Gee Whizz - it's Great!.......2008-01-15
Great value for money, and after fitting the two AAA batteries works intuitively and instantly straight out of the box (well, plastic blister pack to be precise) without any drivers to load. Very ergonomic with a tactile rubbery finish on the underside. Probably the best gadget I'll buy this year.
Does What it Says on the Tin..........2007-12-14
This is an excellent device - simple, efficient, and a joy to use. I've tried other devices and none come close. If you use PowerPoint then this will be a boon.
I travel a lot and generally run my presentations off a memory stick on whatever computer the event organisers supply. It has always worked first time, without any fuss.
The only problem I've encountered is that it does not seem to work in presenter mode but if you're working this way then you almost certainly need to be close to the computer anyway.
Definitely a five star piece of kit.

This little gadget, certainly lives up to all my expectations and the price is terrific. I've been looking on the high street for something similar and refused to pay the £50+ This is discreet, easy to use and the built in laser pointer is a real bonus. The added feature of battery conservation by inserting the usb key into the presenter really is great. I'd recommend it to anyone lecturing or presenting, doesn't matter how few or how many you do - don't be without one!

I have used several wireless presenters.
Some are fiddly because they have too many controls. Some have a poor range. Because I use my presnter when I am out and about I have lost the USB receiver for every presenter have used also because I tend to keep my presenter in my pocket it has often turned on accidentally with consequent battery wastage.
This presenter looks neat, has an astonishing range and simple controls but best of all the receiver is housed in the presenter itself when not in use and this turns the unit off. So no more lost receivers and no more battery wastage. Excellent.
Revolutionised my teaching!.......2007-05-31
I'm a University lecturer, and I have long hated being confined behind a lecturn to change slides in a Powerpoint presentation by using the mouse or keyboard. I have just bought one of these remote control units, and it is quite brilliant! It is literally Plug 'n' Play (i.e. you don't have to reboot the computer with the USB receiver in to have the computer recognise it) and means you are free to wander the room as you speak, and deliver a much more interactive experience to your audience. The laser pointer is an added bonus, and the fact that the USB receiver sits inside the main unit when not in use (disabling it so that battery power isn't wasted by accidental button pressing) is a fantastic piece of design. Absolute genius!

A must for any trainer or presenter. The Kensington Wireless presenter is a simple, effective tool that makes any presentation/training session look more professional and seamless.
It's compact, easy to use, long battery life, no downloading software or putting in wires, simply plugs into your USB port before you switch on your lap-top - it's a simple as that!!!

I was at a presentation recently and saw speaker after speaker walking across the floor to go to the next slide. It was distracting and unnecessary. This wireless presentation remote is affordable and really does just plug into any computer and there you are - forwarding PowerPoint slides at a disatance. Recommend it highly!

I regularly have to present at project meetings and service management briefings.
Working for Fujitsu we are normally supplied with a Fujitsu branded 'VersaPoint Communicator Remote'
The Versapoint whilst a very capable unit has the problem that it is all too easy to click the button mapped to escape. Even if you are well practiced with the device - every now and then you will find yourself dropping out of the presentation part way through.
I bought the Kensington solely to avoid this problem and have sincecome to love it. It provides four simple functions:
* Next Slide
* Previous Slide
* Laser Pointer
* Fade to black
Pure simplicity - it can be operated without looking with no chance of pressing the wrong button.
Unlike some other remotes, the USB radio dongle plugs into the device and whilst in the remote disables all functions effectively powering off the device to prevent battery loss.
To use just pull out the dongle (the pointy part at the bottom) out of the device and plug into the presenting computer. Wait for the green link light and your off.
When the dongle is plugged into the computer the remote sits so comfortably in the hand. It is small enough to be reasonably hidden from view if required - yet the buttons are big enough and well laid out so not to miss.
Runs off a standard calculator button battery (CR2032 i think) and lasts a long time.
Such a good device I unplug the provided remote when I speak as a guest and use mine.
