Amazon.co.uk Review
In Disney's The Kid Bruce Willis takes a holiday from his tough-guy roles to play Russ Duritz, a grouchy PR consultant who has lost touch with his inner child and spends his days bullying his secretary and being mean to his sweet-tempered girlfriend (Emily Mortimer). Then a rather podgy child appears who turns out to be Russ himself, eight years old, newly arrived by a trick of time-travel never really explained. In the course of some amusing scenes the boy persuades Russ of the error of his ways, so that by the end he even likes dogs (hating them being an infallible sign of a bad character). Willis shows, not for the first time (remember his early TV series Moonlighting?), that he has a gift for comedy and it's a pleasant hour and a half; though there are few really big laughs, kids of all ages will probably like it. --Edward Buscombe

Not the best of the Baby Einsteins.......2004-07-03
I bought this because my baby son loves Baby Beethoven so much. Both he and I were disappointed in Baby Bach. It seems less engaging than the others, with less life and fun. I have put it on several times but he just isn't interested. If you are going to buy a Baby Einstein video/DVD, I would recommend Baby Beethoven or Baby Mozart but not this one.

This tape consists of close-up images of such executive gadgets that can be bought over the counter - wheels oscillating within wheels etc, tho strangely no kaleidoscope images, perhaps considered too redolent of many parents own childhood TV - not particularly appositely paired with bits of cornier Bach re-rendered in corporate zylophone. However it did seem moderately attractive to our ten month old infant on first showing.
i suggest you buy a blank tape and make your own version, with bits of Bach you actually LIKE.

Great learning tool.......2004-01-25
My daughter, who is mildly autistic, has learned her colors by watching this video. She is now able to communicate to me what she wants by telling me what color it is (if she doesn't know or can't remember the name). All the Baby Einstein videos have helped her express herself and start conversations. This was previously impossible for her. When I would tell her the name of something she would parrot it back to me, without real understanding. Somehow, this format has enabled her to make the connection between the word and the object, shape, or color.
