Fantastic Intense Workout .......2008-02-08
I just ordered this DVD last week and received it a few days later (thanks Amazon) and got to try it out later that day. I am fairly fit and used to do boxing quite a lot and have to say Liam and Nells workout is pretty intense and will make you sweat an awful lot.
The workout is solid and the music is absolutely brilliant, very pumping and energetic. I would recommend this to anyone, no matter what your level of fitness. 10/10
Hard work but soooo boring .......2008-02-07
I own a lot of fitness dvds because I do at least one a day as well as other exercise and like to vary it as much as possible. This was one of my most recent purchases and after 2 attempts, I will be selling it on. The only reason I have given it any stars at all, is because if you could pesevere with it, I can imagine you would see results quite quickly. However, the factors that would stop me from being able to continue using this dvd are the instructor (horrible voice, unmotivating) and the sheer monotony of all the moves - its just basically jogging on the spot, whilst moving your arms around to boring music with the odd lunge thrown in - I don't need a dvd to show me how to do that. I honestly don't know how this dvd has got such good reviews....on the plus point the abs section is quite good, but on the whole, if you like to enjoy your workout, then I would not recommend this dvd
OMG It hurts but is worth it!.......2008-02-06
This is an excellent addition to my Nell McAndrew collection. Really challenging, and does exactly what it says on the packet. If you have not got any of Nells other fitness DVDs I would suggest you start with ultimate challenge as it is structured better and has a longer toning section.
I love this as it only takes an hour and the music is great. Really motivates you to do more. I love the chap who takes the class, and this dvd will appeal to men as well as women. Lots of simple, effective movement that fits into a tiny space. I have tried a lot of celeb dvds and this is the closest to a real class. I really like the people who perform the class as well as they have been in almost all the dvds and the oldest is 47.
If you want a challenging, funky fitness DVD that really works then this is the one for you.
good dvd.......2008-01-29
Im a big fan of working out but found that alot of celeb dvds dont work me hard enough. However this dvd definatly got me into a sweat and the next day I was alittle achey as It got me to use muscles I dont always use when ding a gym workout. Its great for when I cant get to the gym and is handy being an hour long.
Same workout as Ultimate Challenge with different music! Don't bother!.......2008-01-27
If you already have Ultimate Challenge, don't waste your money buying this. You could just change the music, change the background and you would be doing the same workout! Even the instructor's commands and mannerisms are exactly the same in the same places! I found the music far worse - in Ultimate Challenge it was really good and motivating, here it is just repetative and boring. It involves the usual running on the spot for cardio, which is hard work, yet really tedious after a while. That is why I got bored with Ultimate Challenge! The only diference with this DVD is it is slightly shorter (1hr) and there are sets of lunges instead of squats. The "core" section involves the same sit-ups ,a quick plank and some back extensions - there is no real " core" work as you might expect in the sense of pilates exercises. Sadly, this DVD seems to have been brought out to make some extra money without revamping the workout. What a disappointment.
Those who have never done Nell's workouts before may enjoy this if you have nothing to compare it to. It is a great workout for fitness, but not if you are looking for something new and different to her last DVD.

Very Disappointing.......2008-02-01
The problem is that Billy clearly doesn't rehearse his workouts, he just makes them up on the spot. Nowhere was this more evident that in this current DVD. The class are frequently thrown into chaos with people going this way and that, and Billy regularly loses count, does more on one side than the other, and generally confuses the hell out of everybody. I would also say the intervals are way too short to raise your heart rate sufficiently. It's a shame because his ideas are good, it's just the execution that's dreadful. The other thing that makes this so bad is that awful irritating woman who is in the background of every one he's ever done - during this one she just keeps screeching "SIR!!!!" at the top of her voice which makes you want to hit her.
I had really hoped Billy would have improved by now as I do like the theory of Tae Bo but sadly I won't be bothering any more.
If you want a good workout buy the "Ten Minute" Series DVD's "Kickbox Bootcamp" and "Carb and Calorie Burner". They are absolutely brilliant and the ones I always return to.
If you're fit don't waste your money.......2008-01-08
I'm fairly fit and bought this on the strength of the reviews. I did the whole work-out and barely broke sweat. The intervals are too short to raise your heart rate in a meaningful way, I ended up jogging in between sections.
It's good as a warm-up for more intense exercise and I went for a run afterwards as I felt that I hadn't had a cardio vascular workout. I'd already ordered the celebrity scupt dvd but will probably send it back without opening it.
yes yes yes!!.......2007-11-16
this is amazing! its all the best moves from the previous videos put together...do it!
Billy delivers once again.......2007-10-30
I have to be honest. I was indecisive about whether to buy this because I have a number of Tae Bo DVDs already and questioned if this would have enough new moves to make it worth my while. Well, I can honestly say that I am not disappointed.
Yes there are some moves which you can find in his previous DVDs but there are enough new ones to keep my interest peaked. The work out lasts about 40 minutes and was intense enough to raise my heart rate and cause me to sweat. As usual, there were plenty of straight jabs, upper cuts etc combined with a variety of kicks so your whole body is put through an energetic, fast paced work out. The music was up to date and complemented the workout well.
As usual, Billy was ebullient, motivating, engaging and continually urged you to push yourself harder. You really feel as if he is your personal trainer.
This DVD would suit someone who would like to increase their overall fitness and flexibility. If you are new to Taebo, there is an instructional section.
All in all, a great work out DVD that delivers what it promises and does not have narcisstic celebrity dullards cluttering up the screen with their annoying, inane chatter.
I did not give five stars because Everybody Get Ripped, for me, is the best Tae Bo DVD, particularly if you really want an intense, hard work out that leaves you exhausted at the end.
Amazon.co.uk Review
In Kate's Cardio Combat, the winner of Big Brother 3 Kate Lawler certainly looks the part; with a tanned and toned body, blonde hair and a natural affinity for cropped tops and trousers. Though obviously intended for women who want Lawler's body, and men who might want a physique to attract women with great bodies, it's unclear as to exactly whom this will really appeal. Lawler might claim this is for men who wouldn't be seen dead in a leotard doing yoga. But will they be seen dead flaunting this title on their shelves?
Trainer and copresenter Rhydian Lewis has created a 50-minute all-round session intended to work heart and lungs, burn body fat, develop strength, and tone the body. The session starts with an energetic warm-up and goes into press-ups ten minutes into the session, moves into lively kicks, then targets abs and thighs, and finally winds up with a cool down. It'll certainly work up a good sweat, but whether it wows or not depends on the extent to which Lawler can occupy the viewer's attention. Despite clearly lapping up the novelty, Lawler is by no means a natural presenter. Trying too hard to impress with lame comments and exaggerated facial expressions, she is too self-absorbed to engage in any playful interaction or flirtation--which is, after all, what she's best known for.
On the DVD: Kate's Cardio Combat on disc comes with an extra ring workout where Lawler finally loosens up and is more natural and playful. As for the so-called interview, this amounts to Ms Lawler articulating a few sentences on allocated subjects. On Big Brother: "one of the most exciting experiences"; on love: "It scares me"; on boxing: "I really love boxing." Anyone who voted for her will wonder why they bothered. --Lorna V

Great cardio, not for beginners.......2008-02-08
This is a great workout and without a doubt will get you in shape in no time. It targets all the major muscle groups and is a good cardio workout. I would not reccommend this for beginners and you will feel the burn very early on in the workout, although you could always slowly build up to the full workout. The music is quite irritating and the guy does miscount on numerous occasions but it's shouldn't affect the workout too much. Some of the floor exercises need to be done with care as they could easily lead to an injury. Also, wouldn't reccomend this to anyone with knee problems - there's a lot of kicking and jumping about.
A favourite!.......2008-01-26
I have this dvd for a couple of years and its still one of my favourites! Its very easy to follow, nothing complicated or confusing about it. The thing i like about this workout is that you can make it as hard or as easy as you feel like e.g you can decide how much effort you put into the punching - which there is a lot of - Also alot of the exercises throughout work your waist and abs which is a plus to me (although to me those military lifts are dangerous to your back!!!)All in all a good buy!
Feel the burn-Ache like anything!.......2007-09-23
Got this vid during the week , Have done it about 3-4 times already and am noticing a difference even in that short space of time! i'm not particularly fit but manage to keep up..just! only criticsm is that Rhydian is very monotonous...a little bit of encouragement goes along way!! instead most of what he says goes..go 1,2,3,4 etc..all in all though i think it's a good buy and i'm definitely going to stick at it
It is a good workout.......2007-06-07
I have just gotten this and am, all in all , happy with this workout.
Easy to follow and it doesn't require lots of space.
I like the way it is divided into different sections, so, you have the option to either do the whole workout (about 50 minutes) or just some sections of it.
For me it could be a bit tougher, though...!
Great for all levels of fitness.......2007-03-11
I bought this a few years ago on a health kick and when I did it I found it exhausting but persevered for a while and have never looked back!
The personal trainer guy Rydian is nice to look at and even though some say it is annoying when he miscounts the moves (which he does do a few times!) it gets you to do more of the exercises without realising it which is always good! Also, when you look at the screen you do get the 'mirror effect', but the trainer always says clearly which leg or arm you lead with so it's not confusing if you follow what he says. Infact this dvd is so easy to follow.
The exercises are really good for improving tone and great for losing weight and I found I lost loads when I used this dvd and toned up everywhere especially my waist and stomach. I go back to this dvd whenever I feel I've put some weight on or want to tone up and it works every time!
This dvd is great because it works you hard but you find that you don't mind doing it and it feels less like exercise the more you do it. Would definitely recommend this workout dvd.

Goddess Workout:Cardio Burlesque Review.......2008-02-13
This is a delightful low budget workout. Its simple and fun. cardio workout good focus on tummy muscles hips and thighs.
Dolphina is very warm and friendly, she is laid back and sexy, she also encouages you to be sexy and just enjoy yourself.
It takes you through grinds, bumps, struts etc then you build up to a routine at the end. Before the cool down dolphina does a performance im not sure if this performance is for you to learn, inspiration or somthing for your hubby to watch till you loose weight lol, but im pretty certain your ment to learn it.
It would be great if it lasted a bit longer with more routines in it. you can choose chapters on the dvd so you can practice before you do the routine, Its a light hearted fun workout, great for all sizes and shapes.
