Sharpe Collection.......2008-02-29
The Sharpe Collection of DVDs is awesome and an excellent buy on Amazon. It conjures up the life and times of officers and soldiers during the Napoleonic wars. I love how life in the military as not really changed. Fantastic series ive watched it over and over again and never get tired of it. Recommend it to anyone.
Buy it.......2008-02-10
Gritty and extremely well executed period drama. Nothing else to say except its superb so buy it.
Repeatable watching.......2008-01-22
I echo the above comments and have rewatched the series once a year. It is as fresh each time having the same director which allows continuity of pace and direction. A must for fans of historical television series.
Unfortunately over the last two years I have found some discs have become jerky and splintered even though only played once a year. This deterioration has happened with several of my other older discs which begs the question - how long will dvds really last.
I had a similar experience with my Farscape set and had to purchase a fresh set from Canada which used different dual layer discs. If you havent watched your set recently it may be worth checking the discs.
Wrong description.......2008-01-09
This is an excellent series and there is nothing I could say that has not already been said.
I would just like to point out that the image Amazon posted of this edition is wrong. The collection I received does not include the "Exclusive Chronicles Booklet" and the "19th Century Battle Map". Only the Bonus Disc "Sharpe The Legend". And it is not the case of a faulty edition, because the text has been removed from the cardboard box, and now only says it contains the bonus disc. Those items have been removed by the editor and Amazon has an old picture.
A bit disappointing, because I was quite interested in the map also.
King George commands buy this boxset and we obey!!!.......2007-12-11
Off to the shops we go and far away! This comprehensive box set contains all of the sharpe tv series (bar the most recent Sharpes challenge) and what better box set could you ask for, With Sean Bean commanding his chosen men over 14 epsiodes of tense historical action, complete with steaming gypsies. While Sean Bean commands the series as its lead mention must be made to the supporting cast with David Troughtons early Wellington being a particular standout along with Harper, Harris and Hagman played by John Tam, who composed the soundtrack which evokes the period brilliantly and a worthwile pick-up for any shapeophile.
Also look out for a great number of british talent in the episodes, from Brian Cox to liz Hurley and the awesome pete postlethwaite as the malevolent Sgt Hawkswill.
Now duty calls us we must go, to watch another episode!!!

15 Minute Workouts for Dummies.......2008-01-18
I stopped smoking 2 years ago and have since piled on 2.5 stones. I decided late last year (2007) that something had to be done. I have trawled through all the exercise DVD and decided on giving this one ago. I am not disappointed, although a little sore. It gives a good all over work out, broken into sections for the different areas of your body and you can do as much or as little as you want, give it ago I'm glad I did.
Excellent Value for Money and Gets the Results .......2007-02-03
15 Minute Workouts For Dummies is excellent especially for people who have busy days and have very little time to work out. There are four sections focusing on major bottom parts. The four sections are as follows:-
1. Legs
2. Bums
3. Upper Body
4. Abs
Each section has a quick warm up followed by different exercises focusing on the key area and then a quick stretch/cool down.
What can i say fantastic - the Abs section is surprisingly a killer, but you will see the results if you combine it with regular cardio.

hardcore - not.......2008-02-15
If you are looking for proper porn do not buy this - my husband and i were so disappointed. You see more action in most adult mainstream films. If you actually want to see body parts apart from boobs and if you want to watch people who aren't putting on 'sexy' faces, buy something else - probably not from amazon.
Disappointing.......2008-02-13
I also ignored the reviews that said this was not hardcore but to my disappointment they were right. There was no hardcore action and it was most likely that the sex was not real as everything was hidden by objects being in the way. A big disappointment for me and my boyfriend coming upto Valentines Day - I do not recommend this.
Good for the price.......2008-02-05
Pretty much as good as you can buy on Amazon as far as porn goes. Value for money, i do not think it can be beaten. Couple of very good films with a few famous people in there as well
Listen to the warnings.......2008-01-18
I was reading the reviews on how good it was, and totally ignored the reviews saying it was nothing more then softcore porn - well they were right... a little disappointed to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't recomend to anyone looking for graphic porn, or students, alike.
I've now returned this product, since it was really not what I was looking for, but if you're into the more subtle, 'not so graphic' porn, maybe you'd appreciate this.
Box Sets Rule.......2008-01-16
Loads of great porn in a great set at a brilliant price!
Why would you but single films for £15.99 when you can buy 15 for under that price
Very erotic and varied titles in this set, couple of films(anal themed) are bad but what can you expect for the price

On the ledge.......2007-10-10
I warmly recommend 15 Storeys High.
One thing, admittedly, irritates me about it: it is all filmed with wide angle in wide shots, and with only available light, mostly in small apartments. Which means that 90% of the time you only have the foggiest notion of what the characters actually look like. I'm not kidding.
But on the other hand it's brilliantly written and acted. It's actually unlike any other comedy I've seen. And very funny indeed, I often laughed out loud, very loud.
Nothing short of Brilliant.......2007-08-23
I absolutely love 15 Storeys High and was one of the many people who wrote in to the BBC demanding the release of series 2 on DVD.
As opposed to Catherine Tate 'in your face' style comedy, this is a gentle but hilarious work which you'll want to watch again and again.
Scenes from the first series still make me laugh now on a daily basis.
I'd agree that if you like The Mighty Boosh, The Office, QI and such like then you will love this.
I'd also agree that both series are as good as, if not funnier than, The Office, and are similar in their subtle understated style.
These series were enough to convince me that Sean Lock is the funniest man on television today and I'm yet to be convinced otherwise.
If it's your sort of show you'll love it!.......2007-07-14
I own the first series of Fifteen Storeys High on DVD and have seen all of series 2, it is one of my favourite comedies and I am greatly dismayed by the BBC (allegedly) not allowing Sean Lock to make a third series (or another different show for that matter), for he is a great talent and I can't imagine why he doesn't have a larger TV/Radio presence on the BBC.
I can understand if some people may not enjoy this show, but they can not deny the quality of the writing and the unique, quite dark feel that Sean Lock has produced.
This show is the complete antithesis of the Little Britain/Catherine Tate-style of comedy that relies on repetition. These shows leave you knowing what is coming up and boring you, unless the writers actually develop the characters or have enough characters, which helps keep them fresher for longer(the Fast Show).
I personally rate this show 5 out of 5, but it is really a cult masterpiece that some will love, some will not get and others will hate and if you have an "alternative" sense of humour like me and don't like Little Britain, Catherine Tate or Two Pints of Lager you will probably like this, a show which has it's own identity, an individual quality and some great laughs from one of Britain's premiere stand-ups.
To give you an idea of what comedies I like, so you can see how likely it is you will enjoy Fifteen Storeys High, my favourite shows are the Mighty Boosh, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Alan Partridge, the Office and QI: Quite Interesting and anything involving Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel and the late, great Lind Smith R.I.P.
why not more of Sean Lock?.......2007-07-09
This is some of the best comedy I have seen in years, much better that say "little britain". Some of the jokes had me laughing for days afterwards.
Maybe I've Been Away Too Long.......2007-06-25
I moved to the US in late 2001 and so don't get to watch UK telly any more. Hence I rely on Amazon and the reviews of my fellow Brits to keep me up to date on what's worth watching and adding to my UK DVD collection.
I'd never heard of 15 Storeys High before, nor Sean Lock come to that. My guess is he's risen to some prominence in the UK since I left and got to write his own sitcom. Hmmm. Most of the other reviews rave about this show. Some rate it up there with The Office (our version, not the tragically awful American re-make) and even Seinfeld, perhaps the best sitcom of all time. The inclusion of Mark Lamar to the writing team was also a good source of hope and expectation that I'd be splitting my sides once my package arrived in Texas.
I think I laughed twice during series 1 and once during series 2. The basic premise of two blokes sharing a flat in a high rise isn't funny to begin with. Hopefully what these two do away from the flat might generate some amusement. Erm...nope! Vince's job at a local swimming pool was promising, but his people hating personality doing a job which is essentially people focused wasn't really exploited. The other guy, Errol, doesn't really do anything of note away from the flat. His character is almost completely one dimensional and completely uninteresting. Benedict Wong, who played Errol, is either a brilliant actor to have made his character so utterly lifeless or he has the acting ability of a cardboard cut out. You choose. The brief cameos of life and incidents in the other flats around Vince's far from making you laugh, leave you with a sense of bewilderment and confusion. I thought the majority of them were banal and utterly pointless.
If I'd been fortunate enough to have previewed this on TV before buying it, I would not have made it past the first episode and would have ultimately saved my cash for something else. It is no where near as clever, well crafted or as funny as The Office. As for comparisons to Seinfeld, that's the biggest laugh you'll get watching this.
Consigned to the bottom shelf of non-repeat viewings along with Black Books series 1. Maybe I've been away too long or maybe I got out just in time.

iknowthat!!!!!!!.......2008-01-15
The above review title being a line from one of the most scariest things i have ever seen on tv ,and if fellow thriller fans are reading they will know to what the line refers to (episode title "i,m the girl he wants to kill " for those who don,t know)-this particular episode is only one of many and would be an ideal place to start for guaranteed shocks, but having owned this set for over 2 years i am thinking that each episode stands on its own merit, and you have good plots, mystery ,red herrings and guessing who did it as well as scary moments. Also its a period piece for how 70,s tv drama was made and you have the wonderful studio lighting which only served to add to creepy atmosphere("the colour of blood" shows this to brilliant effect).i wonder however if it holds up to younger viewers today and would be interested in that feedback-however there are enough of us over 35s who still enjoy this (it even has its own website and guest book which never fails to amaze me the love and the trivia that fans show for this 70,s gem)- to sum up i agree with a lot of the posts that say it takes you back to childhood tv shocks whilst watching with the lights down in what will always be tv,s golden age
True TV Classic.......2007-09-18
These are genuinely scary tales, its a cliche but they do not make stuff like this no more. If like me you were a small boy in the 70s then you were denied the pleasure of viewing this sort of thing. The old programs have been very well restored and its great to see the stalwart actors of that era get their teeth into great stories and parts. Brian Clemens was a very good writer and not only did he come up with the plots for all these shows he is the creator of The Avengers and The Professionals how can one bloke be so talented.
Quirky, Addictive and Sometimes Disturbing.......2007-09-13
When I was 11 years old, I used to watch these with my 9 year-old sister, after our parents had gone out for a late night cards session. We baby-sat ourselves in those days (1973-4), but with this on ATV every time they went to play, we were getting "thrilled" without the need for burglars and muggers.
My personal favourite has to be "A Place to Die" which starts so wonderfully (newly-weds moving into their new countryside home), and is so plausible in those days of limited communication, I am still hobbling today! Most of these episodes are beautifully-paced, and demonstrate an artform long forgotten by today's TV script writers.
They'll never make TV like this again - it makes people "feel" too much.
Thriller of another time..........2007-09-02
One of the best DVD Box Set 'value-for-money' releases and well worth it!
A cult show in itself, "Thriller" was very popular Saturday night viewing when first aired in the mid-70's and was a staple of ITV's weekend viewing along with the likes of "World of Sport" and "The Wheeltappers & Shunter's Social Club".
The remastering of the series is excellent and it's great to know that a series of this calibre has been preserved by digital technology. This is beautifully shot VT drama with filmed location footage to boot. It also boasts a popular cast list from both sides of the Atlantic in every episode of these tales of macabre goings-on in frequently rural settings.
Brian Clemens knew exactly how to put the wind up your viewing pleasure on a Saturday night with a lot of these original stories that spanned almost seventy minutes. The unique studio camera angles and filmed sequences along with the classic opening titles and eerie theme tune (by Laurie Johnson), added a wonderful presence to each episode. A bonus feature to this set includes the US opening and closing titles at the end of each episode, which you will no doubt find quite amusing. These titles were created especially for the American TV-Movie Market.
You won't be disappointed in adding this lavish 16-Disc box set to your collection, and you'll be pretty well-pleased with the extras too!
thriller anthology series 15 discs.......2007-08-18
well...what can i say about this, nothing short of gripping ,addictive, must have `classic tv`.at a time when tv was at its absolute best, this 15 disc set is `fantastic value for money, having seen it on othere sites for a lot more money, you really do get your moneys worth here.all 6 series `remastered`in fantastic quality, and some classic performances ,and may i say considering these shows were made some 35 years ago, still send `shivers ` down your spine. dont take my word for it...buy it!! you will not be disapointed.

I love this set.......2008-01-16
Why would you but single films for £15.99 when you can buy 15 for under that price, not as good as the other set I bought from Amazon but not by much
Very erotic and varied titles in this set with some very famous stars
Good set for the price
Sexy Not!.......2007-11-28
Belived the other reviews when I ordered, but this is false, staged extremely carefully acted out soft porn. We ended up laughing at the actors and clever photography with no actual sex taking place.
Avoid this one if you are expecting some real porn.
Happiness in a box.......2007-11-14
This set is great it is happiness in a box, loads of top notch porn.
A must for anyone who likes porn
Top set of porn.......2007-10-02
Bought this pissed one night and am glad I did
loads of good shagging at a cheap price, it will take a while to watch them all.
Good hard raw sex films in a neat little case. Brilliant
Not Hard Core Very Misleading.......2007-09-21
We were very disappointed by this set of films. There were not hard core at all. You can see more on TV. We found this very boring and slow. The action is obviously faked.

Don't waste your well-earned money on this set. As soon as you play the first DVD, you'll understand why it's so cheap. The picture quality is shocking, to say the least! I suppose in the end you get what you pay for. How true!
Amazon.co.uk Review
Fifteen Minutes partners Robert De Niro and Saving Private Ryan's Edward Burns in a thriller satire on America's "reality TV" industry. De Niro plays celebrity detective Eddie Fleming, who must reluctantly work with arson investigator Jordy Warsaw (Burns) when a grisly fire is discovered to conceal a murder. This is the work of Emil (Karel Roden) and Oleg (Oleg Taktarov), East European psychos bent on a maniacal spree of killings. All of these are videotaped by Emil, who renames himself after his hero Frank Capra, in a perverse tribute to the US of A, where "no one is responsible for what they do!". Soon the duo decide to sell their footage to Kelsey Grammer's creepily shameless frontline TV journalist. As a pair of loons whose scariness is just the right side of cardboard villainy, Roden and Taktarov steal the movie as well as their camcorder. However, the central theme of voyeurism and video murder was dealt with far more effectively in the 1992 Belgian movie Man Bites Dog and, while the action tears along in explosive fashion, it does so at the expense of both plausibility and the anti-media satire, which seems hitched crudely onto the bumper of what is essentially a satisfying but conventional blockbuster thriller. --David Stubbs

15 Minutes.......2006-06-25
Robert DeNiro and Edward Burns star in this dreary and unfocused cop thriller that never excites or involves the audience in any way. The unconvincing plot sees the duo on the trail of two Europeans who videotape their murderous crime spree and then broadcast it on live TV. It might have been good on paper but on screen, its lack of interest, the brutal violence and numerous cameos just makes it another humdrum flick. The only good thing about this film is DeNiro's and Burns' terrific performances that manage to work with the typical script.
Good, But not Fantastic.......2003-04-16
It was an intresting film, but was rather disappointing and sometimes lacked some excitement and suspence. I thought that the storyline good, thought it was not put to its full potential. It is very suprisiong and nothing like I expected...
Unfocussed........2003-03-19
I bought 15 minutes expecting a taut well made thriller. I was disappointed.
This film has too much going and it looses it's focus. It's about arson, American society, media and police officers bonding. It's about too many things. If the film held it's focus this could of been the best cop thriller since Seven.
It is enjoyable but the film could have been a blow-your-socks-of fantastic.
Way too unsubtle one-message film.......2001-10-10
The 15 minutes of the title are about as long as the film will keep you interested. Robert de Niro is always good but the portrayal of crazed Eastern Europeans is unlikely to win this movie any fans in the Czech Republic. Ultimately the character development is sacrificed to get the message of the movie across - how the media is manipulated by evil serial killers who escape justice by pretending to be insane - which is a pity and rather insulting to the intelligence of the viewer.
A cracking film, well worth watching!.......2001-09-24
This was one of the few films of this year which had everything an action packed thriller should have - Non stop action! In this totally original film De Niro plays a cop who goes on chat show and is involved in a kind of 'Cops' TV program, when two foreigners find a hole in the justice system and find a way to literally get away with murder and film all of their viscious acts with a comcorder, De Niro must catch them and end their sick adventure. With action lerking round every corner this film is a must see for any action junkie!

the description is misleading as they only mention a few titles out of each pack obviously omitting the duplicated ones. so what you think is a bargain is not
