This camera will not have you dissapointed, it has many features, is easy to use and re chargable battery means that it wont ave you running to the shop for new ones every time you use it. Purely gadgets service was brilliant, I recieve next day delivery although i did not ask for it, I hope I wasn't charged for that, apart from that they were brilliant.

Ace camera - I can't fault it!.......2007-07-15

This is my second Olympus camera, and I think it is a reliable make. This camera is simple to use, produces great pictures, offers you various sizes for printing pictures i.e. you can get 4 seperate pictures on a single 6x4 glossy paper sheet, and what I really love (yet didn't expect), was the fact that you can also use it as a cam-corder for up to 43 minutes. Before I got this camera I did have another Olympus, but I needed a new one. I made the mistake of trying another make, so I bought the Kodak V1003 for circa tha same price, but it was terrible, so I exchanged it after 4 days for my Olympus U 760 - I love it!

Bought this camera, as recommended by a friend - it's brilliant. Perfect size to carry around, so many features that I would never normally use on a camera, but it's so easy to use!!! Can't recommend highly enough!

The camera is the perfect size and weight, I would recommend it to anyone. I paid £135.00 so if your getting it around that price i think its a bargin. Its easy to use, nice to look at and the screens nice and bright. I also purchased a 1GB Olympus (type m) XD memory card to go with it, so if your ordering this i sugest you have a look at it i get around 600 pictures on the settings the camera came with. Make sure you get the type M as type H doesnt work with this camera.

bought this camera last year, had fuji and pentax cameras before but they do not compare to this.daytime,nightime photo's are spot on and the video is excellent with sound. ease of use is really good, no problem finding your way through the menu and other specs with this camera cos it is simply the best.

Exactly what I expected, nothing more and certainly nothing less........2007-09-17

I recently won this camera in a photo competition run by The Telegraph, and after a few days of it just being sat in it's box I decided to have a go with it (I'm used to using DSLR instead of compact.) First impressions were great, it has a very fast startup time considering that it has to extend the lens and the photos that it takes are excellently exposed, accurately white balanced and sharp enough for prints up to about A3 size.

It has a whole host of useful features that I didn't expect to find in a compact camera this cheap, and the menu is very helpful if you're new to photography. It features a whopping 22 different scene modes, and unlike most cameras I've tried these ones seem to work pretty well! In the menu is also a "guided mode" where you select what you're trying to do through a series of questions and the camera sets the settings for you! It's amazingly quick to do this actually, and the results are very good I've found.

The anti-shake feature seems to do its job to a limited degree, but it does give a noticeable improvement. It can be a little annoying trying to delete photos, as you can't select the ones you want to delete and do it all in one, but it's no major issue and doesn't affect it's ability to take a good photograph.

The screen is great, just as I'd expect and with no problems at at all. It's supposed to have a viewing angle of 140 degrees, but in reality it's more like 180 degrees! Can see it perfectly from any angle, which is really useful if taking photos in awkward places. Brightness of the screen can also be boosted for if you're out in strong sunlight, making it a lot easier to see.

One thing I'm really impressed by is the battery life! The battery is very small and lightweight, but even so it far outlives the battery lives of previous compacts I've owned.

The weatherproofing is great too, it's handled being out in the rain absolutely fine which is something I dare not to do with my DSLR. The brushed metal body is great aesthetically too.

So overall, if you're looking for a no-nonsense camera at a very reasonable price then I'd definitely recommend this camera.

Not impressed.......2007-08-29

I bought this because I wanted a robust waterproof('ish) lightweight camera. It has stood up to some abuse, but the quality of the pictures is poor, especially in low light conditions. There are few small other niggles, slow start-up, keep having to "ok" scene on each start-up, can only delete single or all pictures not tag a bunch for removal, but I could live with these if the image quality was good. There's not much point having a robust camera if the pictures it takes are bad. All the modes struggle to get consistently sharp pictures, even in good conditions. Disappointed.
