Amazon.co.uk Review
Kate Hudson twinkles as the heroine of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She's a magazine writer assigned to date a guy, make all the mistakes girls make that drive guys away (being clingy, talking in baby-talk and so on) and records the process like a sociological experiment. However, the guy she picks-- Matthew McConaughey--is an advertising executive who's just bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days; if he succeeds, he'll win a huge account that will make his career. The set-up is completely absurd, but the collision of their efforts to woo and repel creates some pretty funny scenes. McConaughey's easy charm and Hudson's lightweight impishness play well together and the plot, though strictly Hollywood formula, chugs along efficiently. At moments Hudson seems to channel her mother, Goldie Hawn, to slightly unnerving effect. --Bret Fetzer

One of the best rom-com's in years.......2008-03-03
It is your typical chick flick - gorgeous leading roles, quick-wit, emotional ups and downs that eventually end with the reuniting of the lead characters.
A truly great rom-com, I can guarantee any women who watches this will fall in love with it.
One of Kate Hudson's best!!!!!!!!!.......2008-02-21
This movie is about this young cool lady (HUDSON), who is part of a woman's weekly magazine and her collame is How to!
One of her subjects is o her rescent collmns is How to lose a guy i 10 days!
One night she meets this guy and she uses these anoying tricks to drive him away. One night on the 7th night they have a argument and they are about to breck up until he mentions cuples theopy. She relizes that he is special and she falls in love with him. However his scandal is that he has said to his boss that he can make any lady fall in love with him.
I loved this movie and my mum and me watch it all the time. The perfect CHICKFLICK EVER!
A bit corny but fun.
not particularly humorous or romantic and the story is contrived.......2008-01-30
This film is not particularly humorous or for that matter exciting, romantic or interesting. The acting is okay but the dialogue and
storyline ae ordinary and contrived.I won't be watching this again and I would recommend you watch something else yourself.I say this as someone who usually enjoys romantic comedies.
An Enjoyable Genuinely Funny Film.......2006-10-10
Kate Hudson plays charmingly the lead female in this film opposite Matthew McConaughey- also well acted.
Hudson's character-Andie- works at Composure magazine. Your stereotypical, nails-hair-beauty-men magazine. Except that she studied serious journalism. She's more interested in politics than pilates!
McConaughey's character-Matt-
is stereotypically male. He loves nothing more than sports, women, beer and the lads coming round for a poker night.
In typical romantic comedy fashion... Andie begins to right an article which means she needs to meet a guy, and use (hilarious) female antics to drive him away- all in 10 days. They coincidentally are in the same bar one night.
Matt has started a bet in which he needs to make Andie fall in love with him within 10 days.
Ba-da-bing! Ba-da-boom! There's your funny romantic comedy... It's full of moments you wish you could recreate in real life!!
Good to watch with your partner or with your girlfriends
I found it fun to watch, although maybe not over and over again...
A Surprisingly Good Film!!.......2006-02-23
I borrowed this off a friend after hearing it was quite good and very funny.
I was shocked by just how good this film is! It is a sweet rom com that is unpredictable and has some very good performances in it. Kate Hudson is a very sexy and talented actress and in this film she lights up the screen with all her grace and charm. She is easily the funniest character in the film.
I highly recommend this film and must state for the record, it's NOT just a chick flick!
The only reason I gave it four stars is because the title is a little off putting. However, if it had been 'How to get a girl in 10 days' I would have graced it with five stars.

If you like one, you should like the others...........2005-11-25
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, possibly one of my favourite movies - it will make you laugh out loud and make you feel good for a long time after watching it. Although possibly a far fetched story line, it has good morals, is believeable and the characters make you fall in love with them from the beginning. Enough said - go and watch it!
Sliding Doors - It has been a while since I last saw this movie, purely because I find Gwenyth Paltrow so wet and annoying. The story line is good and puts raises a lot of questions - what if?? Definitely watch this one especially if you don't find Gwenyth Paltrow as irritating as I do.
Ghost - an absolute classic if, a bit dated. Brilliantly cast, Whoopi Goldberg steals the show in this movie that will have you laughing out loud, make you cry and at the end you will feel a better person for having watched it.
