SAW films.......2008-01-24
to set the record strate here for anyone intelligent these films are NOT repeat NOT horror. they arent a gore fest or a bloodbath or any of the other stupid things they've been branded with. The geneous of the saw films is in the dramatic twists and phycological tension. Based purely on what you see these films are not horror, they play with your mind in brilliant ways, thus making them brilliant films, but they fall into the genre of phycological thrillers not horror films.

saw trilogy.......2007-10-29
Brilliant! gory and mind bending all at once a great series of films roll on saw 4
GREAT TRILOGY.......2007-09-24
Not films for the squeamish but very clever storyline in all three films.
A sadistic killer sets 'victims' a series of tortuous tasks to gain their freedom from a prepared environment. Choices that involve self inflicted pain, or pain to others stuck in these traps to get free. Suffice to say, nobody ever breaks free but these have you on the edge of your seat throughout.
GORE FEST.......2007-08-24
this is just one big gore fest with a fantastic story line....pure sick (in a good way)

Superb virtuoso ballet, quintessentially English.......2007-06-11
I've read somewhere on the web that this ballet has been described as sort of a celebration of Englishness, and even as a yank, I can't help feeling the same when I watch it. And I never tire of watching it. The dancing is not only precise and virtuosic, but there is superb mime acting and characterization in this production, and by the end of the performance you can't help feeling that you know, and like, these people. A lot of the characterization and flavor of the piece comes from the choreography and staging, like for instance in the park scene, how the grave dignity of the Salvation Army people are conveyed by their movements and attitudes. I waited YEARS for this thing to be issued on DVD, and it is precisely for this sort of release, which has only been issued in a PAL region, that I got a player that plays both PAL and NTSC formats. If you can play it, do get it, you won't be disappointed. It should never be out of print.
