No Broken Limbs Here.......2003-09-21

The stunts of Speed and the hedonistic, thrill-seeking, let's do it for the ride danger of Jackass combining to make a very watchable movie. OK, it's a little silly in places with totally implausible craziness but if you managed to sit through Speed (or any other action movie!) and accept it, you'll have no problem here. With the exception of literally 3 minutes in the middle of the film (the I'm a failure I only got a gold medal scene - it's a nice touch that she wears it!) the extreme sports are full on. Whether you're into adrenaline sports or not you'll not fail to enjoy them as presented here set against pumping music and fast camera action.

Extreme Ops doesn't stop where the sports end. It's not just skiing and snowboarding. There's white water canoeing, train rail-riding, abseiling, parachuting and a great scene where a couple of the boys get chased by dogs but impossibly manage to get away. Even the snowy-action isn't just your regular winter sports.

Good stuff, but it's been done before!.......2003-09-16

I'd been looking forward to seeing this film for a while, so when it finally came to British cinemas I jumped at the chance to watch it. However the plot was a bit thin and although there were plenty of action scenes, there was no proper acting. The best thing about this film was Joe Absolom's (ex Eastenders) solid performance as a snowboarder. I would recomend this film to anyone who likes action film where the plot is simple and the action is in your face!

Out of date.......2006-02-11

This DVD is so out of date with modern skiing. I was looking forward to seeing some mordern day off piste skiing, fast, technical skiing with a variety of tricks. This was a birthday present bought in good faith and i was disappointed that it didn't appear to have any material filmed since the Millenium. The fact that the DVD was released in September 2005 is a real misrepresentation of the material contained on it.

Outdated and not extreme.......2006-02-08

Unfortunately the production date of this video/dvd is 2002 giving the false impression that it is a new production. It consists of old clips from the 80's and early 90's with skiers on 2m plus skis, in one piece ski suits and donning very dodgy hairstyles. The most disappointing dvd I've ever purchased. We've been had, don't fall into the same trap.

Mullets go skiing.......2006-02-02

I bought this DVD following a recent ski trip where the local bar played footage of some amazing ski and board action. Inspired I thought I would buy a similar DVD. What I got was a reproduction of poor quality video straight from the 80's. If you want to watch a film showing Americans wearing day-glow all in one suits and sporting some 'classic' mullets, this is for you. The skiing is not in the slightest bit remarkable, but these 'dudes' congratulate themselves for being great. OK granted there is some humour value in this DVD, but it is not the extreme skiing I had hoped for!

Extreme...ly - old and disapointing.......2006-02-01

I started watching this and thought it was some kind of a wind up, but unfortunately it wasn't. I could only watch about 10 minutes before I had to turn off (perhaps it get's better but I doubt it). Judging by the ski kit the footage is 10 + years old. In places the quality is worse than my own ski holiday videos. And as for extreme - go to any major resort on a deep pow day and you are likely to see far better sking than this. I have never written a review before but feel others should be warned. If I could have selected zero stars I would have done.
