Pacha dance workout- WOW!.......2007-11-18
Excellent workout, wouldn't even know your working out as you just have so much fun dancing and trying the moves.
Some of the dancers get the moves wrong or have stuggle to change to what she is doing, this only makes you feel more relax and at ease with doing this routine and even proffessional can get it wrong.
her instruction are clear and you have the option of having a teachers assit throughout the dvd if you like.
loved the complete routine tring abit ov salsa, romber and really fun the way she personalise it with driving my car section and even the yoga section for chill out as an extra
purchased more for my daughter and her friends
this woman is meant to be a pro???.......2007-03-27
The actual workout is pretty good... but it mainly just annoyed me.
The woman leading the routines and everything just didnt have a clue...half the time she was totally out of time with the music, she would say things like "roll down" whe really she meant raise your arms..
As a trained dancer i find it very hard to dance out of time with music, yet the majority of these routines were not in time what so ever.
There are much better dance workouts out there, i woud not recommend this one!!!
GREAT WORKOUT ! !.......2007-03-04
I really do love this workout. It is really fun to do and it makes you sweat a lot! I do agree that it can be difficult to follow the first time but once you get into it two or three times the easier it gets and you can put more energy into it burning even more calories. The moves aren't very complicated and you don't need to be a dancer to get the hang of them ! My favourite is the samba section which is really intense with a lot of hip and bum wrigling ! The music however isn't that great and it does get a bit boring. The extra features of the DVD are cheesy and you don't have to watch these as you are interested in the workout only. I have to admit that I also loved the yoga section which is about 15 mins and you have the view of an Ibiza beach which makes it very relaxing. The moves are very staightforward and you don't need to be very flexible and fit to do them unlike most other exercise DVDs. In general I find this workout much easier than the Ministry of Sound Pump it up series which I find very hard although the music soundtrack is much much better on the MOS dvds.
Don't bother with this one.......2006-09-06
I bought this thinking it would be fun but it's really difficult to follow, the music's dull as ditchwater and not really good exercise - you'd be better of switching it off, putting some good music on the stereo and dancing round the living room!
Great if your a dancer already, not great if your not!.......2006-01-15
I personally, really like this DVD. I found it fun and the teacher didnt really come across as intimidating in anyway, as she came across as laid back and fun. But to be honest, I have experience in dancing and the moves that were shown on the DVD I have done previously in dance classes. However, if you are new to dancing and have never taken a class in you life, your going to find this a bit of an impossible challenge! Especially in the rumba workout. Rumba is a dance that takes a lot of practice to be able to perform correctly, and involves ball changes, which the dancers on the DVD were performing, when I first started dancing it took me quite a while to master the ball change, and you have to know the ball change for you can master the dance steps! Also, a lot of the moves on the DVD are more catered to someone with a flexible back, so if you suffer from back problems I wouldnt recommend doing quite a few of the moves on this DVD, you could end up with worse pain than when you started!
So all in all, a great DVD if you can dance well already, but best opt for something different if your completely new to dancing. I wasnt to keen on the bonus feature of the diet tips, if you were to perform this strenual activity 3 times a week like the teacher recommends a SALAD for your evening meal is not going to provide you with enough nutrition and vital vitamins to keep you body healthy and give you energy. You need a good source of protein and carbohydrate at every meal sitting to keep your body and mind working well, not a good example to the younger generation when it comes to diet! The exercises Im sure are great at toning you up, but you'll end up being ill if you carry on eating like that for 6 months! The dancers are lovely and slim but they are not creating a realistic picture to their audience!
