Don't buy this.......2006-03-28

Mr Lang's technique is very impressive, but there is something lacking. This is the kind of DVD that would appeal to drummers who are just into technique, speed and stamina (like in an athletic event) and probably don't appreciate musicality. Lang's solos consist mainly of his exercises and in truth this is very boring after 2 minutes. I have to say though, that on the plus side I found the double bass drum technique very good. If you do buy this DVD, see if (like me) you think Mr Lang's timekeeping is also slightly "off". After all, no matter how amazing ones chops or technique, one should be able to play with feel and play in time. One more thing, he thinks he's funny. Check out the "just see how bored I am whilst I hammer out this 32nd triplet bass drum lick". He even yawns at one point - oh please! Take advice from someone who knows and go buy something featuring Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers or Steve Gadd, these guys are far more inspiring and totally awesome.

THe best instructional dvd around this dvd has the best grooves and skills to boost your playing skill and power. THis dvd contains- singles, doubles, multiple pedal orchestration and stick tricks plus more. Also it has some songs to play along to and u can download off the dvd the music for the exercises. A must buy for any drummer from a beginner to semi pro. Excellent!

Mind Blowing!.......2005-06-04

I saw a sample of this DVD on a Hudson DVD sampler i got free with rhythm, and it was by far the best clip on the sampler, i was amazed and lost for words.
I was absolutely blown away by the speed he plays with and how he keeps power and control while he does this, he just seems to have so much power over his kit. Absolutely out of this world and a must for anybody who has ever seen a drum kit before and takes a remote interest, you will be blown away!

...how talented this bloke is. I saw him in clinic a few weeks back and hes somehow improved! Its mind boggling some of the things he does! A bit boring in some places because he does tend to go on a bit but other than that, a MUST (MUST MUST MUST) buy fora drummer!

Well, well, well...Mr Lang certainly doesn't fail to leave you in awe! His sheer talent is beyond words and his creation and imagination is outstanding. Only thing is, it CAN get a tad boring and repetative. BUT, it is by far THE most influential drum DVD ive seen! If you want to learn and progress, get this DVD, if you want to simply watch one of the future legends, get this DVD, if you are remotely interested in drums - GET THIS DVD!!!
