a blast.......2008-01-31
I won't go on and on but believe me I could. This is the best belly chuckle stand up show I have ever seen. good clean family fun too. Hilarious, where has this guy been hiding.
A definate must watch.
I promise you, regardless of what you think your humour is, race, colour, creed etc etc etc you WILL LAUGH.
One of the funniest DVD's I have ever seen.......2007-11-16
Tim Vine is a genius comedian. His clever one liners and the way he delivers them make for a hilarious hour or so of entertainment. His humour is not that different in many ways to the legendary Tommy Cooper, I suppose it could be argued that this is somewhat dated humour, well I can assure you its far better than what many of todays so called comedians are putting out. Having just purchased this DVD along with the new Ricky Gervais "FAME" and new Jimmy Carr "Comedian" this one is by far the best of the three. Not that I dislike the other two but they didnt make me laugh this much. The commentary that Tim Vine does on the DVD is very revealing and so too is the bonus extra of "one Vine month" where he takes his camcorder everywhere with him for a month, showing the highs and lows of an entertainers lifestyle. Fascinating to watch as Tim is incredibly open and honest and you learn a lot about him. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoy a silly laugh without any swearing or vulgarity!
Its deep, very deep, very deep, the ocean is deep.......2007-06-08
And as much as the ocean is deep, this DVD is brilliant. The main draw of the package is the Live Performance at the disc's heart, featuring just over an hour of Tim live on stage, performing his characteristic slew of one liners which range from stupid, through cringeworthy to laugh out loud belly laughing, depending on your mood. Some of the funniest awful jokes in the world must appear in the show; the doctor one in particular had me in stitches (Hah! I even managed a Vine-ism right there!). However, to truly appreciate why this dvd is soooo worth it, you watch the extras. The Deep song, heard briefly and mostly unsuccessfully in the show, is brought to life here with a specially made Brighton Beach video which is both awful to the point of guffawing and yet brilliantly catchy and horrendously funny. The Commentary by Tim himself is hilarious, as he tends just to remember jokes he forgot to tell and include them as well. The short film by himself and John Archer is a bit bizarre but nevertheless interesting, but...show-stopping...One Vine Month is fantastic. Chronicalling 30 consecutive days in his life, it swings from believably mundane (reflecting Tim as a normal person) to horrifically hilarious (chasing the cats) - its all very brilliant and hats go off to Tim Vine for having me laughing almost continuously for several hours. Although my friends are now ostracising me ( i tell too many jokes and i keep putting my head in the ground).
best stand up ever!.......2007-04-05
Tim Vine is the funniest stand up there has ever been! You have to buy this dvd it's amazing! Also, he's a nice guy, if you email him he emails back! This dvd is hilarious - please go and see him live if you can, it's immense!
Don't analyse - just enjoy the puns........2007-02-28
Tim Vine uses silly props, plays on words and good old fashioned comedy timing to elicit laughter from the audience. Machine gun humour. Spray the audience with enough gags and some will hit home (some miss!).
He follows in the tradition of Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd, Ronnie Barker, Eric Morecombe. No cutting satire. No political agenda (considering his brother is Jeremy - the political editor at the BBC). Just relax, there's no swearing, and try to keep up with the sheer quantity of the gags.
Good old fashioned British humour. A refreshing change.

Lithgow and Sutherland shine again.......2000-09-25
Despite the presence of the mediocre Tia Carrere (Wayne's World) and another obscure action film lead, this film has moments of greatness thanks to Donald Sutherland's ability to carry a film, especially when playing a character almost as insane as Oddball from Kelly's Heroes. John Lithgow proves he is an excellent villain, and although the plot is trying at times, a Fed, an assassin, and a DEA agent teaming up to stop bad guy, it is definitely worth watching.
