excellent little camera.......2007-06-09

I thought I'd write a review to help anyone who may be thinking about buying this camera. I own the gold version of the casio z1050. It's smaller than I anticipated (a good thing!) which means it can fit into little handbags/pockets etc easily. Although it's not the smallest casio on the market (ie the casio s770) it is still very small and can fit into the average person's palm quite easily and is not very thick. The camera screen is also massive and dominates the back of the camera. I'm very happy with my choice as I was stuck between the casio s770 and this one (I don't think I would of liked one any smaller because it would just be a bit too flimsy).

The picture quality is excellent and clear. I'm not the most technical person and found the camera easy to operate. Great slideshow options, and over 30 best shot modes that are useful.

My only downside is that the battery has to be removed to be charged, which may mean that you lose any settings you have made (but I'm not entirely sure because I haven't had to recharge yet!). The battery has lasted ages so far (I've been using it every day for a week and it has not gone down at all - still full).

There are lots of other features that I won't bore you with! If you want to know more just ask!

I've never given a review before so it might not be very useful. I'm just an average photo taker and no professional! I just wanted to give a review because I'm happy with it and not many people have reviewed it!

Excellent Budget Camera.......2007-09-09

I bought this camera to capture moments on my holiday in Spain. Being the gadget freak that I am, I wanted the most megapixels but for a low price.

I was expecting to shell out at least £250 for a camera of this quality, so when I saw this priced at just under £130, I had to get one straight away. I preferred the black model but unfortunately Amazon didn't have any in stock at the time, so instead I chose the Gold edition.

I paid a couple of pounds extra for Express Delivery and had it in my hands in less than 15 hours! - Excellent service there!

The picture quality on this camera is amazing considering the price you pay. With previous digital camera's I have owned, I found that once I had run out of optical zoom and the digital zoom kicked in - the image quality was rubbish. So I was amazed when I was sat on my hotel room balcony and managed to clearly zoom in onto a hotel sign which was far enough that I couldnt actually see it with my own eyes (and I have 20/20 vision!). I could also zoom in onto faces of people who looked like little dots with my own eyes.

The camera has a lot of useful features such as BestShot and Red Eye Reduction. The large widescreen on the back provides easy viewing of your photos with crisp, clear detail.

For the amateur who just wants to point and shoot - this is for you!
