See No Redeeming Features.......2008-01-22
A charmless big-screen slasher which pits a gaggle of delinquent teens fixing up an old hotel against your common-or-garden hulking psychopath, played by pro-wrestler Kane, who has a penchant for ripping out the eyes of his victims.
Things start off well with a good prologue and quickly go down hill when we're introduced to the group of obnoxious teenagers, none of whom have any redeeming qualities and so serve their singular purpose of meat quite well to the rest of the flick, but this also presents a problem when the audience is asked to root for anybody to survive the carnage: they're all so objectionable that we end up cheering on the killer.
'See No Evil' is nicely produced, well edited and slick, but all these factors cannot distract from the glumness of the film as a whole, which is pretty much a hollow experience from start to finish, with some misfired humour chucked into the mix and transparently CGI bloodletting. There are marked similarities to the same year's 'Dark Ride' (although the latter was only released in 2008 and is slightly more enjoyable) but it would be nice to see somebody put a little more effort into the scares rather than resorting to throwing more cliches of blood, pointless nudity and minimalistic 'stop screwing around' dialogue into a teen-kill picture.

for sick retards only..........2007-09-02
A waste of 81 minutes viewing, but started very well for the first ten minutes. This is the sort of film that perhaps a teenage audience would enjoy and think is great, and more than likely, they are the ones who have have left good reviews. I do not class this as horror as an adult horror fan, just more sick killing by a sicko, for a sicko audience. From a point of view of the plot, it is as if the film started off well, as if a big budget idea, then drifted off to borrow other ideas from similar films on shoestring budgets, such as,(without spoiling); a group of delinquents, taken out for a work experience event, find themselves in a situation where they realise a nutter is on the loose and they have nowhere to run to.... Yawn!
Possible spoiler;I think the main "good" character got bored and wanted writing out halfway through from my point of view! I can only hope this is not the first of a series of "see no evil" films.
AMAZING STORY!!!.......2007-09-02
A group of juvenile delinquents arrive at a roach-infested ruin of a hotel, where they have agreed to work in exchange for lighter sentences. They are led by a cop who lost his hand four years ago in a struggle with a brutal serial killer whom he killed with a bullet to the head--or so he thought. Now, the very same hulking monster haunts the halls of the dilapidated hotel, and with no further ado begins picking off the teenagers one by one.
The story is fantastic and the deaths, it puts you off dogs
and the fab ending, Kane was fantastic
a must see!
Hackneyed rubbish.......2007-08-18
Pretty much just a load of fight scenes used to pad out an extremely weak plot-line.
There are a couple of semi-novel twists with a nice nudie shower scene, but this is largely the same tired old pap that the majority of people considered old enough to view this film will have seen countless times before.
Similar films that offer far better viewing include (Texas Chainsaw Masacre (1974), Silent Hill, Saw, Suspiria).
