Charming and idioscyncratic film.......2007-11-13

A very enjoyable film full of humour and good acting, especially by the dog! The story builds up to a great ending that I won't spoil for you.

Yes, Argentine dogo is the breed of the dog in this film. And the UK Kennel Club has banned them. Nice job Kennel Club.
Anyway, relaxing film, so real and evocative. Harsh terrain which mirrors life really. I recommend.

Utterly charming.......2007-05-06

Bombon is the story of a gentle, kind 52 year old man, Villegas, who is made redundant and forced to live with his daughter and her husband. In return for a kind deed he is given a pedigree dog, Bombon.

Despite Villegas initial reluctance in accepting the dog (in fact he does not have the assertiveness to refuse) he develops a relationship with the dog that surprises him.

The dog attracts admirers, who break down Villegas modest reticence and loneliness. Slowly, Villegas regains his confidence and pride.

This is a gentle character study: sweet and charming, utterly heart-warming, and surprisingly funny in places. It is also beautifully shot, with restrained performances from all the cast, relying on little dialogue.

Another subtitle fiasco!.......2007-02-12

I loved this film when I saw it in the cinema, but I wholeheartedly agree with Anne P. Carpenter that the full range of subtitle options (English, Spanish and none) must be supplied. In this edition you only get English and you CAN'T remove the titles. That treats everyone as dumb and spoils the aesthetic effect. This was my first foreign language DVD and only my second DVD ever. I won't be buying any more unless I am 100% sure I won't be getting such shabby product - oh, except for opera where they don't treat you as thick. Great film ruined by cheap presentation. How much money did you save guys? So much!! [...] - Well done!

Top breed.......2007-01-14

A gloriously simple and uncomplicated film, this film is a pleasure to watch. There's no real twists or turns to speak of and it wont get your pulses racing, but its quality along with the shear simplicity of the story makes it a joy to the eyes. This film will leave you smiling. A perfect film before bedtime.

Multi Region DVD players.......2006-12-24

Upon arrival of this product from the USA i took it out of the wrapping and put it into my UK DVD player. I was concerned that it wouldn't play but i found that it played just as you would expect a normal DVD to play. I cannot guarantee that this will work for everybody buying a USA DVD and playing it on a UK DVD player but i thought as i was only paying £5.00 it wasn't a massive lose. So i recommened to people worried about buying USA DVDS and playing them on UK DVD players to take a chance with this. Also i will add this isn't the first time i have bought a DVD from a different country i purchased a DVD from Australia and found that it played in the UK so actually you don't need a multi region DVD player.

Keanen and Kel are very funny, this movie was brilliant. the reason i,m on the internet is beacause i want to buy it. We watched it in my class and i couldn't hear what they were saying people were laughing too much lets hope theres a Good Burger 2.

I've been a big fan of Kenan and Kel for a long time and I always watch them on T.V, Their show is fantastic, so this film is great, Kel Mitchell is sooooo cute, and very,very talented, he can always make me laugh! BEST FILM EVER!

This was an great film, many people critisise Kenan and Kel and this movie but I thought it was great! I think Kel Mitchell is a really good actor and kids will love it!

Two fast food workers Ed and Dexter (Played by Kenan and Kel) find themselves in a battle to save their tiny burger bar from being shut down because of competition from a new bigger burger bar 'Mondo Burger', an absolute hoot!
