Absolutely Awful!!!!.......2008-03-06
This film qualifies as the WORST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN and believe me I have seen some stinkers in the past.
The most memorable scene is four people hiding behind a very small bush from a 20ft crocodile.
The special effects are so appalling they look like I've done them on my very old laptop. As for the "actors" I can only guess that they won their parts in the film in a raffle.
Only rent this film for comedy purposes.

Well first of all, we loved the first movie! Thought it was a great mix of comedy ridiculousness and drama. This film however, was such a disappointment! They basically copy the first film's story line, but with terrible actors. The film mostly aims to keep your attention by showcasing topless girls being devoured by a giant crocodile that is nowhere near as believable as the first one. Didn't even bother to finish watching it. In a word............plastic. Plastic boobs, plastic actors, plastic croc!

This is the worst film I have ever seen! Bad special effects, bad plot, bad acting, BAD FILM!
Lake Placid was mildly entertaining, the sequel is awful. Please don't waste your money renting this, or waste your life watching it!!
VERY PLASTIC A BIT LIKE MY FLIP FLOP!!!.......2008-02-14
Well this has to go down as the No 1 worse film I have ever watched this is terrible and I mean terrible. The script,acting and more so the so called special effects were shocking you have got to watch this to see for your own eyes. The croc's looked so plastic Im sure if they were under the studio lighting any longer than they needed to be they would melt. Compared to the first Lake Placid which I will say was a pretty good film this if I am honest really does not deserve a review it is just a straight to DVD film that people will buy because of the title and they will more than likely make a few quid from it.

Firstly it may say 1 star but it wouldn't let me put NO stars.
I'm a fan of the first film, with it's great sarcastic one liners, above par special effects and pretty good (if rather short) story.
Lake Placid 2 however has none of the above to recommend it. The special effects are the cheapest and worst I have ever seen (worse than late night Sci-Fi channel); there so bad that they vanish before your eyes; a boat-plane for example, first you see it then you don't and the creatures keep vanishing too!! The script is abysmal, so there's no story and the acting (worst Scottish accent ever) is truly awful, even though some do give it their all in a couple scenes as they didn't know how stupid they'd look until the effects were done post-production. Please do not waste you hard earned money on this pile of tripe, if you must watch it wait for the Sci-Fi channel to show it in a couple months.
