    I bought this as a bit of an afterthought for using with my D300, I already have the wireless remote and generally use it more often.
    This remote however is much more useful if you want to work behind the camera (where all the rest of the controls are) and more precisely control the timing of your shots.
    The cord is perhaps a bit short and an extention wire would surely not have been too much to expect at this price.
    Generally a good buy but if it's an either/or situation with the wireless RC05 I'd go for the RC05.

      I bought this swith at the begining of this month,very disappointing. As the box instructs,First plug into your camera remote socket, which I did, my camera being a five month old K110D pentax. Second press button halfway to activate auto focus,shutter speed and aperture.Third press and the camera takes the photo.No way the camera just sits passive.I tried many different settings in the camera thinking that it must not be set right, but alas no go,a waste of time and money.
