Better than expected.......2008-03-11
The truth is, whenever I've tried yoga in the past, I've never really liked it. I've always wanted to like it, but never did. This is the first yoga class (both DVD and at the gym) that I've liked! It is very relaxed, helps me with my breathing, and makes visualizing what's happenning to my body easy.
I definitely recommend this DVD! I'm in my 18th week, was able to do all the positions in the beginner 30 minute session without difficulty.
BUDDHA BELLIES.......2008-03-06
Inspired by Vanda Scaravelli, Nicole offers a wonderful introduction to Yoga for Pregnancy with three guided sequences. These are of varying lengths and adapted to suit different stages of pregnancy from 14 weeks to full term. Beautifully filmed, Nicole elegantly demonstrates the postures while 6 months pregnant, with clear background instructions. The timing is very good and one really gets the feel of the flow of the asanas guided and facilitated by the all important breath. The DVD aims to empower and help mums to be at all stages of pregnancy, offering a simple to follow guide which can easily and safely be used at home. Excellent. Yoga & Health magazine.
The best yoga for pregnancy dvd i've come across!.......2008-03-04
I disagree with the reviewer who says this dvd is dull. I have liked it specifically because of its simplicity. There is no music, but this is great because there is no chance of getting bored of new age music on a loop and I have been able to do the yoga to either whatever soundtrack i choose or to no music at all so that i can focus on my breathing which i found a useful tool during contractions in my previous two labours. The yoga, as you would expect of pregnancy yoga, is relatively gentle (though i find session 3 a proper workout) but it definately helps. Even though i only manage a session once, maybe twice a week, i can feel my back strengthened and always sleep amazingly well afterwards. This is my 3rd pregnancy and so I have tried other yoga dvd's but think that this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I would really recommend this dvd and have been telling my pregnant friends to buy it.
Quite Dull .......2008-02-12
I found this DVD unfortunatly not engaging. There is no music, the narration tone is more dull than relaxing and it doesn't inspire me to put it on regularly. Disappointing.
Inspiring - a must buy for your pregnancy.......2007-10-25
I have been using this dvd for the last 3 months of my pregnancy but wish I had found it before ... The yoga is simple enough for the beginner, which I was, but because there are three different sessions it never gets boring. It also really helped with my back pain. I cannot recommend this highly enough - I'll be buying it for all my pregnant friends. A truly inspirational dvd.

Excellent from 25-30 weeks onwards.......2006-09-12
I didn't use this DVD much in the early to mid stages of pregnancy as I felt it was so gentle that I wasn't really doing/achieving anything.
From around 28 weeks onwards however my opinion really changed. As I started to get bigger and bigger I was finding that when I got out of bed in the morning I was a bit stiff and my hips ached a bit. The gentle stretches and positions really help to ease this to the extent that I'm going it every morning at the moment (32 weeks) and plan to keep on doing it right up to the birth if I can. By starting from the warmup, skipping past the comments from the people in between excercises and not doing the relaxation at the end, I can do the workout in about 30 mins each morning. The relaxation section is nice to do but I don't have time for it every morning. Am going to buy simple post-natal yoga for afterwards as well. Also check out Pilates in Pregnancy by Lindsay Jackson which I've also found useful.
Defintly worth buying!.......2005-03-08
When I first did this DVD I was a bit dissappointed because only about half the poses used were "real" yoga and I felt it was too gentle. However, I could feel the next day that my muscles had been working and that my posture was better. It is very slowly paced and the poses are very gentle but it works prefectly for the pregnant body - at least it does for mine. In between each section the "students" comment on the exercises in that section: this initially annoyed me, but now I find that few seconds rest between the sections quite welcome. Each section is registered on the DVD as a "scene" so if you only have half an hour you can do the warm up then skip to whichever section you feel like doing, then skip again to the relaxation at the end. To do the whole thing takes an hour and you do not need anything other than a pillow or cushion to do all the exercices.
Yawn.......2004-10-09
I found this DVD sent me to sleep ( through boredom) ! Its definately a pleasant DVD, very slow paced, very easy for pregnancy, but you feel as if you could do more. Great as a relaxation aid but after a few viewings the tutors are irritating, and the comments from women in the classes just grate on your nerves! Good for when you want a very simple yoga routine mostly for relaxing and easing the general aches and pains of pregnancy, not so good if you are easily annoyed by daft presenters and want to do a little more.
A relief.......2004-07-24
As a practiced yoga-nut I found these stretches way too simple when I first tried them, but that was unfair. They are just right for relieving all the horrible aches and pains of pregnancy, and you can do the whole regime once a day very easily.
Couldn't give 5 stars - nothing else to compare it with.......2004-05-06
I've done yoga at home before and had no qualms about doing yoga in pregnancy myself and saw this on video in a catalogue and ordered it. It was nice to be able to exercise and know that I wasn't doing any harm to little Fubbs or myself and the exercises were do-able but still challenging. I started at 24 weeks pregnant and am still plugging away even though the video is starting to snag in the machine so I will be upgrading to the DVD as soon as possible.
However, as it is the only pregnancy exercise routine I have attemped I can't compare it with pilates, etc. or even other yoga in pregnancy routines but it's worked for me so far.

Yoga Journal's Yoga for Your Pregnancy .......2007-08-11
As a regular yoga practitioner, I really enjoyed this DVD. It helped to keep me in good shape during the pregnancy. Very usefully, it teaches you exercises & positions to help you through the various stages of labour and offers variations on some of the exercises to suit all abilities.

very relaxing - if you like being bored into a coma..........2006-01-25
Oh my gosh, words can barely express how incredibly awful this DVD is. It's terribly shot, so don't expect to see what all the positions are because chances are you'll be shown scenic shots of the carpet, or at best someone's knees. The yoga positions are basically sound, but so drawn out and extremely unchallenging that I fail to see how it benefits you any more than a quick nap would. Thank God I only rented it!
Disappointed.......2005-07-25
I'd read both the glowing reviews and the ones warning it was "amateurish"... but given the relatively small selection of pregnancy yoga DVDs available, i thought i'd risk it. Unfortunately, although i am not given to complaining for the sake of it, i have to agree with the more negative reviews - i too found this DVD utterly disappointing and amateurish. Filmed in the teacher's sitting room, i found it verging on the cringy, not to mention the fact that i didn't find the exercises particularly inspiring either. Definitely not at all demanding, maybe a little relaxing... but i have to say i only gave it two go's, and have now given up on it. Bit annoyed i spent good money on it... Going to one real class and remembering a few exercises to do at home is a better bet.
Dreadful.......2005-07-19
so home-made and low-budget it was cringeworthy. cameraman wobbbled ALL the way through and it was very very dull. the worst yoga video i have seen. Sorry Wendy...spend a bit more next time and buy a tripod maybe??
A very disappointing DVD.......2005-06-17
I purchased it because of its good reviews. Whilst the demonstrated positions were gentle and perfect for a beginner, everything about it was far, far too amateurish that I just couldn't bring myself to follow it more than twice.
I would be disappointed if i had bought it...........2005-03-10
but mine was a gift. The DVD was relaxing for Pregnancy....but personally I would only use it as a last resort, if I couldn't get to an Antenatal Yoga class being run at my local gym. I found the camera/filming a little amateur - it was a bit shaky at times and not very professional, they could've done with using a few cameras to make it a smoother picture. A lot of the time when Wendy was talking we couldn't see the full picture ie Wendy giving verbal guidance and physical demonstration being done by pupil.

Kundalini Yoga for a conscious pregnancy.......2007-07-11
As a regular yoga practitioner, I found this yoga very easy, but still enjoyable as it is also incredibly relaxing. As mentioned by the previous reviewer, I found it useful in that it helps you to tackle subjects such as pain and fear management. Kundali Yoga focused a great deal on the psychological side of childbirth, which is why I would recommend using it in conjunction with a more traditional physical/practical pregnancy yoga DVD. For instance I bought 'yoga for your pregnancy' with Kristen Eykel from the US, which has what I would consider more conventional pregnancy yoga exercises which not only help your body through pregnancy & prepare for childbirth, but also taught you more exercises & positions which you can actually use to help during labour.
Kundalini Yoga for a concious pregnancy.......2005-12-15
Watching this DVD and participating in the Yoga has completely changed my perspective on being pregnant and giving birth, making me feel far more calm and relaxed about it. I found the chapter on pain particularly enlightening and look at the pain of labour in a far more positive light. Although the exercises seem a little demanding at first, when carried out they have worked to strengthen my body. A must-have DVD for any pregnant woman to help relax and strengthen both body and mind.

Would not bother with this if you have any yoga experience.......2007-02-02
This DVD is okay. If you have done any yoga at all before you will find it VERY easy. The exercise section is only about 30 minutes long and then there is some fairly patronising advice from a girl with really badly applied fake tan about how to eat properly and go for walks. The breathing bit is good, not sure about the meditation bit as I fell asleep!
Not really what I expected.
Informative, useful and a must- have for every pregnant Lady!.......2006-06-28
I have used Tantric Yoga for Blissful Pregnancy for the last 2 weeks whilst I have been pregnant - it really is superb!! It is very easy to use, with clear simple instructions and an amazing meditation at the end of the practise to relax your mind and body.
I feel so relaxed after I have done the practise and would recommend to any pregnant lady - or even if you aren't pregnant - its great!
