Well-made comedy.......2008-03-14
Despite the fact that I don't support any kinds of sports teams, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Celtic Pride will be a great comedy film for anyone; male or female, middle-aged or teenaged, a sport fan or non, if you want to have some good laughs in your spare time.
Both Stern and Aykroyd were brilliant at this kind of light comedy and for their roles; Mike and Jimmy. I found the film funny from the beginning (when Mike explains one of his students how important for a NBA team to win a game) to the end (loved this ending).
Film's great but I rate this DVD 4-star, only because it has no bonus materials. I wasn't expecting Special Commentary, Blunders or Making of... as this is not a big budget blockbuster film. But the studio could add the theatrical trailer at least.
Roll On Floor Funny.......2006-03-19
I've seen this film several times over the years, and Finally got round to buying it. It has a great cast a very clever and well-scripted story.
For some reason this film has been over looked by the U.K but I think it's something all Men and Women can relate too. Those of us who let sports take over our lives, and the poor people who come second :-)
You will honestly love this film; it shows you something everyone can relate too. It's an extremely funny film that can be watched with a partner or a bunch of mates with a few beers

old-school wrestling at its best........2006-07-21
just what the doctor ordered, a marvellous compilation of the good old days of the W.W.E before it all went too far.
the matches selected, start from 1980 and end up at 1988.
certain wrestlers have been selected in having the highlights of their careers shown in various matches plus a featurette on each wrestler.some of the names chosen are as follows: hulk hogan (naturally), ric flair, dusty rhodes, junkyard dog, sgt. slaughter, paul 'mr. wonderful' orndoff, greg valentine, the iron shiek, roddy piper plus six others. a shame those of andre the giant and don muraco weren't included.
great to see madison square garden as it used to be.
a terrific slice of wrestling nostalgia that no wrestling fan should be without.
1980s - Back To The Future and then Back To The Past!.......2006-07-12
I'm not a huge fan oft this DVD compilation, despite its 3 discs and apparent wealth of footage. Firstly the main feature stinks, each 'star' of the 1980s is giving a 15 minute slot, meaning that their career and matches are brushed over and nothing is explored in much depth. Secondly, many of the true greatest stars of the 1980s don't seem to feature on the DVD very much, probably due to the fact they are not in WWE's agenda, such as Randy Savage, Ted Dibiase, Andre The Giant, and Rick Rude. The DVD extras are strong, and the bonus matches range from ok (Sheik vs. Hogan) to classic bouts (Lawler vs. Von Erich). Overall, this is not a bad DVD, but given that it has 3 discs, it could have been a hell of a lot better. It should have focused on 6 or 7 stars, and truly given them the justice they deserve.

Who wants some?????.......2005-08-01
A bit more brutal than the first 2 UFC's this is again a limited rule no time limit event. The only changes are the referee can stop the fight if he deems the fighter losing is not defending himself. As a martial artist myself I welcomed this rule as certain styles and clubs would not throw the towel in unless their fighter was getting a severe pasting.
See hair get ripped out, groins get punched, triangle chokes, some of the biggest suplexes ever, (thank you Mr Daniel Severn), text book cross straight arm locks, the lot!
See the sport of MMA grow and develop into what it is today. As Japans version, Pride now attracts upto 90,000 people at an event it shows how popular MMA is with fight fans.
I myself am going to buy every UFC as a true fan I can watch the introduction of rules, like no groin strikes (thank God!), or hair pulling throughout the series.
I pray that ClearVision is going to release them all!!
I giggled and cringed at the same time........2005-05-18
This was truly awesome. I enjoy and practice martial arts, but this show made me passionate about fighting. Some brutal match ups, savage submissions, and some character you love to hate. But it's OK, you see them get hair ripped out and faces/groins pummeled. Loved every second included the drawn out yet hysterical commentary, and after fight analysis. Are you ready? Are you ready. LETS GET IT ON!!
Classic UFC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-04-15
the fact these 2 events has been released is fantastic. this is a time there was no rules. everything goes. the most ruthless moments are someone ripping out an opponents ponytail and some viscious groin shots. ouch!!!!! definately worth buying. the best fight to look out for is gracie v kimo. also some amazing suplexes in ufc 4 from dan severn.
