dvd not as good as I had hoped it would be.......2006-07-08
I would describe myself as a fan of Shania Twain since I listen to her music more than just about anyone elses and consider her album "up!" to be the best I've heard in the english language,but this dvd of her music videos is not so great and that is because the music videos themselves are not so great.Visually I found many of the videos boring and did not think the sound quality was as good as it is on her cds.Buy the dvd of her concert in Chicago instead because that has good sound quality and is
visually spectacular.
The Platinum Collection.......2003-06-29
I absolutely love this dvd. It includes a video to every released track from her first self-titled album to Come On Over. I hadn't seen some of the earlier videos from songs on her first album so it was good to get an opportuinty to see what they were like. I bought this quite a while ago and I still watch it all the time. It also includies extra bits of information on each of the videos, things like the director, where it was filmed and what date it was filmed on. I'd recommend it to any Shania fan.

A must have item for longtime fans.......2002-11-23
This DVD is an excellent addition to veteran fan's collections. It does have it's limitations however, which probably preclude it's becoming a bestseller.
The narrative is spot-on, very informative and easy to follow. Unfortunately, there is very little footage on-screen throughout this narrative. We get to see the well-known-by-fans clips of Elvis's induction into the army, but after a first run of these in their entirety, they are replayed as 3 second clips again and again, interspersed with still photographs.
Although this does not greatly detract from the narrative content, you will find yourself looking away from the screen whilst you listen to the narrator.
There is an audio CD in this package that is nice for die-hard fans, but almost certainly a dead loss for newcomers to Elvis. The sound quality is very poor, albeit understandably, as the tracks featured are around 45 years old. If you listen carefully though, you will be transfixed by the raw energy and ebullience of the early Presley performances. I almost prefer this rough, raucous music to the later, polished and professional sound that Elvis produced with RCA.
All in all, this DVD is worth buying. But don't expect too many special DVD extras, because there are none.

A nostalgic lookback........2003-11-19
A fabulous DVD recapturing all the glorious moments from arguably the best sporting show ever produced.
It almost brought a tear to my eyes to see all the great clips from this show, Keegan's bike drama the amazing Brian Jacks battling for supremecy with Keith Fielding, Brian Hooper taking on the Americans in their own backyard and beating them handsomly. The DVD also has profiles on the great David Vine and the late Ron Pickering a fabulous double act that made the show so wonderful to sports and non sports enthusiasts worldwide.
Buy this, sit back, take in the classic theme tune and go down memory lane to a never to be repeated piece of sporting excellence.
WELCOME TO THE SUPERSTARS!!!!

Janets BEST work on video!Original videos from 86-96 showing footage from the Rhythm Nation Tour(BLACK CAT)and Control Tour (CONTROL).Very good making of RUNAWAY documentary with interviews with Janet.Compulsive viewing,I watch this video at least once a week because it is sooooooo brilliant!

Sensational Whitney.......2008-01-15
This DVD has an amazing 23 full length promotional song videos, some studio some live. There are special features galore including extra videos, documentaries and interviews. This is a real treat reminding us what a sensational singer and performer Whitney is. My favourites are "How Will I Know?", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "I Will Always Love You" but so many of them are great songs it makes you smile just to see Whitney perform them. It's also a trip down memory lane for me as some of the songs remind me of particular events of my life, in a good way. I can't recommend this highly enough. I chose it instead of "The Ultimate Whitney".
whitney rocks.......2004-05-01
this dvd shows exactly why whitney is the greatest female artist of all time, its packed with loads of interviews, live performances and video clips and you can also get the lyrics to all of whitneys songs!!! i truly loved this dvd and would recomend it to any1!!!!!
Excellent music, bad video sequences.......2000-06-15
All of the music is fabulous; Whitney has a truly wonderful voice which is brought out by the DVD meaning it is a must for all fans. The video part however, is permanently out of sync with itself which means you get all the wrong words at the wrong time with the soundtrack. The interviews are good and other features are useful but you have to specifically set the sound track mix to use 5.1 sound as apposed to Dobly Pro Logic; doing this each time you use the DVD is annoying and this process is not documented anywhere. Using 5.1 the sound is amazing; Dolby Pro Logic just sounds like a standard CD - so if you can't play 5.1 sound it's not worth buying the DVD except for the interviews etc.
Whitney Houston DVD is a must for all fans.......2000-06-12
This DVD has so many special features, its unbelievable, It has more videos than the video video has and interviews and so much more. Any fan of hers must buy it.
