As a beginner, I found the instructions clear and you have time to follow them.
The atmosphere of the dvd inspired me to try yoga in the open air because it looked so wonderful, and it does make yoga a totally different experience.
A dvd is also useful because you can dip about easily to the bits you want to focus on.
Although there are some difficult positions to build up to (one day) there are many basic ones to try.

Being fairly new to yoga, I found this video to be excellent! The poses are challenging without being too difficult, the instructure's voice is soothing and relaxing.

As a person who has practised Yoga over the last 18 months from classes and DVD's, I found that this DVD stuck to the original principles of Yoga. It went at a slow but steady pace through the postures, describing these in detail with breathing instructions, so that they could easily be followed without having to try to watch the screen all the time. In between postures there were explanations as to the benefits of each movement, but this did not interfere with the practice. Relaxation was also included, this is missed out of many DVD's on yoga these days and is an important part of the practice. I would recommend this as an excellent Yoga class for all levels.
