The Pulsar 260 is a "pod" that connects to your musicphone over Bluetooth A2DP to provide stereo audio. A set of wired earbuds, with an inline mic, connect to the Pulsar 260 itself, where you'll find controls for track skipping and volume (which operate on the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
When a call comes in, the music stream is put on pause automatically - the user can take the call by pressing the button on the mic.

This product however was easy to connect, and the quality is great with my HTC TyTn.

Disappointing........2007-11-16
It always strikes me as odd that in what appears to be a digital/wireless world how much we are still dependent on wires to listen to something as basic as FM radio. I was very disappointed to discover this particularly as most reviews and the Nokia website mention that one can 'listen to stereo music wirelessly..' with the phone. Indeed the phone and headset are compatible with just 2 areas - the mp3 player and the making and receiving of calls.
With that said it's a neat package and very easy to setup but it does seem a little pointless to offer a headet that only seems to do some of the job.
Great wireless headphones.......2007-10-09
I just got this headset as a present. It works just perfect with my Nokia 5300. The signal is very strong and I got a perfect reception 7 meters away from the phone and in a different room.
The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because they feel a bit heavy after some time. The longest I was wearing them so far was 30 minutes and after that time they didn't feel as comfortable as when I just put them on. But I can live with that and I hope I will get used to them.
Just decided to add that after a few weeks I really got used to them and learned how to wear them comfortably. I'm also jogging in them and they stay on and don't move around.

... and works flawlessly with my Nokia 5300 express music. It delivers clear, crisp sounds. I was a bit worried about the quality of the conversation but so far it has handles phonecalls very well, even in windy conditions.
Sometimes the signals jumps a bit, but miving the phone round helps and in general there is no problem.
It is a worthwhile investment to secure freedom from the wires. I recommend it as long as you can ignore the strange looks from people as they see you talking to no one.

I purchased these headphones because of the included usb connector. The connector/driver is tempermental. I sometimes have to reboot a couple of times to get winxpsp2 to recognize it. Sound quality on skype is good for both headset and microphone. Headphones may be flimsy, but are also light and comfortable.

[...] the usb connection is useful the actual headset is very flimsy and the key thing is that the microphone can move vertically but not horizontally, which meant that the first time I put the headset on the microphone was practically in my mouth - there is some flexibility in the microphone arm but as I said - disappointingly flimsy for the price.
UPDATE- yep they have broken already, and I was being careful as I said I had noticed they were flimsy; The left ear piecekeeps falling out it's socket. RUBBISH.

Bought these headphones for the developers in work, some of whom use Skype, but was disappointed that the free 120mins offer lapsed on 31.03.2006! This really should be stated. But overall happy with the product

I bought this headset a while back to use for Skype calls. My calls last around 1 to 2 hours, so I needed something which is comfortable and has good sound quality. This product gives me both of those qualities. I have already bought a second set to use in the office and bought a third set for friends. This product is great and easy to use/set up.
Excellent Headset for MacOSX and Macintosh machines.......2005-10-17
I bought this after reading a few reviews online and seeing that people with OSX 10.3.x got it and seemed to be happy with it so I thought I'd give it a go.
No problems whatsoever just plugged it in and it works very well, shows up in sound as Plantronics Headset in OSX 10.4.2.
Audio quality of the earphones is very good and certainly good enough for music and gaming. The microphone is of outstanding quality for the price and this headset works extremely well with Skype which is the main reason for my purchase. Phone conversations for both myself and others are much clearer and audible. Outstanding headset and recommended for all Mac users, the headset runs from the Keyboard USB port no problems.
Small electrical spikes are noticeable through the headset, but if your electric supply is clean and you have a UPS or Surge protected strips you hardly notice them.

Disposable adequacy.......2007-11-17
I've just thrown away a pair of these headphones. They were OK while they lasted. But after exactly two years they'd totally had it. The mic wasn't working anymore, one of the phones was only connecting intermittently and one of the foam covers had fallen apart.
They never fitted very tightly, which may be a matter of personal preference (or a matter of the space between your ears). The consequence of this was that the bass wasn't as effective as it could be - if you pressed the phones to your ears a little.
I've replaced them with a pair costing a third the price and working just as well (and fitting more tightly). If you're going to buy a disposable product, you might as well buy the cheapest.

Does what it says.......2008-01-02
Had them delivered today and took about 5 minutes to set up. Am amazed at the sound quality and build for this price. I nearly bought a set from Waitrose for £35 but dongle was missing, I'm glad it was, as these are far superior. All in all I'm well pleased and looking forward to using them with my Ipaq PDA.

This is a great headset, good sound quality and bluetooth connection, perfect for using with the ps3 better then those sinlge ear things that feel like there eating your ear. Mic is great on max setting picks up alot of sound and on medium setting it only picks up my voice no background sound. great product great price
Brilliant value compared to wired headphones.......2007-12-31
Been looking for wireless headphones for a while, when I realised that these would cover both my PC and phone. So much fun for so little cash!
Pros:
- very easy setup
- using A2DP, the stereo is excellent (to my untrained ear)
- mike pickup is much better than expected. Its nice not to have a stupid boom sticking in your face!
- works with Nokia, etc, not just Moto phones. I have a Nokia 6120 Classic.
- more convenient than over-the-head phones
- plenty of remote controls - stop,pause,skip back/forward, etc.
- battery life better than expected. Played several hours worth of music, and haven't yet had to recharge them a week later. Great when you're used to charging your phone every 48 hours...
- as cool as my daughter's iPod, but for 1/6th the cost. :-)
Cons:
- weight sits on top of ears, so they can become uncomfortable after 30-60 mins or so. But then again, that's about as long as I manage with standard headphones.
- I had some connectivity issues with PC but not with phones, so I think that's my USB dongle's fault, not the Motorolas.
- The mike suppresses some frequencies heavily, presumably to dampen in-car noise. Not a problem, but not as crisp as using the phone directly.
Overall, considering Skype headsets cost around a tenner, £18 for Bluetooth headphones has to be 5 out of 5 stars, even with the minor niggles.

Bought from Amazon Market place seller. Arrived very quickly. Took about 10 seconds to pair with my Moto Krzr K1 phone. Sound quality for both music and phone calls is fantastic for the price. Have also used with a Samsung P2 mp3 player to great effect. Neck band style might not appeal to everyone and although I'm not small (6ft 2, with 61cm head circumference), had no problems with fitting of headphones. Yours ears get used to them after 5 minutes and they seal around your ears very well.
My advice? Go and buy them.....

The quality of the headphones are brilliant, the sound quality is superb - Good bass, Good treble, excellent clarity. BUT The design is crap...that is the ONE MASSIVE let down!
Once you wear the Headphones, you think Wow! Then you look into the mirror.... They stick out like alien ears, and no i'm not joking! SO many people - friends & Family have worn them and it really degrades thier appearance. The headphones also have a bad support for you ears because after half an hour it starts to really ache behind your ears, at first i thought i would get used to them but that was wrong, it still hurts if i wear them.
A good light-weight product is motorola's other series which is "Motorola S9" it is fantastic.

Great solution for music and mobile!.......2008-01-10
I've been considering getting myself a bluetooth headset for a while, mainly for use with my phone but I've also been looking for a solution to connect to my iPod and my computer wirelessly. This product provides the best of both worlds!
Sound wise you're getting a decent quality set of headphones, well capable of handling anything my iPod throws at it. The seamless switch between iPod and mobile is also great, with a simple "answer" button on the right-hand headphone.
The product looks good except for one detail - the large flashing blue light on the right-hand headphone. Apart from attracting unwanted attention, it probably uses battery life. I've also been called an air traffic controller in the office, but at least i'm not picking up other people's wireless music channels anymore! The telescopic microphone seems to work well enough, I've had no complaints from people I've been talking to as I walk around the city.
Battery life is good, easily running for the duration of my 8 hour work day. Comparing to my old wireless headphones this is great!
One problem is an occasional loss of signal but it usually corrects itself within seconds (this may be down to the cold here in Helsinki though).
I would definitely recommend this product as a solution for combination iPod/Mobile connectivity. If you're an audiophile this product is not for you and anyway, why are you even looking at bluetooth headphones!?

I bought these to go with my bluetooth enabled laptop. They also work fine with the included adaptor plugged into an mp3 player or TV phono jack. The range is pretty good and I can wander around the house. The longevity on a single charge is OK but only just, which is the payback for such a lightweight headset. They work well with my phone!

I got these headphone's for my i-pod & phone and love the sound very loud also good if you like lots of bass.
When i got my ps3 and was going to get a headset but thought i would try these first and they work very well great sound the mic is good but you have to adjust the levels as friends said i was shouting alot when i was just talking as normal!
have to say yes they are not cheep but worth it as most of my ps3 clan mate and non ps3 friends have asked where to get them!
One friend has 3 bluetooth headsets so far and i can't understand him on resistance or in voice chat. if he got these he would have spent £10 more so i would recomend these to any one who wants a headset as works on every thing i have that is bluetooth & 3.5mm jack !!!

Works well for motorbike sat-nav & mp3 player.......2007-05-09
I bought this to hear the instructions dished out by my Garmin Zumo motorcycle sat-nav and also listen to my MP3 player when riding. It is easy to pair up and works very well. The music gets faded out when a direction is given, then, after a couple of seconds it's faded in again. The quality of the music from the MP3 player is as good as if the bluetooth thingy isn't there (actually, the bluetooth unit doesn't even need to be switched on to listen to music which might interest you if you use the supplied ear-phones). The supplied headphones are good but the lead is quite short. I use the ones from my MP3 player for two reasons: 1) They are 'in-ear' phones which cut out most external noise (like ear plugs!). 2) They are long enough for the main bluetooth unit to slip into a waterproof pocket on my bike jacket (the manufacturer claims it is 'shower proof' any way, and I don't make or take calls when riding). The battery life is excellent (6-8 hours talk-time, over a week on standby and a two hour charge time). Also the volume controls are easy to use and work well.
It's a really good unit for the purpose described above and also at a reasonable price (under £30). I have also tried it with a bluetooth phone. It works very well with a phone too but the main unit would need to be clipped to your lapel so that the microphone would function properly. If you do that, everything is crystal clear. This makes it ideal for anyone who spends a lot of time listening to a personal music player but doesn't want to miss any calls.
The headphones are interchangeable as there is a 3.5mm jack socket for them. The lead to connect it to your music player is hard wired. I would have preferred to have been able to un-plug this when I don't want music; which is why it I didn't give it 5 stars.

i got this mainly for Raiding on WoW ( World of Warcraft ) and it has been really good for me they can hear me perfect and i can hear them... for the price you cant knock it... i love it... only thing is.. after a few hours it can make ur ears hurt abit but i find if u take it off for a 5 min break its ok.... all in all its a good headset

There isn't much one can say about a headset.
The sound quality is good enough for gaming, the microphone is good quality, and personally I find this item comfortable to wear.
For that I give it 5 stars in "how much fun..."
Over-all however, I give it three stars. This is due to the craftsmanship of the headset in general.
I have ordered two of these from two completely seperate sources. One amazon, and one another site.
The first I ordered from amazon came broken, the circular cap in the middle of each earpiece on the outside (which is molded on, not clipped on) was broken, it was on the side of the Microphone, and ultimately it is required to hold the mic in, otherwise it will fall out with dangling wires.
Not bothered about something so trivial, I taped it back in place without causing a fuss. Later it became a problem re-taping it so I decided to buy a replacement.
The replacement came through the door with the EXACT same problem!
I sent it back and am still using the one I got from amazon, which provides great sound quality and evidently, is long lasting as far as the speakers are concerned.
My gripe is that I shouldn't need to make repair work on a brand new product just out of the box before I even use it.
Bottom line is when I can be bothered replacing the headset, I will buy a different model or brand. I feel the physical design of this one is faulted.
I'd like to re-iterate that I do NOT feel this is in any way Amazon's fault, or even the delivery people's fault.
Having the exact same breakage while still in the packaging twice in a row from seperate sellers seems to be more than a coincidence.
If you get one that isn't broken, or don't mind doing your own repair work, then this might be one of the best stereo headsets you ever use, but my lack of confidence in the design, as I said before, is why I give it an overall 3 stars.

Got this headset from amazon through the post today. easy to setup, just plug in and you're off. Fits nicely on your head, no hooks that nake your ears sore. This headset is also very light in weight so another added bit of comfort Sound quality is crisp and very clear. Microphone works fine too, those complaining about having to shout, check your settings, mic boost etc. Can't recommend this one enough. Bargain!
My ears went blue..........2007-07-17
I'm sorry but after having this for a year I've finally stopped kidding myself. This is possibly the most uncomfortable headset on the entire planet, within half and hour of use my ears felt as if they were were going to drop off. I can't even game its so uncomfortable.
Additionally, whats up with the mic? It's so far from the mouth you have to turn 'mic boost gain on' and even then its quiet for people on the other end of the line. How could such a flaw in design take place?
Fancy designing something that is only for people with a very specific head size. The whole fitting around the back of the head malarchy is a dead end design, I mean you can't even lean back in your chair! Stick with over the head, far more practical, adjustable and comfortable.
The sound is all I'm giving it stars for.
Appalling waste of money, avoid at all costs.

Simply, the headset is designed in such a way that you have to shout for the microphone to pic up any noice, the settings on my computer are even set to Microphone Boost and it is still very quiet, If buying for the sound quality go for it, but the microphone just is not positioned right to pick up your voice

Got this headset to replace my Gear4 Bluphones. Need to listen to music from my PocketPC and be able to pick up and make voice calls reliably.
1. Music / Podcast - excellent sound all round, agree with other reviewer who said high frequency not so good, but overall pretty good I think.
2. pick up and rec'v calls - excellent - all my callers have said they can hear me fine, and I can hear them fine too.
3. looks / aesthetics - my wife says I look stupid with them on - but so what? They work fine as far as I'm concerned and that's all that matters!
4. build quality - reassuringly good
5. comfort - good, keeps ears warm on a cold day, but 2 things ... first, if youv'e got a VERY big head, they won't quite fit and second, the mid of the strap presses down into the crown of the head - fine for wearing an hour or so, but longer? probably not fine
6. controls placement etc. Good! intuitive placing and feel of key controls
I like 'em! They suit me - but may not be to everyones taste - but then nothing is!
Oh - by the way, the Bluphones from Gear4 were TERRIBLE and cost the same, had to flog them at a loss on Ebay ...
Sound is a disappointment.......2007-11-17
Good range, but high frequency response is a disappointment. Muffles your sound, even if used as wired headphones. In Audio Sink (A2DP) mode, higher frequencies are even worse, when lower ones are disproportionally loud and I can hear distortion even on moderate level. Would not recommend as a stereo headset.
