Too much fun to pass up!.......2007-08-15
They say the best workout is one that you will do, and this is one I reach for often because the music is good. With 80's tunes like: "Missionary Man", "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", "Band of Gold", "Hot Stuff" and "Tainted Love", you'll find yourself wanting to move to the beat and/or sing along. (Except perhaps not 20-something year olds who missed out on these songs when they first hit the charts and might want something more trendy). For me it's a welcome change to the plethora of workout DVDs with mediocre to downright uninspiring music.
As others have said, there's more toning here than aerobics, although I enjoy the aerobics too. The moves are basic and easy to follow even for the most choreographically challenged person like me. For this workout you can use a pair of light dumbbells (1 to 3 pounds) and ankle weights are optional. A mat is suggested but you can also work out on a carpet. If you don't have dumbbells you can substitute cans of beans (or spaghetti or what have you), so you needn't make a big investment to get started. The program is filmed indoors, in a large carpeted room with a fireplace. Beverley Callard instructs and leads a class of four other women.
Beverley Callard is a good instructor, and I enjoy her program and approach. I have plenty of at-home workouts to choose from, but many of the others have a significantly higher "dread factor". And that's what it's really all about... finding fitness programs you look forward to doing!
Brilliant.......2007-04-12
I love this DVD, its the first one I bought that I really liked, the exercises are explained well and not too complicated. Its great if you don't have much time as its split into three sections but also great if you want to combine all three for a workout that will leave you feeling a bit sore the following day.
Bev's personality makes the workout more pleasant and often raises the odd giggle from me whilst working out to this one.
I went on to buy the other three after this.
EXCELLENT BEV AT HER BEST.......2006-01-08
The only thing I can say about this is that its very good, its not repetitive at all but gives results you will be proud of. Following this dvd and following a well known diet programme I have shed 4 dress sizes in 6 months. It is very good and has 3 different workouts to follow that last around 30 mins so you don't get bored. If you are fit you can also do all three together. It not only helps you lose weight but some of the exercises are for toning so you will loose inches to.
A good toning dvd.......2005-09-29
I have only had this a few days and I've been doing it twice a day the 1st workout I do in the morning and workout 1 and 2 in the afternoon.I can feel a difference and it makes me feel much better about myself.Maybe in a few weeks I will see the results.
It is great for someone who is a beginner the only thing which I could moan about is you need weights and a workout mat which it doesnt state until you actually do the workout
Quick, Effective work out.......2005-06-30
If like me you are busy, and fitting in exercise is difficult, then this is for you.
The DVD consists of 3 sessions, each 20 minutes long including warm up and cool up. The sessions are varied enough, so you don't get bored too soon.
Most of the moves focus on 'chiselling' and toning up your wobbly bits, but I find that if you use weights, and give it your all, you do get a very good workout, and will build up a sweat in no time.
The only criticism I have, is that the cover doesn't mention the exercise mat and weights, which are essential once you have got used to the routine.

Don't waste your money!.......2007-06-06
Very little information about the food just what you can and can't eat, which most of us know by now. The exercise routines are a bit stilted too - no inspiration.
Fantastic health and fitness plan for real people.......2007-03-19
The plan devised by Dax Moy is the best I have ever followed. I hate gyms, exercise and following diets but this DVD and specifically the plan devised by Dax Moy has really helped me. I have lost 2 stone in as many months and feel so much better for it. I have even bought a further copy as a present for one of my friends.
Dax's instructional approach is profession yet friendly and makes you feel as if you have known him for most of your life rather than other professionals who bring out these types of DVD's where you are made to feel like an idiot.
Seriously, give it try, you won't regret it and it might help to change your life for the better.

A bit of a let down................................2007-01-30
I bought this the other day and watched it all in one go. Michelle and Dax are lovely people who really want you to be successful. It is well presented and not at all patronising. But I felt really let down by the way you are given so much information on what not to eat the small list
that is allowed is just thrown at you with no back up on how to eat cook or prepare it. Michelle says she is such a great cook now I would have
loved to have seen her cook some dishes to get an idea of what to do with veg, oil and meat. Some people like me aren't that creative. The only other disappointment was the exercises, while they are great they are done in 6's you are then told to pause and do more this is just annoying. Maybe I am just used to passing out half way through and learning to keep up. It might be worth mentioning the workout has no cardio. I would still recommend this DVD as someone else mentioned it is very inspirational.
Not as a life plan but a good starting point.
Perfect for New Year Detoxing !! .......2007-01-03
I've just bought this dvd and haven't had time to experience the full affects yet but after watching through the diet section a few times and trying out some of the exercises, it looks like a superb fitness plan - informative, fun and well presented.
Curvy Lady.......2007-01-03
Finally! Here is a DVD for those people who aren't a tiny size 4! As a woman who has struggled with her weight for years (believe me I have tried every diet), seeing Michelle lose what she has and keep it off has really inspired me. The diet seems to be very easy to follow and so are the exercises, this time I'm really determined. I just hope that I'm as successful as she is!
