisbon in 1966. Recommended buy for any United fan.
Superb!.......2003-09-02
