o.k. when working.......2008-01-17

my first pair of cordless phones, ordered a pair charged for 24hrs, after an hour the base unit stopped working replugged worked for 20mins stopped again, on and off a couple of times then stopped all together, sent them back, amazon re-ordered & sent me another pair low & behold the same thing happened again, very disappointed after reading the reviews, when they were working, v.good, went 100 yards down garden & into shed and they worked fine, I'll stick with corded ones i think.

I bought this product mainly based on the positive reviews, however, there were a few negitive things about it, and i was indecisive about weather to buy it or not, however, eventually, i decided to bite the bullet and go for it, and boy was i impressed, it arived band on the day it said it would, even with the super saver delivery it was only 4 days (including a sunday). the product its self on the other hand, is very impressive, sound quality is great, its almost perfect for the person listening, however it does loose quite a ot of sound and is easily heard by others. very pleased and definatly deserves 5 stars

Quality....but questions.......2007-11-22

I find it quite annoying that the volume and tuning feature are a spec of dust apart; also leaving the headphones on 'standby' can lead them to play up e.g. partial sound. However when the device does work it is something special, and dont laugh at the range because trust me it goes the length it states. I was close to a three star review but the quality of sound made me feel guilty.

Not bad for the price. I find there's a little bit too much background hiss for me and the headphones have a tendency to slip off at the smallest of head movements. Also, as someone else wrote, the volume and tuning wheels are too close together so altering the volume could cause you to accidentally un-tune them. To be honest, I wouldn't buy them again but maybe I just expected too much for the price.

Great phones - but a few niggles, 9 Sep 2007

I am very pleased with these phones, use them daily. Wireless phones are wonderful. To my (aging) hearing, the sound quality is just fine. So just a few niggles:-

1) If, like me, you use them while being active about the house and garden, you may find that they have a highly annoying habit of falling off your head when you bend down!

2) There is a smart system in the transmitter whereby it turns itself off if it thinks the TV or HiFi that it is plugged into is switched off. Excellent except that it is far too insensitive and you have to have the voulme very high to prevent it switching off transiently in quiet passages. Not a problem in that the phones can be turned down to compensate, but a real nuissance in that the TV.HiFi ROARS at you when/if you plug the phones out.

3) Real design boo-boo! There are two identical thumb-wheels on the right hand phone. One is for volume that you regularly use. The other is for tuning that you set once and forget. These are far too close together - it is horribly easy to turn the wrong one while trying to adjust the volume (which you obviousy do blind, with the phones on your head)and to lose the sound altogether or introduce hideous distortion. I hope I have just fixed this problem by putting selotape over the tuning wheel (ugly), but the designer should be shot.

Fantastic Headphones.......2006-04-15

I bought these headphones due to the sennheiser quality I have come to expect, the fantastic price and the aesthetics.
In each of these areas I have not been dissapointed. The sound quality of the headphones Is very good when tuned correctly, and the headphones are easy to tune so all Is well concerning sound. After recieving my headphones I had them plugged in and working after 3 minutes. Whereupon I promptly walked down my street to test the range. The range is phenomenal and remains high quality in my garden, and still retains a decent quality when pushing 100 metres (not that I have reason to go that far wearing my headphones).

The headphones are light and do occasionaly dislodge If you move eratically. The cradle charging facility is beautiful, simple and effective. And the combined product looks good on my desktop.

All in all I am very proud of my purchase and I am thoroughly enjoying using them. I would recommend this product to anybody without hesitation.

Good product but some niggles.......2006-02-04

This is my first experience of wireless headphones so I have nothing to compare them with, but they seem very good to me. Sound quality is good and range quite long. Headset is comfortable to wear, but is a bit loose which is awkward when moving about a lot.

The instructions are confusing. A single sheet with brief instructions in numerous languages. What I didn't realise for ages was that there were 2 separate sets of information in all languages on each side of the sheet, and some illustrations in a different section to the English instructions. Once having found all that, everything was fairly simple.

Real drawback was only having continental 2-pin plug attached with no adaptor for UK 3-pin set-up. Fortunately I had an adaptor supplied with another product which I was able to "borrow" until I can buy another.

I've always liked Sennheiser headphones, so when I started looking for another pair of cordless headphones, I knew which company I'd be looking at first.

The build quality is good, as per usual, and the charging system is very easy to use. The headphones just rest on the cradle and charge through the metal bars ( no connecting a cord between the headphones and the base, like I had to on my old cordless headphones ).

The headphones are light and comfortable to use ( allowing for the fact they are cordless, so you're carrying a pair of AAA batteries and an RF receiver in them ). The sound is clear enough, when I was listening to music although I found the bass a little light. If you're going to use these for gaming and/or films, you might find certain sound effects, like explosions, are a little lacking.

The only other niggle is the fact that the tuning and volume controls are next to each other, so if you turn the wrong dial, you could lose sound all together. It's only a minor thing, but something that needs mentioning.

Overall, I'm pleased with the headphones. The Amazon merchant I used was very quick to deliver and I'd happily use them again.

The only thing that stops them getting five stars is the slightly lightweight bass and tuning/volume control niggle. Other than that, yet another excellent product from Sennheiser.
