Hard work!.......2008-01-14
I think this is one of the hardest of the 10 minute solutions range! I think its best to watch the DVD through once before starting to do it so you can give it your all, and when you do you will know about it! Its always encouraging when the instructor is out of breath with you!

I use to do Bodycombat but I moved and no gyms near me seem to do it so I thought buying this would take me back to those good old days!
I love the aggression you can get out of your system in this video. My only criticism would be that I found things were a bit rushed and I found it hard to keep with some of the moves, but maybe that's because I'm not familiar with it.
I didnt feel particularly tired by the end, and I'd done the whole DVD. But again, maybe because I wasnt sure of what was coming next I didnt put all my efforts into it.
I will be going back to it though, as I throughly enjoyed it.

I bought this because I liked the cardiobox section of Davina's 30 minute workouts, and she hasn't been back in the player since! This dvd is great-a top-class instructor and workouts that really work. I'm a moderate exerciser- not amazingly fit - and I found it both at my level and allowing for improvement because of its flexibility.
The dvd has 5 sections of 10 minutes each which you mix and match to whatever time you want to do. I usually do 4/5 (see below)
Basic Training is a good warm up and introduces the kickbox moves slowly so you can get your technique right.
Ultimate Buns and Thighs targets the lower body with kicking and squats and lunges
Arm and Shoulder Sculptor uses weights and punches and some triceps work. Beware using too high a weight on the punches though when you are starting out as your arms can get tired and compromise your technique.
Washboard Abs is a reasonable abdominal workout and my cooldown.
Fat Burning Blast is exactly that and much much harder than the other sections. I'm not up to that yet, it's hardcore.
Keli Roberts does *not* "look like a man" as one listmania reviewer sniped- she looks like a tough, very fit woman and I would kill for her muscles! She's encouraging and her instructions are clear and concise.
My only negative is that there's no structured stretch and cooldown section: each segment has a short stretch at the end but it's quite brief and I spend another 5 minutes or so doing stretches from my pump class to finish
Great all over workout.......2007-03-16
I bought this DVD because I am going off all the 'celebrity' DVDs and just wanted a good workout which would work all my muscle groups, give me a challenge and not be too aerobic that I can't do it at any time of the day. It delivers all of this. There is lots of punching for arms and kicking, squatting and lunging for legs, but they are well broken up so you get a great work out without being too fatigued. Makes a great change and ther are lots of combinations and moves that I haven't seen on other DVDs.

This is a very effective and enjoyable workout, it never fails to make me sweat. You can break up and change the order if you want so it stops it getting boring. Also its not as daunting as doing a full 50 min dvd all at once, but once you get started the sections seem to fly past so you'll want to do more anyway. I think its a good introduction to kickboxing if your interested in taking it up even if your not its just a fun and challenging workout. You need some light handweights and and exercise matt for some of the sections but thats the only extras you need. Id also recommend 10 minute solution pilates as its a great dvd and a strong core workout which is important for kickboxing.

I already have the Step and Step/interval training videos by Keli Roberts so when I saw this advertised, I thought, I would try it out. It is brilliant. I am quite fit but I found the leg workout and the fat blast quite challenging. Collectively, this is a very effective work out but if you are pushed for time, the fat blast will provide an effective cardio workout and the leg workout will elevate your heart rate as well provide focussed toning for those areas. The ab work out was intense and the arm workout will give you shapely arms and shoulders. The basic workout is a good warm up if you are fit but if you are a beginner, you will find it challenging.
All in all, an excellent workout DVD.

i consider myself an experienced exerciser and this one delivers.Keli roberts is one of the best instructors around and every dvd she brings out is a challenge.I found this dvd fun to work out with and also quite a challenge especially the fat burning blast.
Excellent abs, buns and thighs workout.......2006-02-16
This is a fairly difficult dvd to rate. Because two of the five 10 minute sections are for beginners and the other three are for advanced excercisers.
This starts off with a very easy introducion to kick boxing. It is very easy going and I doubt very much if you will get anything out of it if you only use it as a 10 minute workout. But if you are putting the five sections together this is an excellent warm up.
Next is a very challenging lower body workout with weights. I concider myself an advanced excerciser and I nearly gave up on this one. There are some unbelievable kicks here, that will rocket your heart rate up there. Who could imagine a 10 minute work out beeing this hard?
Then it´s on to the upperbody workout. I was dissapointed. It is basically a few tricep kickbacks, bicep crunches and the basic punches with and without weights. Hmm, not very good.
The fat burning blast is really hard. Can you imagine push ups, jumping jacks on the floor and the plank put together at a fast pace? Pheww, a real calorie killer.
The best part of this routine is the final ab secions. It is once again very challenging. Side planks, normal planks with leg lifts in different directions + a few pilates based moves. You will be feeling this one.
The instructor, Keli Roberts, is as always pure bliss to workout with. Her cuing is awesome. Overall this is an excellent abs, buns and thighs workout with at dissapointing upper body workout. Enjoy
Excellent Workout As Always.......2006-02-09
This is another workout by Keli Roberts that is brilliant. I've enjoyed her workouts since the Cher one and she is an excellent instructor. This one consists of 5 10 min workouts. A basic training workout that goes through punches and kicks, which is still very hard but effective. A legs workout involving loads of squats, lunges and kicks. An upper body workout with weights and punches. A 'blast workout' that is extremely hard ( which I haven't been able to do yet, as I've got to build up to). Also an abs workout that incorporates crunches with pilates moves to target the abs and obliques.
The DVD is sort of a mixture of Taebo and Davina Power of 3. Its really good and worth buying.
Highly recommended. Please bring out more DVD's Keli.
