I am very pleased with my Hercules Webcam Deluxe. It amazed me that for such a low price it has so many features. I am still playing with the Funhouse and I think most people would be amused with it. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wanted a reasonably priced webcam and didn't expect a top quality picture. If you do you should expect to pay very much more for it.

Not only did I look extensively on the web for all kinds of webcams, I have used others both at home and at work. I found Hercules to have the best potential pixel range, along with its 4-LED lights and mic. I'm a happy camper with this webcam. I haven't had a problem and it was easy to install. The pricing at the time was reasonable too. You get what you pay for...pay cheap and you get cheap. But Hercules was not an expensive webcam. Since I send a lot of video emails, I recommend it to all my friends.

Having read the reviews on this I purchased one. I cannot get this to install on my laptop. I have tried everything and can't get it to connect. Contacted the support bods who gave me instructions and when they didn't fix the code 10 error they gave up and told me the problem must be local to my PC. Stuck with a webcam that wont instal.

Based on the two reviews which praised this item I decided to give it a go. It seemed a good price for a webcam that did everything it stated above and had such glowing reviews. How wrong could I be. The item arrived and I installed it perfectly, no problem at all, however it wouldn't take snapshot pics and on IM the screen was so dark, despite me being in a well lit room, that noone could see me. The LED which supposedly come on in poor light didn't work at all. I tried the online support site but it did not answer the problem so I called their technical help line. I called twice and both times the phone was answered, I heard breathing at the other end and then both times I was hung up on. I would warn anyone thinking of buying this cheap piece of merchandise to look elsewhere. Even if the thing works at the time of purchase I doubt you will ever get good support from the company if it ever goes wrong.

I was playing all day. I will tell you what did I find out. If we talking about image quality, i think is very nice 8/10. Hercules can work in low light cos have 4 leds and very cool potentiometer for adjusting the intensity of night vision. But if we talking about sound "Hercules Deluxe" is very very bad. From one side is very sensitive and from other side is sound like old vinyl or tape, making some noise. I try to download latest driver but is changed nothing. So for sound I will give only 3/10. For Value 10/10.. Good Luck
