Blazing introduction for Jonas.......2004-11-14
I first saw the character of Jonas Quinn (Daniel's replacement) in an episode well in to series six, and was not much impressed. However, one really has to see the episodes here that fill out his character, back story and motivation to understand, and learn to love the guy.
The stories are exciting, with plenty of genuine jeopardy and much of the wonderful interaction between characters that is one of the main reasons why people love Stargate. So, Daniel fans, wipe away your tears and learn to love the new gorgeous geek in town - Mr Jonas quinn of Kolowna (not the one in Canada!)
Stargate SG-1 Season 6.......2003-05-17
The show that just keeps getting better. As we enter season 6, it is like a whole new show with new enemies and some old ones as well. We also have a new team member in SG-1.
We start with the two-parter Redemption where Teal'c gets word of a family emergency and Earth faces a seemingly unstoppable attack from the Goa'uld. Redemption part 1 and 2 play very much like a new pilot episode for the series. The special effects budget for this episode must have been huge. Next up is Descent. This episode is a continuation on the last episode of season 5. And then we have Frozen, where we explore more of the hidden history of Earth. The bonus material on this disc is pretty good. You have audio commentaries for all 4 episodes, 2 behind the scenes featurettes and trailers of episodes on the next DVD (Volume 27). You can not get much better with Stargate on DVD, as this is. :)
STARGATE SG1 EXCELLENT.......2003-04-10
Now we move into the next season and they have tied up all the loose end's with the old stories, they get a chance to bring in new charecters, new stories and a Brand new nember for SG1. I have been watching this series for some time a this season is coming up to be the best! A MUST BUY 5 STARS
Best Scifi show on tv!.......2003-04-09
Now that Stargate SG1 starting series 6 on a different network on american tv & with the lost of Micheal Shanks. They can now improve character building with the cast including Corin Nemic who came on the show in the final two eps. of series 5. The show even improved the opening sequence.
Wicked! Well worth the wait........2003-04-02
The wait for this DVD was well worth it! The episodes are a great opening into season 6 and the introduction of Jonas Quinn to the team. The audio commentaries are brilliant, especially 'DESCENT' which includes actor Gary Jones 'Technician Guy'. The continuation of the director series are brillant as well, they include Peter DeLuise on 'NIGHTWALKERS' and Martin Wood on 'ABYSS'(with an added bonus of seeing lots of Michael Shanks). All in all a brilliant watch.
