These are FANTASTIC headphones.......2007-05-05
I've had a pair of these for about nine months or so now. At the time I bought them (not from here I might add) they were around £35.00. I've always like Sennheiser and I bought them knowing that they were likely to at least sound okay.
I bought them to use with my MP3 player. Normal earphones that come with MP3s, the in-ear kind almost always sound rubbish. My wife's Nano 'phones are terrible. She plugged the Sennheisers in and couldn't believe the difference.
The bass extension on these is outrageous. Try listening to Machine Head's Imperium, or Pantera or Slipknot and you will understand just how articulate these headphones are at delivering weapons grade bass response as well as articulating crisp higher frequencies.
The only minor downside is that because they are open backed other people will hear a bit more of what you are listening to. But if that doesn't worry you overmuch since most ipod earphones are about as noisy, I would suggest you are selfish and get these divine portable 'phones.
They fold up well and sound great. They are also comfortable to wear and don't fall out your ears.
And they kick some serious [...] on sound delivery.
Recommended. Very.
Superb.......2006-11-04
I broke the headphones that came with my Bush DAB radio (trapped in the car door). Was this a disaster? No way! I bought a pair of these to replace them on impulse (at Richer Sounds in Prestwich). The difference is incredible! Not only does my DAB radio sound much better but the MP3's on the laptop and on my CD/MP3 player sound twice as good!
I'm not an audiophile so the difference must be massive for me to notice it so much!
So...trap your current headphones in the car door and buy some of these. You won't regret it!

Outstanding quality, excellent value.......2008-01-12
bought as replacement for in-ear standard earphones for 3g nano, read reviews and bought without trial. It's all good - excellent sound quality, bass response, comfort and the VALUE FOR MONEY is remarkable, they also came with a case as they are collapsable which allows the cable to be kept untangled when not in use (and has a really cool opening mechanism). Best purchase in a long time.
Greatness shows.......2008-01-12
OK I am a HIFI nut and unfortunately had to pack my CD player away when the kids were born and have been musicless for about four years now. Santa brought me an ipod Nano 3 for christmas and I've been loving the freedom this gives me to listen to my old CD collection. The quality is surprisingly mellow but as some have mentioned before the music is compressed and this is the sacrifice you make for all the other advantages of portability etc. Only gripe is the standard phones. I have tried but they just won't stay in my ears so they had to go. My best pal who is on his umteenth ipod raved about his £100+ Sony noise cancelling in ear phones and I tried them and thought the sound was twangy but this could have been due to the bad fit. Noise cancelling phones are not for me. I like to hear what is going on and I like an open sound. I have a terrific pair of Sennheiser 580's for the CD and love them but the impedance is too high for the ipod; plus I wouldn't walk down the street with them!
Descision was easy then. Buy Sennheiser on ear phones and the PX100's at £15 were a bargain too. Result: Couldn't be happier!
These are excellent for the money and for me the five stars are for sound, comfort and the great carrying case which although big, does the job. So not for you if you need to carry the phones in your shirt pocket.
The icing on the cake is the quality of these phones when you let them loose on some real audiophile kit. These phones are fantastic! I don't know how they do it for this money! Even if you think they look crap, buy them for listening to indoors. You will convert!
True Hi Fi Headphones.......2008-01-11
Simply amazing headphones!
I cannot fault them, and that is a first for me!
Frickin Brilliant.......2007-12-14
My Mate Murphy told me to buy these and he aint often wrong, so I did. And they are all he said they would be, and at a great price.
If you have not bough them yet, what you waiting for...go and buy some.
Unbelievable sound for so little money!.......2007-12-14
I own (soon owned, I'm selling...) the Sennheiser 'High-End' HD 650 going for around 200.00 Pound, but I prefer to listen over the PX 100.
First, they are very, very lightweight and comfortable, specially compaired to the HD 650. They can be folded, so great for traffeling, but what stunned me is the bass it is delivering from these small cans, I can't believe it! Apart from that, the total sound stage is so very coherent and delivered with so much ease and weight. These phones can be used for serious hi-fi listening, really!
When I returned to the HD 650, I found them sounding flat, the weight had gone and they were more restless.
I think that I can say that I've got experienced hi-fi ears and most of the time when I spend more money on my kit, it means a better performance, but these cans proof me wrong for once, unbelievable!!!

Bargain.......2008-01-10
I love these headphones. They're light and comfortable enough to wear all day . They sound really good too, especially for the price. And they match my iPod in white! :-D
Cool and do the job!.......2007-07-03
I have had the Sennheiser PX 100 Headphones in black for ages but fancied a change and these white ones go much better with most mp3 players.
Superb sound quality and they look cool. What more could you want?

Fantastic value. The best around........2007-12-12
You probably know that these are fantastic headphones but check out this price.
I bought these and this is genuine.
You get 2 pairs of PX100 headphones, in individual packaging, with their own storage boxes.
Some things, it appears, are really NOT too good to be true.

Customer Reviews:
Good sound, but too much leakage.......2007-12-11
My brother bought these becasue of its strap design. We both agreed the sound was really good. Even as good as my PX200. However, leakage was shockingley too much. Bare in the mind, that when wearing the px200 you can turn it up more than mid volume and no will hear the music sound on from the outside. But wearing these at the same volume, anyone will be able to hear the exact lyrics of the song. So immediately decided to return these, and get another pair of PX200 headphones.
Very pleased indeed.......2007-11-29
I have been using the headphones for a week now and i am very pleased with them. I takes i a little bit of time to get used to the neck band but soon you forget all about .
impressively strong bass - if that is your bag.......2007-08-24
I'm disappointed with these.
The bass and treble dominate to the detriment of the mid range. If you use an equalizer to lower the bass and treble, it just highlights the fact that the mid-range is weak and vague. Vocals never sound clear - always muffled.
On the plus side, it is a good brand name, and they are robustly made.
If you value strong bass and treble, then these are impressive for their size. If you would rather hear clear vocals, look elsewhere.
Beautiful.......2007-07-25
Not sure how this compares with the really expensive head phones out there, but easily the best set of headphones I have ever had. The sound is clear, smooth and louder then others I have tried in the past. Very comfortable on the ear, although the over ear brackets take a little getting used to. Cant find a real fault to complain about, I would pay more then the tiny £20 price tag given to it.
Worth every penny
Great item, fantastic sound.......2007-07-20
This is a great pair of headphones, very comfortable and the sound is a lot better than my previous Logitech headphones which I had bought for listening to music on my computer. As the description alludes to the headphones are perfect for portable equipment more than for plugging into a computer or hi-fi as the cable is not too long.
Finally if someone is rude enough to talk to you when you are listening to music they will sit comfortably just above the ears allowing you enjoy the music while giving the impression you are paying them some attention.

Good value headphones.......2007-11-28
These headphones are amazing value (bought at £23) with great sound quality and reasonable adjustability. Comfortable and compact design with good styling too.
Since these are closed construction this boosts the bass and helps reduce ambient noise well. N.B. Because of this it is more than likely you will want to adjust the equaliser to give a balanced full range of pitch.
Adjustment of the actual headphones is infinite with a ball - socket joint and the over ear part is flexible rubber. The length of the neckband is NOT adjustable, but seems the right length for me (quite big head!) and will certainly last since its metal reinforced.
Well designed with a good single sided cable design to help prevent tangling and snagging. Plenty long enough cable too (1.2m)
Slight niggle that there are 2 small cables going into each of the phones that may get snagged if you're not careful. As with all other neckband headphones they are not folding, however the ear pieces do fold flat.
Any reviews saying they look fragile are wrong, they're tough and anyway, there is a 2 year warranty if you do manage to break them!!
I know some people don't like neckband headphones, I reccommend you try some neckband headphones before you buy.
Great sound - but completely unwearable.......2007-05-15
These arrived yesterday, and I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed.
The sound quality is great - as most people have come to expect from Sennheiser. This is my second pair, and my girlfriend has a pair too - so safe to say that sound for the price is amazing.
Unfortunately, however, the neck-band design just doesn't work for me - and I suspect I won't be alone.
I wouldn't say I've got a particularly unusual head, in fact as a six foot tall bloke I'd say my head is pretty much standard proportions. Enough capacity to hold my brain and all the other bits that are in there - but not so big I ever have a problem finding hats to fit.
Similarly I think I've got pretty normal ears. They're not trophy handles, but nor are they vole-like.
But whoever Sennheiser designed these headphones for, it certainly wasn't for me. The neckband is just unbelievably big - so much so that it feels like it's flapping about behind my head. Worse than this, because it is so big (and heavy) it forces the headphones to sit at a really funny angle on my ears - meaning I can never get a perfect fit.
I was desperately looking for a way to shrink the band - the way you do with any other set of headphones - but this isn't an option. You're stuck with the Sennheiser standard fit.
The ear clips also have a really funny fit - they seem to assume that my ears should be about 3 times they size they are. Again, not user-adjustable.
The earphones themselves are a bit heavy - but I expected this to get a bit better sound quality. But the neckband is unjustifiably heavy and large. It really does weigh the whole thing down, and drags the earphones to a funny angle (made worse by the weird shaped earclips). This has the unwanted side effect that the neckband then rubs against your clothing (particularly bad if you wear anything with even a hint of a collar), which sends a loud rubbing vibration to the earphones. Not exactly what you want if you're planning on using these for running, which is what I suspect a lot of people buy them for.
So overall, I'm pretty gutted really - I was very excited about these, but the strange fit, hampered by a lack of adjustment, makes them all but unwearable.
My advice - by all means consider these as an option, but try them on somewhere before you commit to buying - if your head is the Sennheiser shape then you'll love them, but if not you'll be as dissapointed as me.
Damn good headphones.......2007-03-29
I got my PMX 200 yesterday and im totally happy with them. The sound is impressive, typical Sennheiser. I find them very comfortable as well. I found u get slightly noises while moving ur head but as soon as the music started i cudnt hear them anymore. I read in previous reviews that the bass isnt gd, but i must strongly disagree, the bass is nice and clear. All in all damn gd headphones, totally worth its money.
Not a good fit which impacts sound quality.......2007-03-19
I bought the PMX200 in hope for sound equal to OMX50VC, which have great sound, but I find inner ear headphones make my ears itch like crazy.
Unfortunately I was disappointed because the the PMX200 would not fit or stay in place for me or my partner. I'm 5'6" with a small head, while my partner is 6'5" with a large head. However, when we used our hands to position them and held them with slight pressure against our ears the sound was exceptional and clear, the bass was not powerful but was good. (Plugged into a Mio PDA P550 with no bass adjustment).
Commuter's Dream.......2006-10-25
I use these headphones with an MP3 player, predominately whilst commuting to work on the train. They are pretty comfortable, don't leak sound (unless you REALLY crank up the volume - and even then it's fairly light leakage) and do a reasonable job of isolating you from external sound. My journey is short (15/20 minutes normally) and they are ideal for that. I also use them if I have jobs to do around the house - DIY normally - and I always get in trouble with my wife as she cannot tell that my player is on and I cannot hear her (as I said they don't leak sound and they isolate fairy well).
They are fantastic for the price however they are not without problems.
1. I have a set of PX100s which have a fancy carry case that they fold into. These don't have a case and I'm not sure how long the ear clips will last based on this fact - although I've had them a couple of months now and they haven't broken yet!
2. When I first used them I found them very uncomfortable if worn for an extended period of time - over time they have become more comfortable but they are still not perfect.
As you would expect with a Sennheiser product the sound quality of great with nice pounding base - unlike other headphones there is no need to up the volume to get good bass response. The speakers are fairly large and as you up the volume there is no distortion of the sound.
I like these and I'm giving them 8/10.
