best of 2001 review.......2004-02-19
an ok video but it doesn't show the whole of the matches but it is still a great video i recomend this video to big wrestling fans i think this video deserves a 8/10.
Entertaining but a rip off.......2003-06-24
Rather like the the first review I bought this DVD in anticipation of all these matches on one DVD, I got it home and was dissapointed to find that there was maybe 10 minutes worth of the matches at the most - I did feel dissapointe by this - the only consolidation was that I had a few of the matches anyway. But if you are looking into buying a WWF DVD do not buy this, if I could recomend any DVD buy either Wrestlemania 2000 or 17 - worth very penny I spent.
These matches are NOT shown in full!!!.......2002-05-16
This is the first time I ever bought a wrestling DVD and I bought this solely because of the matches and because the guy who reviewed this allready said that the matches were shown in full. This is NOT true. Most of them are halfway through when the action is joined. For example, the winner-takes-all match from Survivor Series was a 5 man elimination match, however, when the match starts on the DVD there's only 2 people left on each team. And the 2 out of 3 fall match from No Way Out between HHH and Austin starts just before the first fall. This is a real shame and take away most of the enjoyement from this DVD. Especially since there's no reason why they couldn't have shown the full matches including entances and maybe even a short clip explaining the build-up to the match. There's no extras on this so there should be plenty of available space. Even more absurd: the only match that IS complete is the lingerie match. How that even got in the top ten instead of the Angle-Benoit cage-match from Smackdown is beyond me. Most of these matches are great but the way they are presented is not. Sorry, but this can only get 2 stars.
WWF - Best of 2001.......2002-03-05
This DVD charts all of the action that took place in 2001 from the Royal Rumble to the WCW/ECW Invasion and the events leading to the end of the year. As this was all voted by the fans, then you should find many aspects of this DVD enjoyable. There is a run-down of the top 10 matches of the year - including The TLC II match at Wrestlemania X7 and the winner take all match from the Survivor Series. There are also top 5 listings for 'other' things that went on in the year - which include the top 5 slaps, kisses(?!) and insults. The good thing about this DVD is that all the matches are in FULL and are NOT highlights. If you didn't see the Best of 2001 on TV then you'll definitely want to get this. If you did see it on TV, then you'll definitely want to see this again.

I am telling you guys, if you were a fan of the Attitude era (and most people were)this is the one out of print WWF DVD to pay an arm and a leg for. This 2 disc set features so many classic moments from 1997-1999. You can see Chris Jericho's debut in its entirity! I would pay 20 bucks just for that. The night of the "Genesis" of DX in 98 and the reformation of DX in 99. What about when Austin and Vince were to go 1 on 1 but Dude Love came out. All that and so many more classic moments. Best of all, the attitude logo is not blurred. This will make up for the lack of extras on the monday night war dvd.

5-3-99. Vince vs Shane for the first time.
6-7-99. Big Show vs Undertaker for the WWF Title. This is the match where Show chokeslammed Taker through the ring.

8-9-99. Kane/X-Pac vs APA for the tag titles.
8-23-99. Mankind vs HHH for the WWF Title.
9-6-99. Rock/Mankind vs HHH/Kane for the tag titles.

BEST WWF DVD EVER.......2006-01-24
I absolutley loved Best of Raw the content of the actual content was amazing and the extras were sensational i loved the handicap match from 1998 between Rock, Mankind and Shamrock vs Kane and Taker i loved the way the team of 3 just beat the hell out of each other: i also really enjoyed the tag match between Kane & HHH vs The Rock & Mankind the ending was brilliant how Kane got punished with the sledgehammer by HHH and then Taker and Big Show (GOD! He has gotten so out of shape since he was in WCW as The Giant, if you remember he was still really tall but not fat like he is now)
The only fault i can find in this DVD, which some people will find as a strong point is the amount that Stone Cold is featured, he annoys me so much how he is always there in the ring like ten men whenever someone needs help. And if you notice he always waits until they are almost knocked completely unconscious.
Good, but not great.......2002-11-08
The actual main feature bit, i felt, was quite weak. No wrestling what-so-ever on either disc, although, I didnt expect any. It is all the backstage vignettes and in ring promos that you get to see, along with the in ring fighting segment bits that arent actualy matches.
Its entertaining and nostalgic, although, certain storylines arent gone into enough depth I think, and incidents, such as when Austin saved Stephanie from the Undertakers wedding/sacrifice ritual thing, we only see austin come down to the ring, where only about 2 people are standing. It misses the fact that Shamrock and Big show came down, and cleared about 10 other guys before hand. Its little things like this that left me dissapointed, as it happens with almst every storyline. The 1 hour time limit is annoying as well, for so much that could have been included.
You'll be buying this for the extras thouhg, which i think are better than the whole main feature. The extras basically cover what the main thing didnt, and they are done quite well, and usually in full, not highlighted exerpts. The DVD is average, but I give it 4 stars because of how much i enjoyed the extras.
A Great Summery.......2001-11-18
This dvd is a brilliant, well put together piece of wrestling action. I have been watching wwf since 1997 and to find out that this dvd basically sums up the period of 1997 to late 1998(dvd 1) and summing up late 1998 to 1999 (dvd 2) was a treat. If you are an austin fan it is a must as it shows the whole of the austin vs mcmahon rivalrary. This dominates the first dvd along with large portions devoted to mick foley and his characters as well as d-x, the nation kane and the undertaker. My only dissapontment is the pointless 5 minutes of val venis, although it is quite humorus. I just didn't see the relevance. The extras on dvd 1 are superb and really are worth it. dvd2 concentrates on the minisrty, coporate minsistry, stone cold vs the rock aswell as the rock battling mankind and teaming with mankind. Also we see the entrances of Y2J and this dvd shows more of HHH's emergence in to the wwf. Extras are also very impressive it's great if you can watch dvd 1 and dvd 2 along with the extras all at once and this gives 4 hours of wwf action ! It's a must for a wwf fanatic and it wouldn't be the same from a single vhs. enjoy
A must have for any WWF fan.......2001-09-13
A really good dvd illustrating the best bits from Raw over the past couple of years. The etxra bits that you don't get with the video are good as well. It gives you extra footage of things that die hard Raw viewers will love. The fact that it is double disc is good too beacause you can easily distinguish from each disc in the set. The only dissapointment was that it didn't show the footage from Stephanie and Test's wedding and engagement, which i thought was a key feature of Raw in 1999. However still an unmissable set for any WWF fan.
