The worst headphones ever?.......2007-12-29
In fairness, the sound reproduction was quite good, but the annoyance whenever using this ill-conceived pair of headphones was just incredible. I expected a decent build quality for the price yet they have lasted only a few weeks of light use, forever getting really tangled due to a combination of the magnetic earbuds and the permanent natural curl designed into the cable.
Didn't anyone at Sennheiser every try to use these awful things before marketing them?
The "icing on the cake" was when two of the three cables, one by the volume adjustment control and the other by the connection jack, just split along their length for no reason. A rating of 1 star is 6 stars too generous. I will avoid buying Sennheiser in future if this is the standard they believe acceptable. The Sony earbuds I have used lasted for years and never gave a problem so clearly they can get it right.

The sound quality is okay but the ergonomic design of these earphones is really very bad. When use them while jogging they just fall out of the ear. I have to wear a headband over the ears to keep them in the ear and even then they continually fall out. At first i thought I had an abnormal ear size but when i compared them to my Sony, Apple iPod & Phillips earphones I very quickly realized that the ear buds on the Sennheiser MX70VC Sport Earphones are too large and the in-ear fit is badly designed. The ergonomics are dreadful. It's a pity because I have, in the past, associated the Sennheiser brand with good a certain level of quality but what use is sound quality if you can't hear it because the earbud it doesn't stay in the ear.
I would expect this quality from a pair of budget headphones not a £20.00 pair of earphones.
However, I have recently been given a pair of PMX70 Sport earphones by Sennheiser because of the MX70VC's bad design and the PMX70's are outstanding. I think they are Sennheisers only saving grace.

I have no idea which orifices these were designed for but it certainly wasn't for ears. They don't go in or stay in so how they could possibly be used for, eg., jogging, etc. I don't know. Item returned. DON'T BUY THEM!!!
VERY uncomfortable!.......2007-07-11
Bought these at Xmas as broke some Sennheiser CX300's and was waiting on a pair of PX250's. The ear buds are really uncomfortably large and do not stay in your ear, with no choice of buds they constantly fall out of your ears, also sound reduction is rubbish therefore annoying others on a packed train! Do yourself a favour and either buy Sennheiser CX300's or treat yourself and get some Shure E2C's for £35 on Amazon.

I hated these headphones. Anyone wanting sports headphones should go for the MX75s
I run a lot and these were ridiculous. They just don't stay in my ear. I was forever putting one in then the other as I ran along.
Aside from this the sound was fine but for me th evol control is a gimmick.
I would recommend that you buy these as a normal pair of headphones but for sports... don't even think about it. I have consigned these to a draw almost new too...
MX75s for running were much better. Testing a few others too and will comment on them as well

Many people have been saying that these ear-buds don't fit the ear canal properly. There is not strictly true: the package contains two sets of rubber fittings, one small and one large. You select the size which is a little too large for your ear.
To insert them properly you need to push the bud in while the hook-part is rotated forwards by about 30 degrees. When you twist it back to vertical it works like a screw, securing the bud tightly enough to go jogging with.
The sound quality:
The quality is reasonably high, but very good for the price. Similar Sony products tend to be able to match the quality and volume, so nothing amazing, but certainly wont leave you feeling short changed.
The Toys:
The ear-clips are very good, high quality and very functional.
The volume control is handy, though don't forget, it simply inhibits the sound, its not an amplifier. This means its good for turning the music down for conversations, but don't expect it to make the sound any louder than with other headphones.
Drawbacks:
The plastic covering on the wire tends to lead them to getting tangled when they get rammed in a pocket.
The earbud broke after a year (Bought without warranty unfortunately), but having said that, I'm buying another pair (New this time!) to replace them, so they obviously meet a good standard.
Overall:
As someone who demands top performance from their audio gear (B&W stereo and Bose QC3's) I can definitely recommend them!

I don't know what these headphones sound like as they simply do not fit!
However much I try to place them in my ears they always sit outside of my ears. Consequently it's like listening to a poor quality radio from two rooms away.
They might be fine for you but you'll be taking a risk that your ears are a different shape to mine!
You may find that the PX100 or CX300 models are a better choice. However, I've never had a pair of CX300s that have lasted more than 3 months - one channel always goes `missing'; but have not had any problems with the PX100s.

For the price,I did expect a little more from this otherwise quality maker.I bought these to replace my trusty Sony MDR-EX81SLs,which I was loath to do as I love them,but due to wear and tear,I had to.I chose them mainly because the sound quality was supposed to be as good,if not better,but I was dissappointed.
They do not sit in the ear canal,rather just outside,so the sound is quite tinny.Also,while the packaging looks the business,there is no actual information about the item,so it took a while to figure out how the volume control worked and as for the storage case,forget it!I certailnly couldnt work it out!
So,while the build is excellent,and they do look great,if its powerful bass and decent volume your after,steer clear.

I bought these headphones after a long line of Sennheiser earphones risking all of the bad reviews, and I'm glad I took the risk!
The price is a lot better than at Apple (£49.95) and the price is a bargain! The bass is great, the clarity is amazing, and once you spend a minute or two figuring out where they sit best in your ears, they stay in a treat.
The only problem I have is the weight of them, and the length of cable. 1.2metres is way too long, but i just bought a cable tidy for it so all is done!
I would recommend these to people who listen to a variety of music and have large ears like myself

I actually paid £40 for my set which is far more than I have ever spent on headphones but I wanted a decent set as I had spent a lot on my MP3 player and the set that came with it were poor to say the least.
These look the business with their stylish, heavy metal design with little piston adjusters, and sure enough, when pushed into the ears the sound is fairly impressive. The clarity is decent and the bass pretty full bodied. The problem is, when your not pushing them into your ears they sit just outside your ears giving you a sound akin to listening to music in the next room.
So if you dont need your hands free these are fine. Otherwise these are the most pointless set of headphones ever!

I agree with all the previous reviewers comments. Here's my experience of the T10's. I wanted some small reletivly inexpensive pc speakers so that I could listen to radio and music from my pc in the kitchen but as I like my music I did not want them to sound rubbish. I was very reluctant to purchase a pair of speakers without actually hearing them first. But I did quite a bit of research on the web before I decided on the T10's. It seemed that a lot of the speakers on the market especially those with subwoofers were too boomy, too much bass and lacking midrange. Now being a person who likes to hear all the instruments and vocals clearly I decided to sacrifice the bass for the mid range. After scouring the web I only found a few speakers that fulfilled my requirements at the right price and even these seemed to have conflicting opinions about the mid range lacking and being 'too bassy'. So even though I could only find a handful of reviews for the Creative T10 I decided to settle on them and I'm glad I did. When they arrived they felt heavy (always a good sign with speakers). And that evening I road tested them. First I tried the radio, I could hear the presenters clearly, good. Then with my partners music Clannad, I could hear the words and vocals clearly and all the musical instruments, GREAT! my partner was impressed also. Admittadly they were lacking a little in the bass department but for such small speakers at that price, without a subwoofer it was perfectly adequate. Next I tried playing The Cult and cranked them up a bit and they sounded pretty dammed good if not better than my hi-fi speakers and 'they rocked'. I only had to turn them up a 1/4 of the way as it is a small kitchen and I value my hearing I was amazed how much volume could be had from 5 watts rms per channel. I don't think the elderly couple who live next door were too impressed though! I imagine that these speakers would be suitable for most types of music, speach, classical, rock, metal, disco/dance etc...but not those that rely on obcene amounts of bass i.e reggae.
To sum up the T10's are a great sounding little pair of speakers with attitude at an affordable price but lacking floor shaking bass which is no bad thing unless you're into reggae, drum and bass or a similar type of music. I am now looking for chores to do in the kitchen so that I can listen to these babies much to my partners delight;)
Oh, by the way they sound best at just below head height.

I've been after some speakers for a while to upgrade the 'empty coke cans in a plastic bag' sound of my laptop's built in speakers (don't get my wrong, I don't expect miracles and I'm not an idiot but my NB speakers really are terrible sounding!)
I had 3 criteria: 1) Price 2) Size 3) Quality. I didn't really want to go down the 2.1 route as I wanted something reasonably portable/easy to pack away, so anything with a sub was a non-starter. I had seen some nice looking and very well thought of 2.0 systems (like the Gigaworks T20 and T40) but they were just outside the safety zone of what my other half would appreciate me spending!! I had bought laptop-specific speakers and travel speakers before and whilst they're fine for what they do, I wanted something a little better.
(I should add at this stage there was a 4th `secret' criteria which was they needed to look good enough for me to get away with leaving them lying about the house without getting myself trouble!)
I searched about for a while and stumbled across these little beauties. I've had a few Creative bits and pieces over the years and have always been impressed with the quality, durability and ease of use so decided to give the Inspire T10's a go...and I was mighty glad I did!
Out of the box they have an aura around them that implies a level of quality well above their price-bracket. Weighted with authority, delightfully stable in situ, a lovely compact footprint and an elegantly subtle finish all contribute to this. The matt black casing really accentuates the grand-piano, glossy black finish of the front panel and the silver cones sit comfortably entombed within their shiny black sarcophagus. And last, but by no means least, and unobtrusive green power indicator LED rounds off the vista.
Feature wise, you get a 'Power/Volume' dial, which satisfyingly clicks every time you turn them on or off. The 'Tone' switch allows you to adjust the level of bass and treble and has nicely `notched' mid-point, so you can easily locate the `unadulterated' setting, no matter how much you play about with it. There's the standard audio input as you'd expect for you PC or any other device that accepts a mini-jack. In addition however, you also get the luxury of an auxiliary in, so you can connect your mp3 player without having to constantly disconnect your PC. There's also a headphone output for those times when you need convenient private listening.
Sound-wise, they're very impressive and offer no shortage of bang for your buck! Something which is undoubtedly helped by the little holes in the top of each speaker which appear to act a little like the port on a traditional sub (hold your hand over it and you can feel it blowing out the occasional distinguishable puff of air). As ever, this has typically been given a gimmicky, over-complicated name - `BasXport'. Still, it seems to work, increasing the low-mids noticeably, so who am I to argue? Aside from the BasXport though, the mid-range driver and little silvery tweeter certainly do an admirable job of keeping their respective frequencies in check, delivering a nice rounded, balanced audio experience.
All in all then, a pretty gosh-darn favourable review and well worth the money and the 4 star rating.
Why not 5 stars? Well I need to leave some room for improvement or these companies will get all complacent!
Would I recommend them? Well, to anyone who's requirements are similar to mine, yes indeedy. So if that sounds like you, look no further!

This does exactly what it says on the tin. It's brilliant. It's loud and the sound is brilliant. I don't use my stereo in the house anymore I just use this. It's easy to use, it's brilliant to take on holiday as well. Money well spent!!!

I had 2 Logic3 i-station 7 and sent both of them back!! The sound quality when the machine was down low was awful - I thought the machine was faulty - the back speaker just crackled and it was really off putting. So I sent it back, but the next machine had the same problem - so I concluded it was the machine not a fault. I then discovered that if you are listening to classical music and there is a silent space or very quiet music, the machine turns itself off (it does come back on again) but this was very annoying. It also came with a huge power pack that was very heavy and bulky. The only plus points was that it looked nice, was compact and folded up for travelling. I would strongly recommend you look at other machines, as for the same sort of price you can get far superior sound quality - I ended up buying the LOGITECH - which I love and is much better and cost about the same!

My daughter wanted a speaker system for her ipod nano and we did the usual shoping around on line. Not for the first time we ended back where we had started, Amazon.
I knew a little about them because we bought one for my wife's ipod just a few months ago and we spent a lot of time looking at reviews back then. We spent £150 on an Altec Lansing IM7 (again from Amazon)and its superb. My view is, if you want a serious piece of kit that can deliver high quality sound, spend a litle more.
That said, my daughter is really happy with her Logic3. She wanted something small to keep on her dressing table and this certainly fits the bill. It can run on batteries as well as the mains and its small enough to carry about, e.g. on holiday.
Previous buyers have posted mixed reviews on the quality of the sound this unit delivers. I wasn't at all surprised, given the low cost of the Logic3 that the sound isn't great. It's a bit on the tinny side, more so when you turn up the volume.
My opninon is its horses for courses. For my 12 yo daughter, as bedroom speakers for her ipod, it does the trick and I'm happy because she's happy.
Design flaw limits use.......2007-01-16
This product is compact and sounds good for its size. It has a feature that automatically switches to standby after 30 seconds of no sound. Unfortunately no sound also includes quiet tracks on classical and jazz recordings. Basically it kept switching itself off in the middle of tracks and speech recordings, so we sent it back and have bought something else instead. Logic3 suggested we bought MIP106, the previous version which had a 3 minute switch off time. So why did they change it? In fact why have a secondary feature that prevents the main functionality from working properly?

I bought these speakers based on a recommendation from a friend and wasn't disappointed! The speakers are great, the quality of sound is v good and the look good and are great for when on holiday! The clear plastic cover keeps everything safe and protected! When clicking through songs on your i-pod, the speakers make a little 'searching noise' but it's not annoying or too loud. Great buy!

Whilst the unit looks nice and packs away neatly, it repeatedly cut out when playing classical music. I now see from reading other reviews that this is as a result of an automatic cut out on the unit when quiet music is playing.

My sister bought a pair of these speakers well over a year ago and they're still going strong! They get regular use and the sound quality is still excellent. The remote is so useful for skipping tracks, playlists and adjusting volume. I also have the i-station traveller which also has great sound quality but you cannot attatch to the mains or attatch to usb to sync. I am so impressed with the i-Station 7 that I am going to buy a pair to take to uni instead of taking my hi-fi. After all they do have hi-fi quality. They are a really good little pair of speakers and I highly recommend them!

I got last Christmas and I liked the desing from the beggining.
They are compact and easy to take on holidays , come with a useful remote control and the batteries last for a couple of hours , you can also charge the ipod from the base.
The quality of sound is acceptable-good and they work well in a small room without background noise , if you need to play something outdoor or in a party the system will elt you down as is not potent enough.
When you take into account the price I think the system compared really well with other expensice ones.
It comes with a cover , connections and adaptors , remote and battery.

I have two of these units in my house. They are absolutely fine for the rock and roll generation. However, as others have found, music with a slow beat or periods of soft melody causes the iStation to cut out. I checked with Logic3 and they told me that it is not a fault - it is a design feature to save power... That's all very well but if your TV went into standby during a dark scene you really would want it sorted out. Other irritations are noise pick-up from the transformer (which gets very hot)and short battery life. I would not therefore recommend these to anyone who listens to a wide range of music. This isn't just whinging - they're just not good enough even at the price.

I bought expensive noise cancelling headphones for use when flying and on my Palm to listen to music. In the air I could turn the volume down very low and still hear the sound tracks easily. When connected to my Palm the volume on the lowest setting was still too loud. This small inexpensive volume control has allowed me to listen to my music on my Palm at the level I need. Also it does afford full control from no sound to full device volume. The best buy I've made in a long time!
