Only been using this mouse for a few days, but does it go! From my wireless mouse (I thought was good) to this just shows how wrong I was. Buy this mouse it rocks!!!!!
From an Internet mouse to MX518.......2008-01-01
I recently purchased this mouse from Amazon after using a Microsoft Intelimouse for 6ish years for gaming.
It did take alot of getting used to the hight DPI on the mouse and the side button configuration also threw me for a while.
But having used it for about 5 days now I really have the hang of it , and am amazed at the difference this has made.
I use the mouse in conjunction with a Steelpad Qck+ mouse mat (which is big 450mm x 400mm x 2mm) and they work well together.
I would recommend this mouse & mat to any gamer who is looking for that extra edge.

Great gaming mouse.......2007-05-13
This is a top class gaming mouse with 3 levels of DPI to choose from depending on what task you are doing. It's perfectly smooth for gaming and comfortable to hold, It's far better than it's rival (Razor Diamondback mouse) which tends to go wrong after 6 month's as i and others found out.. i have had my MX518 for 7 month's and it's still working perfectly and im having hours of gaming fun.
Review for Mac users.......2007-04-04
While pointing is accurate and being able to change the DPI via the buttons above and below the scroll wheel is useful, there is no Logitech Control Centre software for this mouse.
Ergo . . . should you want to define what each button (particularly the thumb (next and previous buttons for Safari etc). . . let alone specifying set-ups for individual apps: you can't at the moment (4/04/07) - Very irritating especially since Apple still can't design a 2 button mouse that works properly!
Both manufacturers are 'Wubbish' on both accounts!
