A well loved favorite film!.......2007-05-11

Two of the reviews on this page refer to sequels of this film so belong elsewhere....
This film the original is excellent because of the acting by Ray Liotta, the performance he gives is very creepy and menacing, it actually comes accross as such, so much so that it makes you feel the same as Holly does. But hey that's just my opinion!
The storyline itself is that at Christmas a couple of convicts being accompanied by Marshalls are on the flight with a few other passengers. Liotta plays a dangerours murderer, who will stop at nothing not to reach his destination including crashing the plane..........
Well worth a watch, if in doubt rent it before you buy or catch it on Sky!

Goodish but not as goodish as the second.......2004-09-28

I was quite shocked when i saw in the shops that there was a third. I bought and watched it with curiosity, and i think it is quite shocking because the storyline is horrible. The second was just right and it wasn't overdone but they went right over the top because, if there was a top rockstar on a plane and the whole plane would be swarming with security, and it's a coincidence that the pilot was also something to do with it, as well as a fan.
It did have some good action sequences such as Slade Craven (rockstar) talking with the hacker and when Slade Craven is trying to land the plane. The film is o..k..a..y but the second beats it by a long shot. But other peoples opinion counts just as mine. Turbulence 3 is a film which you like or you don't like it.

rock concert has tubulence.......2003-08-03

Heavy metal singer Slade Craven is scheduled to perform his farewell concert on a Boeing 747, TransCon Airlines flight 619, which will be flying from Los Angeles to Toronto, and the concert is scheduled to be broadcast over the internet. It has been said that the FAA has received threats that they had better allow this concert to take place. Erica Black is a reporter who is on the airplane with her cameraman Ethan, covering the concert. For the past two years, FBI agent Kate Hayden has been after hacker Nick Watts, who has gained access to the live broadcast of the concert. When Kate arrives at Nick's home, Kate and Nick see something that they never thought was supposed to be part of the broadcast Craven kills the pilot and takes the airplane hostage.

Terrible.......2002-02-01

This film has an awful plot, bad acting and is full of cliches and those are its good points! It also features one of the worst lines in cinema history: Holly: Why didn't you tell me the pilot was dead?. Liotta: Um, he died. Buy Con Air or Air Force One instead.

A privileged look at the history of modern Israel.......2008-01-05

It is not often that a principal player on the world stage, a former International diplomat and government minister, turns first rate TV presenter and gives us a ring side view of events. That is exactly what Abba Eban did with this mini-series, made shortly before his death a few years ago. Eban had a unique perspective as one of the makers of the modern state of Israel who worked beside Ben Gurion and his successors to bring it into being and served it as an ambassador and minister for many years afterwards. It would be hard to think of someone more qualified in every way to make such a series. The programmes are most enjoyable and highly educational, a fitting epitaph. They end on a sombre note, having been completed in the aftermath of the assassination of Prime Minister Rabin. Sadly, since then we have seen further terrorist attacks, and lately the security barrier. Hopefully sanity will prevail before too long, and those measures that make life difficult for ordinary Palestinians will be removed. A viable Palestinian state in the West Bank, an idea that Eban favoured, that constructively absorbs the energy of young people so that they do not get involved in foolish and destructive terrorist actions, looks increasingly like the only possible solution.

High quality show, they don't seem to make them like this now.......2008-02-09

I'm happy this is coming out but at this rate the full set won't be released till 2019, I wish they would just release them all. Also the first two series the picture quality seemed a bit blurry and unrefined to me, maybe the original was like that though.
