PUREAV GOLD BANANA PLUGS 4 PACK IN
Customer Reviews:
Practical Solution with PureAV Speaker Cable.......2007-06-30
For someone that doesn't want to pay for others to terminate their loudspeaker connections these banana plugs offer a good solution - particularly if you're also buying the matching PureAV 16AWG loudspeaker cable.
Unlike the previous reviewer my five packs of banana plugs were in perfect condition. Some banana plugs are a tad too long, causing the plugs to protrude from both loudspeakers and amplification - but not these. In my opinion, they are the optimum length in providing a 'tight' connection.
On first inspection, the Amazon price might seem too much in comparision with other sellers on this site - but I soon discovered that these other prices often did not include VAT and shipping costs. When buying multiple packs, Amazon's price is therefore the most cost effective.
Defective goods.......2006-08-05
I ordered 5 packs of these banana plugs and 2 of the packs had been incomplete in their manufacture- they simply didn't have the hole or screw which is used to hold the speaker cable in the plug.
So, you might think this isn't too bad- just return them... Do you know how difficult it is too return goods that Amazon deem 'non-Amazon' products? Nightmare!! I mean I know it's only UK Sterling 8.60 but still- where's the customer service? I'm sure I am covered by my statutory rights so won't give up.
The 3 packs which were manufactured correctly are OK though.

UPS REGULATOR PRO 625VA
Customer Reviews:
A perfect device to protect your PC.......2007-06-26
I've just read some of the reviews here and have to disagree with the bad ones. I've used one of these units for over 8 years professionally, operating 24 hours a day and not once have I experienced any trouble with it. It has done exactly what it was meant to and prevented problems with power outages on several occasions.
I've now ordered another one to take over from its 8 year old sibling before it dies of old age; purely a precaution.
I recommend these without hesitation to clients, and have never seen this unit fail to perform as intended.
To address the issue of connectors, if you need to connect a different type of plug in (e.g. a telefunken figure 8 lead) wire one up! It's no harder than wiring a normal 3 pin plug.
Warning! Dont rely on this UPS for anything critical........2006-10-24
When I got the UPS I thought it was expensive but necessary. We'd had several power cuts and I thought I was lucky not to have anything die in any of my systems or had lost any important data.
I was happy that I had ensured the safety of my main workstation. That was until the UPS actually had to do it's job for the first time.
I had the Bulldog software installed and configured but it didn't make any difference. When we had a power cut my system froze - hardrives started going crazy but with a blank screen . After 10 mins I realised that it wasn't going to shut itself down so I had to do it!
When the power cut was over I turned on my PC to find that it wouldn't POST(power on self test). After much dismantling, testing components seperately on another system I eventually managed to get it back up enough to realise that my windows installation was screwed and I had lost 1 hard drive and the onboard LAN (both had fried). The windows installation was totally unrevivable all the system files had got corrupted yet explorer still opened somehow, gutting really as I had software that I couldn't replace.
I replaced the LAN and harddrive and went through the manual and Belkin's website to see what I had done wrong. Checking just confirmed that I had followed Belkin's installation instructions correctly the first time.
To cut a very long story shorter it never once shut down the PC properly. Now, the day after it's third birthday it's died. I cant believe I stuck with it for so long tbh, I suppose I deserve everything I got!(Also I realised that it's died the day after the warranty ran out! (- if I was a cynical man etc...)).
The price to me in total over the years has been 1 PSU, 1 LAN, 2 hard drives, a CPU and several windows installations not forgetting the UPS price tag on top.
The failures may be attributed to other factors but it was always after a power cut that they stopped working and needed replacing, so 1+1=?
And to add insult to injury - the machines that are plugged into a £10 surge protector are absolutely fine even though they were connected to the same ring main the whole time!!!!!!!
Works well, but probably not the best choice for modern PCs.......2005-05-13
This UPS is quite small & quiet (for a UPS), and it works well out of the box. The software is not great, but it works.
My only gripes are:
1. that this comes with a serial connection. Why, oh why did I not buy the USB model, which would be plug & play. Well, because Amazon didn't offer this model, however other vendors do, and for the same price.
2. you cannot plug "normal" uk 3 pin plugs into this device. You have to buy special power cables. One is included in the box, which is fine for your PC. However, this only fits PCs. These cables don't fit my monitor, my external peripherals, etc. which all have those laptop-style PSUs. So, when the power dies, my PC remains powered up, but my monitor doesn't, so I have to trust that the UPS software will power down my PC in a graceful way.
Please be aware that you cannot plug laser printers into this unit in any circumstances.
simply sits in the background doing its job.......2003-09-15
Well after having my hard drive completely destroyed by power outs costing me £108.00 to replace I decided to get a ups, after looking around I found this model to be not only what I needed but also the cheapest around, not only online but my local stores too.
Installation was a breeze and I completed the wire connections within minuets, after starting up the pc I installed the supplied software which is when I had my one and only problem, the services for the ups software wouldn’t run. After a few minuets i noticed that Windows XP Pro had tried to set up its own ups controlling software, well I simply told XP to not use its ups version re-started the pc and everything worked from then on.
The supplied software allows you to monitor the UPS power, volts, temp setting and much more and comes complete with two test settings to make sure everything’s working fine.
So far it’s saved me 8 times due to power outs and its great to see and know you’re protected. For value, easy of use and quality I would certainly recommend it to any one, in fact I think these days they should ship with all new PC’s.
After that it simply sits in the background doing its job which is really all you want it to do.

Customer Reviews:
A perfectly good USB cable.......2005-06-05
This piece of hardware works well, I've had no problems at all with it. I am using the HP PSC 1350 printer/scanner combination and the cable works well for connecting this equipment to my computer. However should I upgrade to a USB2 printer in the future I will probably need to buy a new cable as it's USB1.1 enabled.
Beware.......2004-11-08
Bewrae
This cable only supports USB 1.1 and was less efficient with my portable USB 2.0 hard drive - had to use the power supply with the hard drive to get the cable to work with it
Pure dead brilliant!!.......2004-08-22
If you need a USB cable to connect any of your bits and babs to your one and only beloved computer, please, please, please be advised to purchase this little piece of Belkin magic for that purpose. Quite simply, it does what it says on the label. And it does it extremely well!! PS: If you can wangle an Amazon discount you will be mad not to take it up.
Not quite what I expected.......2004-08-12
I thought this would be a way of bringing the USB port onto my disk so that I could, for example, plug my pen drive into it. It's not like that though, as the socket is a different shape.
Nicely manufactured.......2004-07-17
A bit expensive though well put together. Lifetime warranty the deciding factor.
