Get an iPHONE for £5!.......2008-01-18
Here is your chance to get an iPhone for no more than £5. I'm not joking either, the (B).(B).(C). and the Times
newspaper have verified this in various articles and exposes. Don't delay and get an iPhone for yourself.
Here is the easy guide:
1. Go to this site
Applefreebiejeebies(.)tk
remove the brackets and paste to the address bar
Simply then register for (G)ala (b)ingo or (c)oral (b)etting which is just £5
As you see these companies are reputable, and its well worth a go to see if you can get yourself something this
good for next to nothing. Don't miss out!
Not SLC.......2008-01-11
The Manufacturer's review for this memory card states that this is an SLC type card. It was in actual fact, the MLC type which is slower and less robust. The actual Transcend product number (check their website for reliable info) is TS4GSDHC6.
On a more positive note, delivery was quick and the price was cheap, even when you take into account the sneaky postage costs (which incidentally, aren't refundable should you have a problem).
Fantastic value.......2008-01-01
I've got a couple of these cards for use in my Canon Ixus 860 IS camera and I've had absolutely no problems with either of them. This card is more than fast enough to handle video and photos (continuous shooting mode) at the highest quality without the camera having to pause while it writes to the card (video at 2MB/s and photos at 3-4 MB/s).
As mentioned by previous reviewers, there are compatibility issues with SDHC cards and older SD devices (as in the cards don't work in them) so check before buying one of these cards.
Overall, fantastic value for money.
To M.Stevens: this is SDHC not SD.......2007-10-30
One star from the previous reviewer is in my opinion way too harsh: this is an SDHC card, not SD, it is not backwards compatible and might not be suitable for use in some card readers and older devices that do not support SDHC. If you bear that in mind, this card is great value for money.
Great in the camera but not in the computer.......2007-10-12
I bought this, because as the owner of an architectural practice, we tend to take lots of high quality photos.....the card is great in the Panasonic Lumix camera......however, none of my laptops (either Windows or Mac based) will recognise the card unless it is in the camera, and we tend to use card readers rather than plugging the camera into the computer.
A 2GB SD Card works perfectly well and takes around 700 photos at high quality.

the BEST.......2007-12-30
i don't need to do a big review because there amazing. a must have the bass is 5 star. very stylish. A MUST HAVE
Excellent quality for the money.......2007-12-13
Thoroughly impressed with the sound quality from these speakers. Certainly far better sound than any midi hi-fi system for the same money.
Sub woofer sounds very clear, and having bass adjustment on the controller is very useful. Great range from the satellite speakers, which also look as if they could be wall mounted (though you'd struggle to hide the wires).
Finally, they also feel well made. Very solid and a good "weight" to them.
Overall, look great, sound great, very impressed.
Logitech Z-4.......2007-12-08
This is the first ever review i have made just had to drop a note about these ace speakers.... read all the other reviews and went for it, just cant get over how good they are and for only 40 quid !! put all my cd's on the hard drive cool, no more cd cases littered over the lounge floor trying to find a track, i down loaded the free winamp player and together just the best sound set up for me, i would guess that the pros would say different but i would reconmend them for home use great sound with great bass (and they look good too) came with the 13amp plug not the 2 pin)
Anti -neighbour relationship .......2007-11-15
Following the purchase of my z4 system i have been astonished at the breakdown of neighbour relationship; once so good but now ruined....O well it was worth it! Electro, Dance and especially Trance are a must with these; good bass and pure sound make it a good buy for your wallet but a bad buy for anyone within your vancinity. Im sure this won't put you off, Enjoy.
Great speakers.......2007-10-24
Great speakers, especially for the price, with good sound reproduction across music, TV, films and games. I would say the bass control is definately worth the extra cost over models that omit this feature as it allows for much greater versatility. For instance, you don't always want rumbling bass if your just watching the news but its nice to have the option with a film or music. The setup is nice looking but simple enough to be considered fairly discreet, especially the sub which is compact but effective. Overall I have been impressed with the package and would be nit-picking to suggest any improvements.

Oh Dear.......2007-05-25
I was really happy with this software at first, having upgraded from Elements 2, and the results were really great. Then the glitches started to show. I worked on some images for ages, only to find that I couldn't save them or even close the program down. Convinced it was related to my old computer I bought a new one and guess what, all the glitches were still there. I'm going to have a go with Elements 5 before I abandon Adobe altogether. Stay tuned for my experiences with that.
Superb photo editing software.......2006-09-13
I've used lots of different image editors including The Gimp, Paint.NET, Photoshop Elements 2 and the very expensive Photoshop CS2. But Elements 4 is my favourite by a long way. It's got a wonderfully easy interface (especially if you ignore its Organiser and just use Windows Explorer to put images in a sensible folder structure) and is quite quick on my humble half Gig XP PC, even with a dozen large images loaded (hint if you find it slow, go to Edit, Preferences, Memory and increase the max used value to 80%+). I find it pretty easy now to add someone to a group shot so you can't tell who was added (the camera often lies!) and can also make convincing panoramas from multiple shots. Perspective adjustment (for those inward leaning cathedrals etc) is a fancy tool which works very well. But it's all the basic image editing that is fabulous, especially when you start using keyboard shortcuts. The Quick fix collection is really useful, scanning, cropping and resizing easy, the levels histogram brings dull pictures to life and all the tools are beautifully crafted with full control over opacity etc.
Terrific software, horrendously slow........2006-08-22
Photoshop Elements is, as ever, wonderful software with a few new features worth having (most notably the magic extractor which extracts an object from its background). However it is so painfully slow that I am debating a return to Elements 3. I have used it on three different computers, one of which has 3GB of RAM. There isn't a good enough reason in my view to stick with Elements 4 when 3 worked so smoothly. Just to give an indication of just how slow it is, changing from text editor to cursor tool has taken over one minute on my 3GB machine. This becomes very weary making when simply retyping a caption becomes a ten minute job. Stick with Elements 3 until this has been ironed out.
Lots Of Fun With A Few Glitches.......2006-07-25
This version of Adobe Photoshop is full of cool tricks and some frustrating ones as well. I take a lot of underwater photos without a strobe, so the colors can be too blue or flat. The Photo Editor works great bringing back the original colors, contrasts and shadows. I don't like to change a photo too much and you can get very precise with any change you make. There are lots of ways to alter or manipulate photos here. The regular non-water photos also edit very well. The skin tone option is amazing and the `tagging' and `drag & drop' features are very easy. The learning curve was a bit much at first, but once you have a half dozen controls down, it gets easy very quickly. The slide show feature is what I truly bought this for and there are almost too many options. I try to keep the special effects to a minimum to not detract from the show. The blank slide feature with storyboard/text makes the show more entertaining and personal. The program does have its glitches. It takes quite a while to simply load Photoshop and I have a fast computer with tons of memory. The editor takes more time to load than I expected as well. I did have a few photos "fail" when I changed too much, but there is a `layer' feature that can prevent this. Everything is well organized and easy to find, however. With nothing else to compare this to, I'd say it's a good choice if you don't mind the download times.
This is the greatest software on earth........2006-07-17
The software loaded with no problem, and I was using it to do simple editing right away. Photoshop Elements 4.0 is fantastic. My O.K. looking digital photograghs look anywhere from much better to amazing with this software. There is a learning curve if you're not familiar with digital editing. Adobe's website offers inexpensive 21 day courses that really helped me. Also, I made use of Adobe's free help center on the web to learn the software features.
This is the software that can do everything I wanted other inferior picture software to do. Again, there is a learning curve, but I didn't think it was difficult to understand or use Photoshop Elements 4.
For a little time spent learning, I got a big, big bang for my buck.

ULTRA MINI 4 PORT USB HUB BLACK NS
Customer Reviews:
great lead length.......2006-12-05
The length of lead enables this to be placed on desk for ease of access and 4 extra ports are great.Good value for money.
Great product but Windows messages detract.......2006-08-28
This USB hub is great, I have a laptop and I plug printer, external DVD and external hard drive into hub, which is attached to the underside of my desk (with vecro - my own velcro was not supplied with product). For my uses, the hub does not need to be powered by mains power (i.e. another cord is not needed). All this combines to make it very easy to plug and unplug the USB hub, and move my laptop. The speed of the hub is fine, but here is the problem... Whenever I use a USB 2 compliant device, or whenever I plug the hub in, Windows notifies me that 'this device can perform faster' and I find this very annoying. There is no option not to show the message again. For this reason, and this reason only, I wish I had bought a USB 2 hub!
Good Cheap Worker.......2006-01-30
This product is value for money, its a good robust piece of kit, it does exacly what it should do, you connect it to your USB port and its ready to use. I have a HP copier/printer/scanner, a HP laserjet Printer, a CDRWriter and my Broadband connected and everything works fine. My only issue and I knew his beforehand is that the blue lights are on on all ports even if the port is not connected to a device, however for the money its a really good buy and unlike other products its easy to use and hastle free. No documentation comes with the product, the makers have a web site, but its plug and play with a good cable length.
Targus Ultra Mini 4-Port USB Hub.......2006-01-22
I really like this piece of kit. Its so useful for connectivity takes the hassle out of trying to get at the ports at the back of the computer. It has enough cord to sit nicely within reach, which is a plus and what I was wondering about. I am just getting used to the lit up socks that glow purpley blue, that's different. You can have serval things running at the same time. I have lots of bit and bobs so its very handy.
Nice blue lights, but..........2005-12-31
Works well enough with mice / joysticks etc. but a lot of money for a basic USB 1 hub. It only transmits at 12 Mbps not 480 Mbps of a proper USB 2.0 hub that can be bought here for a few pounds more.

Customer Reviews:
Perfection.......2008-01-07
I've had this D-Link hub for some months now and am unable to fault it. If you are looking for a reliable USB Hub this is the one to buy!
Well made, works perfectly for Mac computers and Windows............2008-01-07
This USB hub comes with an external power supply so you can use it with your Ipod and mobile phone which all need a power source when connected. Non-powered Hubs would not be able to work with these. It works fine with my Mac on OSX and i'm sure it's fine with Window's P.C.'s as well.
Failure to connect.......2007-12-03
Although this looked a nice bit of kit it wouldnt make a permanent connection and kept requiring that I reload it.It would flick in and out of connection.Possibly a fault in manufacture
Does the job & looks good.......2007-09-10
Very nice piece of kit.I bought one to replace a cheap ugly thing that looked unnaceptably naff next to my new PC and also didn't work particularly well.OK so its a hub and its hard to get very excited but it seems well built with a bit more substance than some in this price range.Dead easy to set up,so far it has worked very well & its nice looking & compact enough to sit on my desk & look extremely businesslike.Personally I like the compact chunkiness of it plus its great value and it works. What more can you ask of it ?
Excellent for powering/joining long USB cable runs.......2007-08-23
I bought this hub for a slightly unusual reason. I needed to connect two long USB 2.0 cables (over 8 Metres in total) to go from my PC upstairs to a freeview recorder box downstairs. You definitely need additional power for this long a cable run so I decided to buy a powered ('active') USB hub to join the cables.
It has done the job really well. It comes with a PSU so I was up and running straight away. I've never had a dropped connection and performance seems very good. LED indicator lights show activity and status on each port.
It's very neat and compact for a hub - it doesn't take up much desk space and looks nice next to my aluminium PC case. It comes with a quite long USB 2.0 cable to connect it to the PC. It was recognised straight away by Windows XP and 2000 without any messing about.
It works fine in its more traditional role of connecting multiple USB devices to a single port on my PC. I don't bother using its separate PSU for this task and it works fine without it.
All in all, very happy. Even though it's perhaps relatively expensive for a 4 port USB 2.0 hub, I think it's worth it.

Customer Reviews:
Sucks in the light!.......2007-09-17
This lens is great, as you'd expect. It has such a wide aperture, it can take really good pictures indoors with no flash. If you want to take advantage of the short depth of field, make sure to focus on the subject you want; it can be so short (if you want) that even nearby items are out of focus.
I use it with a half-frame image sensor DSLR so the effective focal length is more. Sometimes you have to stand quite far away from a person to take a portrait.
The lens allows manual focus at the same time as automatic focus, but I find that the focus ring is a little loose. (these may be related). People tell me that doesn't matter, but I wish it was tight.
Lovely lens!.......2007-07-21
This lens is great for low light conditions. The focus is sharp and the background blur dreamy & creamy when wide open. Brilliant results with my 5d.
Sharp with great colours.......2007-06-18
I've had mine for 8 years and it delivers sharp pictures with great colours every time. If I could only own one lens, this would be it.
Far better than the 50mm f1.8.......2006-04-03
I've tried all of Canon's 50mm lenses from the cheap, plasticky f1.8 to the hyper-expensive f1.0. This is the best compromise and allows decent shutter speeds in low light without flash. It ia sharp all the way to the edges (upto A3 at least) and doesn't seem to be affected by flare even without a lens shade. If all you have used is the zoom that came with the camera kit, I suggest you try this and see what a difference a decent prime (single focal length) lens makes. At nearly £300, however, it is quite an investment, but worth it.
