Hidden Gem.......2007-10-09
Got to be very honest and say it is my personal interest that makes me rate the so highly. I worked for Austin Rover at this time and just loved those TWR Rovers in the ETC.
The main part of the disc is a pretty dull race-by-race review with almost unbearable fake "live commentary" that even I struggled to watch, but buried in the special features is a real gem.
There you will find a 30min film made by motor sport film experts, BHP, that looks at the year from the Rover team's perspective. It has great action, interviews and an amazing soundtrack: Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Foreigner, Alan Parsons Project, songs from the Italian Job - even Des Lynham narrating.
I watched it endlessly 20 odd years ago and it was a real thrill to see it again.
Does a joyous 30min justify buying the whole disc? I'd say so, even for those not as fanatical as I am.

Brilliant action.......2005-11-29
Freddie's new DVD must have the best collection of cricket action ever brought together on one disc. Usually with these DVDs there's hardly any great action, but this one has got loads. It includes Botham's Ashes, that brilliant one day hundred from Viv Richards, Lara's record score, plus plenty of other really memorable stuff. And it's got all the great Freddie innings and lots of his wickets. The first half hour of the DVD is just about this summer's Ashes and Freddie's really honest about what he went through. It turns out he was nearly arrested trying to get to the last day of the Old Trafford Test. It's got pretty much all the key action from the Ashes series and Simon Hughes has a good laugh with Freddie. Great entertainment.
Relive Ashes Glory With Freddie's DVD.......2005-11-25
It seems that everything Freddie Flintoff touches at the moment turns out magic. This DVD is simply outstanding as England's favourite sportsman talks viewers through the Ashes win over the Aussies and also some outstanding cricket from recent history. Learning Freddie Flintoff's thoughts on the Ashes win a couple of days after they had finished provides a great insight into all of the key action. Freddie Flintoff and Channel 4 analyst Simon Hughes combine very well together to provide a very enjoyable cricket DVD with Freddie yet again on sizzling form. If you need something for a cricket mad person this Christmas or something for yourself to help you through the long dark night of winter until next Summer then this DVD is just the job.
