The best I've seen.......2004-07-01
This is probably the best ECW event I have seen so far, it gets the balance between quality wrestling, hardcore action and dangerous stunts just right.
All the matches on this video are pretty strong, but the true highlight of the video is the amazing encounter between RVD and Jerry Lynn. You may have been aware of the series of awesome matches these men had in ECW (if you are not, trust me they are brilliant!), and this in my opinion is the best. It is so fast, unpredictable and innovative, and is possibly the best wrestling match I have ever seen in any wrestling organisation.
Other matches that deserve special mention are; Rhino vs Sandman, which provides the hardcore carnage, and Steve Corino vs Tajiri, which is a blood bath that shows how good Tajiri was before the his talents were wasted in the wwe.
On this video there are 3 or 4 big, impressive stunts that will shock or amaze depending on your disposition. This isn't just mindless violence, amongst the chair shots and table breaks there is a lot of good wrestling on display.
If you are an ECW fan, this is a must have! If you are unsure about ECW this is the video that shows you what the organisation it is all about. I can't recommend this highly enough.
E C DUB!.......2002-07-20
Masato Tanaka vs. Ballz MahoneyThis was a good match to start the show with plenty of hefty moves, stiff chairshots and a surprising bit of technical wrestling.
***1/2
Three-way dance: Little Guido vs. Mikey Whipwreck vs. Simon Diamond
I was pleased with this match, although I wasn't familiar with the wrestlers. It was fairly fast paced and had a bit of innovation.
***
Kid Kash vs. CW Anderson:
I was also not familiar with these wrestlers but I thought that they did a good job, articularly Kid Kash who had a good arsenal of high flying moves.
***
Three-way dance: Nova & Chris Chetti vs. Da Baldies vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill:
This match was a real brawl but a good one. The action didn't slow down and New Jack comes in after the match and completely destroys Da Baldies.
***
Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Steve Corino:
I was interested to see how would Tajiri wrestle in ECW and I was impressed by how stiff a lot of the moves he did were. Steve Corino does a good job of blading himself and also quite impressed me with his ring skills.
***1/2
TV championship: Rhino (ch) vs. The Sandman:
This match was another brawl but another good one. I was very surprised when the Sandman's wife got piledriven through a table by Rhino, it's not something you'd see in WWE.
***1/2
Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam:
This was my favourite match of the show. It had plenty of high flying and good techical skills from the long term adversaries.
****
ECW championship: Justin Credible (ch) vs. Lance Storm:
I was disappointed with this match. Both these men can do better and the match really dragged, the crowd hardly cheer at the end.

Overall this isn't a bad PPV, however it isn't something I would recommend to somebody who had never seen ECW because they may not be familiar with all the wrestlers. There are also other PPVs that are better, before getting this I recommend Barely Legal 97, Heatwave 98 and Anarchy Rulz 99, for example.

Jerry Lynn vs Rob Van Dam, need I say more?.......2001-12-03
This is 1 of the last great ECW PPV's. The production values may be small, they may be in tiny arena's and they may be smaller wrestlers, but that is why we love what ECW was.
RVD and Lynn put on a exellent wrestling, hardcore, spot invested match that 5 stars just doesnt do justice! Everyone from Balls Mahoney to Steve Corino does their best to entertain the crowd. Corino and Tajeri is the stiffist match you will see this side of Japan, Rhino and sandman have a entertaining and quite rightly short brawl. The 3 way dance between Simon Diamond vs Little Guido and Whipwreck has some brilliant spots and eclipses any WWF 3 Way.
On the down side the main event didnt have as much heat as expected and for some strange reason the ending spot where Tajeri puts Corino through a table is edited out...
Get the DVD as compared to the video, they do show Sandmans wife getting piledriven of the apron through a table. Thus making every Vince McMahon look like a marter for net letting his most talented wrestlers use the move on trained men.
A must buy that will kepp any wrestling fan happy for a long while.
EC-dub, EC-dub, ECdub, after this event you will still hear the echoes in the arenas.
Good god!.......2001-09-30
I have seen every ECW pay per view and none of them will ever top this PPV.It starts with a short but brutal and brilliant match with Balls and Tanaka.Talk about brutal chairshots. Then a 3-way dance, not great but not bad at all!!!Then a tag team 3-way dance which is brilliant. It's got tables chairs and guitars. Then an unscheduled match that is brutal, but I wount ruin the suprise. Then Tajiri and Steve Corino,OH MY GOD!The most brutal match in both of their careers, there is just so....much......BLOOD!The Sandman and Rhino is short but deadly.RVD and Jerry Lynn is one of the best matches that I have ever seen!Dont think twice, buy this PPV if you are a fan of ECW!

Don't buy this video.......2006-11-13
I had very high hopes for this DVD, hoping to get a glimpse of the technical details behind GP bikes, or at least a good impression from the riders on what they were like to ride. But instead it's full of stock footage, some of which isn't even from MotoGP let alone the actual bikes concerned. It's very sloppily put together. Obviously the manufacturers don't want to give away too much, but when the team manager mentions that their bike is the only one to have pneumatic valves, it's a great opportunity to put in a little sideline about what they are and why they're beneficial. But there's none of that in this video - not even anything generic about things like suspension or weight distribution. There isn't even a comparison between bikes, or any insight into their development or race day mechanics.
The entire video is: stock footage/montages, a few trite words on how great each team is/was/will be, and a very brief description from a team manager about what a V5 looks like. Big deal.
Funnily enough, it was the extras on the DVD that I found far more interesting, but not enough to warrant the purchase price. There's a decent (but short) look into the Ducati factory that's worth a peek if you find this video in a rental shop.
Whether you're a newcomer to the sport or an old hand, you'll find very little of interest here.
seriously disappointed.......2005-02-19
I bought this video for a friend for christmas thinking that it would be great to get a detailed breakdown of the makeup of these fantastic bikes.
What you get instead, is for most bikes, quick sketches on whiteboards of how the engines are arranged drawn by senior personnel of the manufacturers or teams.
If you think about it, the manufacturers are not going to give too much away about their state-of-the-art machines really now are they.
The final insult for me was that the producers don't even let you hear the engines as they cut away just as the bikes are about to pull away.
In my opinion this video is seriously disappointing.
