Total Pilates.......2006-05-26
I have used the Lynne Robinson Pilates DVDs and videos for several years and was looking forward to some new exercises to vary the repertoire. I was therefore very disappointed to find that this "new" DVD was in fact a compilation of exercises from previous releases. There is nothing new here! If you are new to Pilates you may enjpoy it, but if you have some of the earlier Body Control Pilates releases, don't bother with this one! LH

Over the years I have purchased many of the Karen Voight Videos and have been really happy with them. I am training to be a Pilates instructor and to me this was a DVD for body conditioning and not Pilates. Hardly any of the moves resembled either basic or advanced Pilates and no mention of the basic positions or the breathing. I would not recommend this DVD as a Pilates DVD, but a good Body Conditioning DVD for people who have done some physical exercise before.

This dvd, along with Voight's other dvd: "Pilates for abs and back" make the "body reform" fitness program.
I have been looking for a fitness class to use at home since I have a new baby and tried some of the best selling dvd's. My experience is that Karen voight's products are really excellent. her instructions are clear and the presentation is perfect. After doing any of her videos (I now have almost all of them at home) I actually feel as though I had a good massage. My body feels longer and my back and abs got so much stronger in a relatively short time.
I recommend this whole heartedly.
