Amazon.co.uk Review
It has become traditional for The X-Files to kick off each new season with a humourless conspiracy two-parter, and Season 9 is no exception: in The X Files: Nothing Important Happened Today David Duchovny's Mulder is gone, along with everything in his apartment, and Gillian Anderson's Scully is mostly at home with her perhaps-telekinetic baby, which leaves the bulk of the investigation to promising new characters Doggett (Robert Patrick) and Reyes (Annabeth Gish).
The A-plot features Lucy Lawless as a water-breathing terminatrix who could be an alien, a government experiment or a mermaid without it making any difference, but too much time is spent on impossible-to-follow subplots about internal FBI politics and everyone's intricate backstory (if ever a release needed a "previously..." prologue, this is it). Usually, the series gets over these heart-sinking openers and livens up a bit, but this time there's a feeling that this is the end of the line for a thoroughly battered premise.
Chris Carter joins Gene Roddenberry in the exclusive category of producer-creators who turn in the worst scripts for their own shows, and all the strengths of The X-Files (shivers, wit, provocative ideas) are missing in action here as the engine grinds on empty.
On the DVD: The X-Files: Nothing Important Happened Today on disc arrives with two three-minute filler featurettes, focusing on Gish's character and the making of this show. The good news is that this anamorphic widescreen release is the best The X-Files has ever looked in a television format, showing that however dramatically exhausted it might be, the show remains technically impressive. --Kim Newman

Top boys stuff.......2002-09-17
An hour and a bit of big kids, argument settling, metal thrashing car fun. Head to Head is all about "my car is better than your car" Yamaha R1 V Porsche 911, Formula 1 V Rally V ToCa, BMW V Jaguar... Great fun, with Clarkson's unbeatable "big-kid" delivery. If Cars and things light your candle and you like a humorous commentary from someone who gets paid to try out every car there is... you are in for a treat.
The most entertaining car video in the world........2000-08-08
The sound is amazing , and the quality is really good. This video has a wide range of cars, so no car fan will miss out. Boy racers will love to see the Impreza's, and sports car lovers the Aston's and Ferrari.
This video does not just review cars, it goes beyond that, for example the race between the Focus rally car, Cougar, and Stewart around Silverstone, and the race between the Suzuki R1, and the 911.
The video combines humour with serious car performance. Being from Norfolk I should be anti-Clarkson, but I'm not because he is with out doubt a great car presenter, and this is a great video, well worth buying.
Average, not as good as previous offerings. DVD a bonus........2000-03-15
This promised to be a blinder. The DVD picture quality is superb, and it sounds good too, but there's an overrriding feeling all the way through that Ford paid for the whole thing. Odd how the Aston beat off the Ferraris despite Clarkson being a huge Ferrari fan. Three Fords at Silverstone. The Jag hanging on to an M5 around Millbrook's Alpine Course with Jeremy and Tiff at the respective wheels...? I don't think so somehow...Then there's that Shell advert in the middle. Sure, there's lovely photography, but it's an ADVERT. If I want adverts I'll watch Sky One. Seems Clarkson in hell-bent on torturing cars, rather than actually demonstrating what they can do. I for one would much rather see Tiff blatting them round Kemble driving them properly, not just Clarkson doing donuts like some aged boy racer on Tescos car park. This is one for the list, but not a patch on previous offerings. Come on Brian Klein, I've seen you do better...

This Is A Cushing Film (Image Release Version).......2005-09-26
Let's face it, this movie was a low-budget horror film with bad special effects. But, it does have one saving grace; Peter Cushing is wonderful as a police detective trying to follow the trail of a blood-feasting (totally ludicrous and campy) giant moth woman.
The picture quality of the DVD is fairly good, and the sound is fine. It is presented in letterbox (non-animorphic), which is much more pleasing to view then the Pan-and-Scan vhs copy that I first saw this picture on. The setting is Victorian, and having a British cast, the performances are believable and elegant (even if swallowing the idea of a giant Deaths-Head moth makes you gag a little). If your after a film of the quality of "Horror of Dracula", or "Curse of Frankenstein", then don't bother. But if your a die-hard Peter Cushing fan, like I am, you'll probably enjoy this movie, as I do. There's not much suspense, but there is plenty of dry British humor, and some fine performances. Just don't expect to be dazzled by the special effects. Think of it as Sherlock Holmes meets Godzilla, and you'll do fine.

If you missed the show then check out this DVD.......2008-01-16
WWE Live in the UK DVD was Raw, Smackdown and ECW televised events showing in Birmingham, England October 2007 if you watched this on Sky Sports this is the exacted same 3 programs with the adverts cut and replaced with don't try this at home segments. The DVD is not bad ECW as always though has a bad show but now i will give you a list on the matches.
Raw
Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy
Santino Marella vs. Val Venis
Mr Kennedy vs. Randy Orton
Mr. McMahon introduces Umaga
Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall
Rory McAllister vs. Brian Kendrick
Hardcore Holly vs. Cody Rhodes
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton
My thoughts:
Randy Orton wrestles 3 matches on Raw but all 3 are pretty good matches but then there mixed in with a match like Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes to boring wrestlers. I would only say what makes this Raw is the 3 Randy Orton matches the rest are nothing special but there is some great backstage segments with Hornswoggle and Coach
Now the ECW List
ECW
Handicap Match
CM Punk & Kane vs. Big Daddy V, John Morrison & The Miz
Elijah Burke & Nunzio vs. Jesse & Festus
John Morrison vs. The Miz
My thoughts:
First of all why team Elijah Burke with Nunzio that is to stupid i would say Elijah is to good for Nunzio anyway they end of losing to boring Jesse and Festus. John Morrison vs The Miz another match that lacks they could at least used another ECW star for the match but no they did'nt. The only match that is decent is the handicap match and thats only because CM Punk and Kane team together.
Now the listing to the Smackdown matches
SmackDown
Great Khali vs. Kane
Chris Masters vs. Chuck Palumbo
Matt Hardy vs. Finlay
Drew McIntyre vs. Brian Major
Deuce & Domino vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore
Undertaker vs. Jamie Noble
Rey Mysterio vs. MVP
My thoughts:
Smackdown is an ok show again matches that lack Undertaker vs Jamie Noble we knew that this match would not take long and you would know who wins anyway. Chris Masters vs Chuck Palumbo never took much notice as i really did not care about them. Matt Hardy vs Finlay is fairly good MVP gives Matt help in the match. Great Khali vs Kane is way better then there match from Wrestlemania 23. Rey Mysterio vs MVP this match would have been great but pretty short and Finlay wrecks everything.
But now is pretty much the best part on the DVD it's an exciting match from Raw in London this done April
Special Feature:
Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena (Raw live from Earl's Court, London - 23/4/07)
My thoughts:
This match is almost 45 minutes long i hate Cena but i don't mind Shawn Michaels but this for sure is one of the best UK matches WWE have done. It is exciting and it is one of the reasons why you should buy this DVD. I can tell you it is way better then there Wrestlemaina 23 match.
Overall:
The 3 shows featured on the DVD all have matches that lack some you will love while others you will hate but if you are a WWE collector this one worth owning specially for the DVD extra.
