Have always liked Sennheiser headphones and needed to replace a tatty pair purchesed many years ago. Bought these for my portable MP3, very impressed with the performance as they can cope with the high tones to deep base that music can throw at them. As for a budget pair of headphones they are excellent and get my vote

Excellent headphones. Lightweight with magnificent sound quality and good bass. Ideal for playing any kind of music but especially rock, jazz and classical. Used with my Creative Zen Micro they provide wonderful sound quality, as good as a top rate fully kitted out hifi!

These are great sounding phones. Detailed top and firm but clear bass. The only problem is that, on my head at least, the headband is too inflexible to be comfortable. I have to slide the 'cups' to the end of the headband and so I'm suffering maximum clamping of my ears. Also the cups can't swivel enough to be parallel to my ears so they tend to dig-in at the bottom. Full marks for sound but zero marks for comfort!

I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD477 headphones at the very affordable price of £35.00 and have not been disapointed. I use them for mixing my own music on my PC and while they are not top range mixing headphones they are a close second best. I unfortunatly could not afford the £80.00 to £200.00 that it takes to buy the best, but after a long search I found these headphones to be the best for the money, my mixes have improved immensely and I am certainly not disapointed with this purchase.
