I bought this because it was very cheap despite it has a lot of space (512mb). After the installation, the base score of windows index quickly rose to 4.1 which is very good for Vista Aero and mid range games that were released around 2003. i must say that this graphic card is worth more than the original price. If you are not a Hardcore gamer but still plays mid to top range games, i definitely recommend this. But if you feel like you would like to play a lot more games than usual, then i would suggest Ati X1950. But once again, this is cheaper and has a good feature despite of the lower price. Currently, i am staying with this till the others lower their prices.

Good value, but not really futureproof.......2005-01-05
This card is good value if you are a light hearted gamer, but don't expect to put options on high for the likes of Half Life 2. It is a low end card and is quite far back in benchmarks, though it is very good value if gaming is not one of your priorities. It will probably play anything you throw at it at the moment (maybe not in a year or two), but like I said don't expect very high settings!

after buying my pc from pc wolrd just over a year, i thought it was time to upgrade my graphics, because i had onboard graphics on my machine which as you know are hopeless, and are mainly ment for office computers and not gaming. As i have got over 30 pc games, i was getting really anoid because none of them really worked what you could say excellent with the onboard graphics. I know a bit about computers but i wouldn't say i was an expert. i was toying with the idea of taking it to pcworld to have a graphics card put in, but i had a look on amazon and found i could pick up a top of the range graphics card for £40. If i took it to pcworld it would cost me about £60 for the graphics card and about £30-£40 to have it put in, i should imagine anyway. i searched google on how to change a graphics card and that gave me a good idea how to do it, so i decided to go for it and buy the graphics card off ebay and do it my self. It arrived today and i siply unsrewed the cover sloted the graphics card in place and put a scrwm on the end of the bracket to hold it in place, installed the drivers and it was as simply as that. The card is awesome, the grapics are now amazing on all my games i have installed,and my pc is now like a ferari and gaming on my machine is awesome. Go on treat yorself and purshase this card, you wont be disapointed for the money its graet. The graphics seems like they are supped up with nos thats how quick and smooth they are.

This is an EXCELLENT, AFFORDABLE, graphics card! i had a RUBBISH!, voodoo 3dfx card. Sinse im a big game fan i hav a load of games that require a very decent graphics card and i knew it was time 4 a change... and what a change it was!, when i purchased this i was amazed! Flight simulator 2002 ran perfectly and smoothley unlike my crappy old card b4 where it was glitchy... I 100% reccomend it, so go and BUY IT!

As you read the above coment that is the thought that ripped thru my brain. This card is AMAZING. It has some of the best graphical powers that i have ever seen. I put this card in my computer a little under a week now and it has changed my gaming life forever. I was running my games on a crappy intel graphics controller and it made games slower than a snail with asthma. But since putting this card in it's like giving your old granny a steroid injection and giving her a new hip for christmas. By that i mean your computer is so happy with its MASSIVE gift that it jumps up and kisses you full on the lips.(Got a shock then).
If your looking for a boost of life from your pc then this is it. Cheap and brilliant graphical accelaration. By the way when i bought this card I was worried that this 8x card wouldn't work on my 4x mother board but it works fine. GET THIS CARD NOW.

Using one of these is like driving a brand new Jaguar, so classy and the performance is like its got a 8600 cc engine built into it! It features 128 DDR like the previous Radeons but the new features like Smartshader and smoothvision 2.0 guarantee a gaming experience so intense and mind-blowing that you really can't tell the difference between movies and games anymore, especially with new gaming engines on the markets.This card is quite economical and like almost all of ATI's cards, has an excellent Perfromance to Price ratio.
