I bought this camera about a year ago Jan 07. My only problem with it and that's my fault for not checking is that it uses regular batteries. DON'T EVER BY ONE THAT USES REGULAR BATTERIES. I have rechargeables, but they don't last long. It took great pics, even movies and it needs a memory card of course but it was great until for no reason it went kaput.

I turned it on, was on the wrong setting, tried to change it, and it froze, and the lens won't retract. It hadn't been dropped or anything that might have caused it.

I don't expect this kind of fault after a year. I wouldn't bother to complain in this review, but I went onto a US site to try to get an experts view and found 3 other people who'd had the SAME problem. So be careful.
