Sony Bluetooth Headphone
Customer Reviews:
great product, but..........2008-01-04
i've been using the Sony DR-BT10CX with my HTC Touch for the past few months and am very pleased with the sound quality i am receiving. i am having two major problems that i do not know how to fix:
1. every time i go to connect the headset to the phone, i have to go into the bluetooth settings, uncheck the boxes a) wireless stereo and b) headset, then save those changes. then i have to go back into the settings and re-check the boxes and save. - this is a nightmare of an issue, when the headset should simply connect automatically when turned on.
2. making calls is fine, but when a call is received it does not answer through the headset, but through the phone. pointless if you are driving for example...
if anyone knows how i can fix this, i'd love to hear a solution...
Impressive.......2007-12-10
The sound of the phones isn't exactly natural, with an exaggerated and somewhat overblown bass response. However, the sound is very clear, refined and easy on the ear for long term listening - not what you would expect of a fairly low priced in-ear phone (considering you get the convenience of bluetooth wireless into the bargain). One point of warning - the phones actually fit into the ear canal, some people may find this uncomfortable. Apart from that... Highly Recommended.
good quality.......2007-11-13
very good sound quality and nice and loud for all thouse rockers out there battery is long lasting and having its own stand its always charged ready for when you need it the onli problem is the headphones, they can be abit uncomfertable as they hav to be shoved into your ear but being that way they dont fall out on ther own of if accsidently pulled
Fantastic Headphones.......2007-09-15
I never imagined bluetooth stereo headphones could be so great. I got excellent sound quality with them. I wear them all the time, be it tradmill or lifting weights.

Interesting!.......2006-08-04
I have had three pairs of these ear phones and I'm about to buy my 4th... I think they are a great product apart from the durability... my current pair have litterally fallen apart (1 i have had stolen, and 1 i have lost)... however for my big tabs I find them far more comfortable than MDR-EX71SLW which while excersising fell out and never got good sound reproduction and very little bass!
These lil beauties are always loud enough with plenty off bass... these other guys must have fnny shaped ears...
Worth a look in my eyes.... im just going to buy my fourth pair!
poor, especially for sony.......2006-08-01
i bought these as a replacement for another pair of sony headphones that i had used until they were worn out. i found these uncomfortable and they didn't stay in my ears when i was sat still let alone when i tried to exercise or simply move around. i also found that they had a design fault in the rubber part at the top, it snapped off after a short while and though flexible didn't stay in the position that i put it in. all in all i wasn't impressed with the product, especially as i have never had a problem with sony before.
OK.......2006-03-03
These are ok, they need getting used to, problems i first encountered were that the left headphone keeps on falling out, the right headphon stays in, these are rubbish if ur always on the move, what i dnt understand is why they did not make the rubber part bigger so it goes around the ear all the way instead of half way, they are ok, the sound quality is good, but u need to get used to them.
booooo.......2006-02-10
theyre terrible, im not sure what the clip things are for, cos they dont hold anything, uinless u wanna hang them on your ears when your not listening to your mp3 plaer or whatever.
yeah, when im walking with them they fall out of my ears every 100 metres or so.
no one needs that.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent quality.......2005-02-16
Great quality, although it would be better if it could pick up things further away.
Useful mic for live recordings.......2004-03-15
I bought this mic here because it cost the same as a used one on ebay, and have used it to record complex (ie varying dynamics, loud/soft, accapella and amplified) music. Despite being near the back of the hall the sound was clear and due to the switchable 90/120 degree pattern, in good stereo. I used it with a Sony MZ900 minidisc, which gave me adjustable record level and mic sensitivity, and would recommend either (or both) to anybody wanting tocapture a variety of live music. One point to note is that, if recording discreetly, ie mic held down at seat level, the side elements (using the 120 degree position) will pick up sounds from the audience. This isn't a criticism of the mic, just that it's quite sensitive and best to monitor the position you use it in before recording. Hope this helps.
Amazing Sound Quality!.......2004-02-05
An excellent microphone. I wasnt too sure when i got the microphone whether or not it would pick up my guitar playing very well, and whether there was going to be fuzzy background noise. But amazingly, there was no fuzzy background noise. The sensitivity on the mic is amazing. You can also set different levels of the mic according to your mini disc or player that you have. this is a very good microphone for musicians, teachers who want to record in a concert or at home.
A very well worth product, at a very reasonable price.
like it or not.......2003-12-07
the ms907 remains one of the best performing microphones i have had the pleasure of using. the fact that it is battery powered (amplified) assures the recording in most any circumstances..ie conferences, concerts, ambiance...
Concerning the quality i was overwhelmed by its ability to capture the xtrem high pitches as well thundering bass tones that rattle the windows at my home.
It has the options of recording angles 90° or 120°, depending on the source and the positioning of the microphone itself.
In fact the only times that the recordings were of poor quality i found out that either the positionment was bad or i forgot to change the batteries!! I'd recommend rechargable AA batteries, you only need one at a time.
I gave it 4 stars because 5 stars well ya know nobody is perfect...4 1/2 stars if you wish.
concerning the price in france it remains extemely expensive in comparison to its e-neighbours. 149-150euros in all the shops. so much for a liberal economy.
the prices at amazon rests modest.
good sampling
ciao
GREAT!.......2003-12-07
when i brought this, i wasn't sure how good the sound quality would be, then, to my amazment, it was perfect. I recorded a concert, and the mic was miles away from the musicians, and it was perfect! a great buy!

Really great buy.......2007-11-27
i got this mainly for Raiding on WoW ( World of Warcraft ) and it has been really good for me they can hear me perfect and i can hear them... for the price you cant knock it... i love it... only thing is.. after a few hours it can make ur ears hurt abit but i find if u take it off for a 5 min break its ok.... all in all its a good headset
Great concept, bad craftsmanship.......2007-08-27
There isn't much one can say about a headset.
The sound quality is good enough for gaming, the microphone is good quality, and personally I find this item comfortable to wear.
For that I give it 5 stars in "how much fun..."
Over-all however, I give it three stars. This is due to the craftsmanship of the headset in general.
I have ordered two of these from two completely seperate sources. One amazon, and one another site.
The first I ordered from amazon came broken, the circular cap in the middle of each earpiece on the outside (which is molded on, not clipped on) was broken, it was on the side of the Microphone, and ultimately it is required to hold the mic in, otherwise it will fall out with dangling wires.
Not bothered about something so trivial, I taped it back in place without causing a fuss. Later it became a problem re-taping it so I decided to buy a replacement.
The replacement came through the door with the EXACT same problem!
I sent it back and am still using the one I got from amazon, which provides great sound quality and evidently, is long lasting as far as the speakers are concerned.
My gripe is that I shouldn't need to make repair work on a brand new product just out of the box before I even use it.
Bottom line is when I can be bothered replacing the headset, I will buy a different model or brand. I feel the physical design of this one is faulted.
I'd like to re-iterate that I do NOT feel this is in any way Amazon's fault, or even the delivery people's fault.
Having the exact same breakage while still in the packaging twice in a row from seperate sellers seems to be more than a coincidence.
If you get one that isn't broken, or don't mind doing your own repair work, then this might be one of the best stereo headsets you ever use, but my lack of confidence in the design, as I said before, is why I give it an overall 3 stars.
No problems here.......2007-07-17
Got this headset from amazon through the post today. easy to setup, just plug in and you're off. Fits nicely on your head, no hooks that nake your ears sore. This headset is also very light in weight so another added bit of comfort Sound quality is crisp and very clear. Microphone works fine too, those complaining about having to shout, check your settings, mic boost etc. Can't recommend this one enough. Bargain!
My ears went blue..........2007-07-17
I'm sorry but after having this for a year I've finally stopped kidding myself. This is possibly the most uncomfortable headset on the entire planet, within half and hour of use my ears felt as if they were were going to drop off. I can't even game its so uncomfortable.
Additionally, whats up with the mic? It's so far from the mouth you have to turn 'mic boost gain on' and even then its quiet for people on the other end of the line. How could such a flaw in design take place?
Fancy designing something that is only for people with a very specific head size. The whole fitting around the back of the head malarchy is a dead end design, I mean you can't even lean back in your chair! Stick with over the head, far more practical, adjustable and comfortable.
The sound is all I'm giving it stars for.
Appalling waste of money, avoid at all costs.
Logitech unprecision PC Gaming Headset with bad microphone.......2007-05-10
Simply, the headset is designed in such a way that you have to shout for the microphone to pic up any noice, the settings on my computer are even set to Microphone Boost and it is still very quiet, If buying for the sound quality go for it, but the microphone just is not positioned right to pick up your voice

Customer Reviews:
Very expensive to pack up so soon !!!.......2007-03-05
As another reviewer has said, it just packs up working on one channel for no reason after a year or so of use. I got 2 years and I treated it well. Don't expect any answers from Sony, they don't even bother to reply. My next mic won't be a Sony either. It works well, as people say - nice clear crisp reproduction ... until it doesn't and then you feel the recordings were rather more expensive than you'd budgetted on!
Good if used with the proper equipment. .......2006-06-09
I use a Sony MZ-NH1 Hi-MD recorder with this mic, so far I have been able to produce some very clear recordings. This kind of mic should only ever be used with a mic-in socket. My Mini Disc has this, as well as an option to increase sensitivity in the unit menu. I find using the battery is unnecessary, the plug in power produces great recordings.
Stereo output stopped working.......2006-04-12
Really liked the microphone until this week - have had it for little over a year, and the stereo output has stopped working.
Was disappointed a bit, and my next mic won't be a Sony.
Really pleased with it.......2006-02-12
I was given this Sony ECM-719 mic (along with a Sony MZ-RH10 minidisc player) for Christmas, specifically for recording Irish fiddle lessons and group sessions, so that I can listen to the tunes back home and learn them - also to store them for future reference.
The sound quality is absolutely brilliant! It has been commented on by my fellow fiddlers, as it is better than their assortment of walkmans, ipods etc. I don't just get the tunes clearly, also get real clarity of spoken asides, jokes etc, really picks up the atmosphere with no distortion.
I am a non-tekkie, so do not know what to make of line-out comments and such like, just can hear this is a brilliant mic for the job I need it for.
Be wary of 'line in' minidisk recorders!.......2006-01-10
Information for 'Jimbo' - or anyone else having problems with recording volume from microphones. Recorders generally have different sensitivities for 'line in' and 'microphone in'.
Sony minidisc recorders always (?) used to have mic inputs. Many recent models only have 'line input' . A microphone will need a preamp to produce enough volume. (Power is required for any 'condenser' type mic. - this is nothing to do with a pre-amp - it still only produces mic. level output.
I was dissapointed to discover this when I recently upgraded to a 'long play' and USB computer connectable Sony MD model. Even more dissapointed (disgusted even) to find Sony's copyright protection system stopped me copying my own music back to my computer for editing.(music that I wrote myself, played myself, and recorded myself!)
Back to 'line input!
Archos produce a 'cheap' microphone with a small battery powered pre-am, specifically for use with 'line-input'. It is also possible to plug a better quality mic. into the pre-amp (standard mini-jack connections)

Customer Reviews:
Good, for a while.......2007-01-25
Being a student on a budget I bought these back in April 2006, so I could talk to family and friends whilst away from home. Did the job great, clear at both ends of conversation and no complaints, but only for about 6 months, when one speaker went intermittent, then died completely. Not a big deal, until the other speaker did the same last week. Doh! So £9 for 9 months? Replacement set will be of better quality.
Wires.......2006-09-29
The Qualitiy of these headphones is great and the adjustable microphone works well. Unfortunately the microphone and audio wires only seperate 3 inches from the end of the wire. This may mean you have to unplug you main speaker each time you want to use the headset if you dont have a microphone port and a headphone port on the front of your computer.
Cheap and worth it!.......2006-09-23
I bought this headset mainly for the price, and its definitely worth it! I use it all the time on MSN and it works great! The mic records clearly and when having voice conversions on Messenger there isn't any problems! I'd definitely recommend this for someone on a budget!
Could do better........2006-04-01
The sound is acceptable (nice and clear) but the microphone is awful. My buddies on teamspeak could hardly hear me. Not the most comfortable for me either. Get a set of altec lansing instead. Same cost but more comfort, better sound a mic that works and an inline volume/mic control.
Good Value for Money.......2006-02-25
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the headset, especially considering the price. I only noticed the product due to an Amazon recommendation and bought it to test the quality of lower prized headsets. It works fine with both MSN and Skype.
